- Today we are in Bangkok Thailand and heading to eat Thai food at ICONSIAM Bangkok's best mall. The food court here is amazing however when @theroamingcook and I arrived it was packed!
So instead we decided to go on a DIY Street Food tour of the local area to find the best street food in Bangkok just walking distance from Iconsiam itself.

Love it when you do a co-lab with Gary. The food looks amazing. Would like to try the soup with the star anise flavour. Hope you had a safe journey to the Next Level Adventure.
Yeah filming and eating with Gary is always a pleasure
Yes yes 👍 what a very enjoyable day you both had … All the food looked amazing im definitely going to try when I’m in Bangkok .
The noodle soup is a MUST
spicey som tam, fried chicken and sticky rice with a cold thai beer,,,, "Leo" and you are living like a rock star !!! 5555
Gosh I feel so homesick to Bangkok. I miss the food. Making plans to travel there again and see my old friends.
Delicious collaboration from my favs. Loved the Som tum lady 😍
The chicken skewers were phenomenal. Ordered 40 of them.
Thai streetfood is the best!❤
You guys make me really hungry 2:48 a.m. Germany, you are torture me 😂😂. Thank you so much for you guys like Thailand and Thai food. Safe traveling and enjoy your food.
Absolutely love you both. Thanks for showing another side to this Icon area. Much prefer eating on the street. Safe travels xx
Our pleasure!
I agree with you Michelle. Icon Siam is expensive, crowded, and about as authentic to Thailand as Main Street at Disneyland is to the USA. But the street food stalls and the Mom&Pop shops like the boys showed are what makes living in Thailand so much fun. Cheers.
We went to the little restaurant with the Sweetcorn salad yesterday. Amazing place, food was epic…… great recco cheers ❤
I'm pretty sure I was there around the same time! It was crazy busy at the food court but absolutely incredible!
Hi 👋 Simply delicious! ! Thanks so much for the food tour!! ✌️
Great collaboration video Paddy with Gary. All the food look delicious and you literally could smell the food through the screen. Gary I just recently subscribed to your channel. Paddy thanks for sharing Gay channel. Paddy so looking forward to your next adventure in the country👍
Love your colab with Gary! Works well!
Great video! This is my neighborhood! Our first apartment rental was on Charoen Nakhon Soi 10 but now we live near Krung Thon Buri BTS. It's great to see some restaurants in this area getting some attention.
Very cool!
Thanks, Paddy. Man a lot of food back-to-back. Looked good. BTW, I watched the interview of you on The Thaiger. Very interesting. It looks like I'll be heading right back to Thailand, but to some of the islands, so I will have to rewatch some of your old videos for tips! Safe travels to your next destination.
Gary has so much street cred with these street food vendors because he knows the language
Thank you both of you. that helps promote Thai food
Coming to BKK in two weeks and looking forward to trying all these foods! Love you guys and please more like this!
Always a pleasure, never a chore treacle ❤
OK ... I haven't had breakfast other than a warm left-over beer ... Mouth is watering too much whilst watching the intro to this video. Gotta go get something to eat. Will return soon with the greatest of enthusiasm and a colder beer. Rock on! dcb
Glad you enjoyed it David!
Love your shirt, Paddy! Oh and I love it when you and Gary get together.
Good on both you, Paddy and to Gary... I swear I could smell and even taste the Pork Satay in peanut sauce.
Can't wait for the next series Paddy!
starting very soon!!!
You almost skewered yourself with that Moo Satay there Paddy 🤣. I enjoy all your videos so please be careful 😅
Thanks for always adding the google maps locations! I'm living in Thailand now and really enjoy your videos.
Legends. Gary Enjoying your collabs more and more.
You make great videos Paddy. A long way from Varee!
Rarely you've seen these 2 gentlemen really pay a compliment like in this video, esp. the first Guay Jab noodle soup, but when you saw it you knew right away it's the real deal. 👍🤩
I think you should do more TH-cam collaborations. because i like both of you And I like Gallery's son and wife and Miss P too👍🥰😍
Paddy, that shirt is fabulous. Goes well with your skin color
Loved this video, I am currently in Bangkok and will definitely check those places out, thanks guys!
