DAMN - that's a beautiful model ... and my heart was in my mouth when the engine flamed out. Stopped breathing until she was on the ground and coasted to a stop. VERY nicely recovered.
I don't watch these RC videos very often because while I admire the builders and the pilots I also imagine it must be tragic to lose a beautiful aircraft like this in a crash. The hobby must be very rewarding while at the same time nerve racking to watch your creation flying around hoping nothing goes wrong. So glad the baby bird made it home safely.
I sighed at the end of that too... Nice dead stick. Great job. I used to fly there in Arvada. My channel has a lot of videos from there. I moved away 2 years ago though. I really miss that field...
As a kid i flew and built many r/c models. Now i am fortunate to be able to fly full scale Aircraft and it still is amazing to me that so many people think if the Engine quits... you will always crash. Beautiful F86 by the way....
Wow. I was thinking, "why is this video titled this way?". Then I read some of the comments. I just thought the sound on the video went out and didn't realize that the engine just stopped. Nice job getting it back on the ground.
I love watching videos of guys flying model airplanes. My dad flew them for years and years before he died. But, I could never get him to build himself a jet model. He just did not like the ducted fan engines. Great video. Screw the haters.
It's absolutely fantastic. I hope to get some more video of it this summer (without the missing 10 seconds). 🙂🙂🙂 There are many more awesome models here. Hope you enjoy the rest of the videos.

Because then you have to get license to fly it, and airworthiness certifications for the plane, and it becomes a ginormous, expensive, bureaucratic SNAFU.
@@stevejordan7275 Agreed but the Wright brothers ( Louis Bleriot ) didn’t have to bother and look what they did. There is also part 108 or whatever it is called... unregulated under a certain weight...

No worries... That's probably one of the most awesome models I've taken video of, in one of the worst videos I've done. Was it a flame out or a mechanical failure? I think I heard metal to metal contact as she comes to a stand. Awesome model though. It takes some serious guts to put so much money into the air and hopefully bring it back down again.
I just checked it on Google Earth... It's 913 feet from the end of the runway to the closest utility pole. The full zoom in on the plane makes them look closer than they are. You really don't even think about them when flying. Hope you enjoying the videos.
Spent some time in tha USAF this was impressive, I remember Scott AFB I was in radio maintance spent some time at ST Anthony Newfoundland at a AC&W radar site.. don't miss that much..
A number of thousands. People who laugh at big RC jets that crash and burn don't understand the quantity of money that was just instantly destroyed, not to mention hundreds (if not thousands) of hours invested in building it.
It's amazing how many people want complete carnage. And then give a Thumbs Down because there was no fireball. Sick! My heart sinks every time this happens whether the camera is on or not.
Of note is the glide performance of larger models. If this had been 2/3rds the size it wouldn't have got back to the runway. You cant beat the Reynolds numbers.
Didn't go as planned, but went way better than it could have! Nice piloting skills.

it looked to me to be a perfectly planed flam out and landing. one of the best ive seen. real nice job.
One of my favorite jets. So glad this beautiful model made it back safely!
When you land with all the big parts, you had a great flight!!! Well done Sir!
From the title I was waiting for it to nosedive into the ground. Good job bringing it back in one piece!
Beautiful model, superb save. As the others all say, well done sir!!!
Glad you like it. Enjoy 🙂
Beautiful Saber. That sudden silence gets the adrenaline pumping. Excellent emergency dead stick .
only this is is a stickless bird by design
That looks like a lot of fun! Glad you saved the day

It depends on when the engine quits, or rather how high, altitude is life
Best sounding RC jet I"ve ever heard. (Seriously -- before it cut out) Sounded like the real thing as it was flying downwind.
Well done! Could have been very bad ending but good pilot and cool head saved the day and the plane

Yes they fly on wings but need a power plant to execute۔

Not 100% sure but often it's air that got into the fuel flow. Thanks for asking.

To my eyes, went exactly as planned. Ground runup, control check, smooth t/o, stay close to the pattern and nothing can go wrong... even when it does.

Out of curiousity are there parachute options for RC planes to recover them mostly whole?
