Riding a Tour Bus up the Cyclops Riviera Coast, Catania, Sicily
While Billy and I are not “tour people” we decided to take this bus tour up the coast of Sicily from Catania to Aci Trezza. This area of the coast - filled with lava rock that has come up from underground fissures - is called the Cyclops Riviera. You’ll see an ancient Norman Castle and The Faraglioni formation. The coast is similar to the one in Oregon which also has undersea volcanoes. Take a look!

You can take a look at our Annual Spending here for an idea... retireearlylifestyle.com/aaa/annual_spending_update.htm In terms of what options we use for housing, we generally utilize monthly rents (when available) for hotels, or rent an apartment (off Booking . com). We have never utilized Airbnb, but have many friends who do so. We have done housesitting but prefer the flexibility of the above options instead. Do you feel that Mexico is more expensive now than 30 years ago? I imagine that you were living comfortably on about 300 per month back in the 90’s. I think you need 3,000 per month now.

Well, if one considers the natural rate of inflation that all countries have, then yes, it costs more now to live anywhere than it did 30 years ago. That being said, for the 2 of us we don't spend $3,000USD per month and we live well and also travel. Take a look at our Mexico Page here: www.retireearlylifestyle.com/MEXICO.htm and also our annual spending update page here: retireearlylifestyle.com/aaa/annual_spending_update.htm