It indeed very busy in siam P I still
Love watching your videos
Thanks for showing the real local street food around Iconsiam! The indoor ‘street food’ is comfortable but nothing beats the outdoor street food ..
Love Satay so will be looking this up when we arrive. I would be that guy at 711 waiting at 4:59 but seriously never knew about that rule. Looking forward to your next series, hope it's as enjoyable as your Lost in Laos.
Really loved this one! ❤
Fab video! The satay looked so tasty. Now I know why I couldn’t find beer in 7 11 in august in the afternoon in Samui 🤣noted for next time!
Love watching you two have a get together Paddy! Greetings from Koh Samui…we will be heading to Bangkok next week and we hope that we can easily find the pork noodle shop:) Thanks for sharing & hope that you’re having a blast in the Philippines 😊
I really wish we had seen this prior to our ICONSIAM visit in December! ICONSIAM was impressive, but sort of a zoo early on a Friday evening.
Satay(sate) originally came from madura regency-east java province, Indonesia 🇮🇩
They use lamb meat, we don't deep in coconut water before grilled but deep it in sweet soy sauce, now sate Indonesia using all meat like beef (sumatra province),chicken and rabit (west java province)
I use to live next to that place I love it ! THis shop is really great !
Everything looks very yummy and delicious. I think those little chicken kababs on the stick (satay) are my favorite! Isan food is a blend of Thai and Lao and its usually the spiciest of Thai foods! Great video! Alway love when you are hanging out with my mate Gary, a bit better when you start off with a few beers first!!!
So good!
Can't wait to see more of you 🥰
Would love to have hung out with you two but I was always a day or two behind! Anyway. Gary love your work and the knowledge you share with us and what can u say Paddy? Looking forward to that next, next level journey with fav U2BR! Travel safe.
Next time!
Great job guys!
And thanks for add the link of those addresses.
As you walk out the back of icon, turn right. There is a food court with some good value restaurants, I lived across the river to the icon. I went on the free ferry to the icon, daily. Great shops etc but food is expensive and packed with tourists etc. Always went out to the road behind for value, sometimes I would buy cheap takeaways and eat it in AC of icon 😉
Many Isaan foods originated in the Northeast and have been adopted by Laos.
Such as Som Tam Thai (Thai papaya salad ) , Corn salad , Chim Chum ( Isaan hot pot ) and Sua Rong Yai. It originated in Thailand, but in a few years it has spread to Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and Malaysia, but the taste in Thailand is the most delicious.
Omg that soup looks so 👍
Very nice!
Hi Paddy
Great video , heading to SE Aisa for 6 weeks, I see you taking ice we were warned about ice causing tummy problems, any advice?
Thanks Pat
Paddy previously mentioned that their stomachs used to it having lived their for long time. Best to avoid as a tourist from western countries unless in hotels.
Hey guys thanks for the video! We ate yesterday at the 1st place and OMG it was amazing! Even my partner said that was the best food she's had in Thailand so far. And the lady and son were so polite and made us feel like eating at home 👍🏽
Love that you enjoyed it
“Satay” dish also served in most Singapore Airlines flights😊
Also had great satay on Malaysian Airlines once flying KUL to Bali.
I went there before but so busy then I went to eat in the restaurant up there😄
100 sticks of pork satay only cost about $26 USD or 26 cents each! Here in the US, Thai restaurants sell them as appetizers for about $11 but you only get 5-6 sticks.
Amazing!! Does anyone know how to pronunciation for the beginners version for the pork belly noodle soup? 🫶🏽🙏🏽

👍🥰🇹🇭
@@omgwth7567 thank you!!!
All is the best place in Bangkok. Guarantee
Not to be missed in ICONSIAM is the sweet green grapefruit, fresh squeezed orange juice, sweet longan, and the pork leg stew on rice.
I appreciate that you tag all these places on google map.
sat in a cold England eating a home made Pad Krapow wishing i was back i Thailand .
I stayed right across the river from the mall for two weeks, I would go over there sometimes for lunch or dinner, in fact, as you’re signing off in the background, what’s my hotel, the Sheraton
Oh i love this noodle!!!
