  • For few years I've been working in an upholstery shop,now I'm starting my own small business in my hometown.I am no master in upholstery nor video making.But my wish is for everyone could share and learn together.
    For now I'm using half of my brother's workshop,so excuse me for the unorganized background.
    I'll try to make my video better bit by bit,any comment or suggestion are accepted.Will do my best.

    Amazing work. Probably better than new. I live in the U.S. and it is very hard to find real crafts men, especially ones who can do very high quality work such as yours. You have restored some of my faith in the human race.

      We have plenty of people in the US who do this. We just don't want to pay them because it's cheaper to buy another piece. But they are around. I know a couple of custom upholstery shops around me.

    this is so frustrating to watch haha you made it look so easy. Been trying for months and it's clear there's a massive gap between a true craftsman's skills and everyone else. It's easy to miss how difficult something like this actually is and I'd call myself fairly handy but man this was great to watch. I was doing a lot of things inefficiently after seeing this

    I had to have my gaming chair reupholstered due to peeling in 2019, so it's so cool to watch how it's done. Unfortunately even the new upholstery started to peel off. I'm thinking next time I'm gonna ask for some heavy duty fabric instead because it's pain dealing with little black stuff that sticks to everything. :D
    Best of luck with your business!

      Its cheaper to only replace the cover then buying a new one..well if its just the cover though,if the owner want to replace the foam,the price will probably be almost like buying a new one if not more,depend on the foam grade..
      Or maybe it has some sentimental value to the owner..

      @SabahanUpholstery  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Glad to hear someone starting industrial sewing too. About the scissors, since I started doing upholstery I've never used a branded one, I only used a 10 inch chinese brand scissor and it lasted with me even until now. I've used it before with lighter leather, tarps and it works fine, but I wouldn't recommend using it with heavier leather though. I'm sorry for not being able to recommend something.