Colourful, but maybe it’s time for some non-street food? Some royal Thai kitchen maybe?
Coming to bkk in few days hopefully going to explore these street food there.can you please gv me the directions of these places.thanks
Icon Siam is a beautiful shopping mall, and the ground level food court is designed to represent a Thai village marketplace. The food is incredible! Walk around and sample food as you would on the street before sitting down for a meal at manny great restaurants. Enjoy..
Am still trying to work out why you cut the Cambodian trek short and are now back again eating in Bangkok?
Cambodia was a blast. But I just didn't have energy to bike around anymore. The year is a bike free year
Thanks for going to Cambodia 🇰🇭 paddy
Yes, guess who's back.
Garys, back.
I was singing that. Haha, Love that.
Omg, Gary always makes me feel hungry. He a younger version of Matt Goss showing food porn. Hehe.
Lovely Jubbly.
Ok little hungry now. Great video. Loved this. Love you two together.
Lovely Jubbly Nicky !
@@PaddyDoyle. 🤣🤣
Laos or camdodya???
ทำไมผมเห็นชื่อคลิปเป็นภาษาเขมร เพราะเนื้อเรื่องอยู่ในไทย คนอื่นเห็นเหมือนกันไหมครับ
Where you eat ' kui cap" mean included interior of the chicken.
Got another 2 hours to wait on my beef casserole in the slow cooker 🤦♂Id still swap with guys without a blink of an eye 👍
So, being allergic to shellfish, how safe is it eating in such places? I'd imagine not very since everything is mashed in the same vessel...
When are you doing more Cambodia videos?
Never had pork satay. Just seen chicken and beef. I prefer beef. But pork could be really good, so I'd like to try...
Cheers Paddy
😍😍😍
❤❤❤
What is the reason why in Thailand they don't sell alcohol between 2-5?
I still don't understand the reasons behind this rule. 🤨
I'm Thai btw. 😅🇹🇭
How long have you two guys been in love? ❤
Lovely jubbly. 🤣😊
Our English sayings are so weird....
@@PaddyDoyle. there the best, lol
@@PaddyDoyle. I think they are fun and sometimes adorable! 😆😁
I dunno it was busy, but we managed to get a table
It's funny how differently we Aussies pronounce satay lol
"the new country" --- let's call it Country X. ;-)
Hi guys!Short sad story,my husband got food poisoning at Icon Siam.Better to eat streetfood right on the streets, for sure is more fresh and healthy.
😎👍

Bahh. I'm loving all of his content. And I'm sure he's working on the next adventure. And if it's boring, just don't watch it. 👍
Why you use Khmer language here ??
Fixed
you havae to go to india
You've been touring Laos and Isan before. The Thai province of Isan used to be part of the kingdom of Laos, there are more ethnic Laotian living in Isan (22 millions) than in Laos itself (8 millions), that's a sizable portion of the total Thai population of 72 millions. French colonial power, having occupied Indochina in the 19th century, has arbitrarily redrawn national boundaries in agreement with Thai authorities at the time giving Thailand rule over the Isan province that used to belongs to Laos. But border dispute still arises between the two countries which came to blows in 1987.
According to French map, the village of Ban Romklao near Phitsanulok belongs to Laos but the Thai used an American map which shows the village is within their territory, so they occupied the village but were driven out by a Laotian counter strike. French map must be official because it was drawn in agreement with the kingdom of Siam. Anybody's been there to check that out? There is a subtantial community of Vietnamese living in Isan, they brought with them their culinary culture. Maybe you can find Pho in Laos and in Isan.

Another food tour. Boring....
At the moment, it's a food channel.
🍩
Why don’t you watch something else then. You’re always complaining in his comments, I’ve seen you pop up a few times moaning about food and advertising. Just find another channel!
@Tony Smith and maybe you should stop only to complain about complaints.
@@tonysmith9293 I hope Paddy is interested in honest feedback. By the way, this was my second comment.
...always....
God I miss Bangkok been back in UK for 2 weeks and my god I miss the people, atmosphere, weather and food so bloody much Good luck in the Cup today Paddy NUFC 🤍🖤⚽️
