In case you are interested.....I use this description for baby and pet eliminations...if No. 1, I refer to it as Little business.....No. 2 or what you have referred to as blowouts, I started calling Big business. Example: letting my sister's dog out and I reported to her that he did some Big business....it got the point across and I quit gagging us that have delicate constitutions☺️. This works well when describing baby's regularity or irregularties. My grandson had very little business happening until after dinner....then there was some Big business and he was doing much better. That's helped our family stay in a much better and cleaner frame of thought ☺️. Don't know if you've heard this before but it gives another option (saw you turn a little red on TH-cam and wanted to share how I got over that). However, their exchange clearly hit a nerve with you, and just something to think about - often, when we have a strong reaction to something in someone else, upon reflection, we can see it has very little to do with the other person, but triggers an intensity of feeling because it hits too close to home for us. And while it can be uncomfortable, the mature response is to examine our reactions and use them as opportunities for personal growth and to become kinder, more empathic towards others.

I had my 2 children close (15mos) apart by accident..looking back it was a difficult 2-3yrs😮😮. Wouldn't do it again if I had the chance for a do over! BUT everyone is different some might think it was great for themselves. Just saying 😊

My first two were a year apart. I would do it all over again. Several years apart they are always want you to play with them. Two close together they have each other and are more content. Definitely one year is a little close. In our case we had fertility issues, so when we finally had the first one, we decided to try right away for the second. The third one was 5 years later. Should have been two years . Takes too long to give the reasons.

If my two cents count, I'd say, space out the pregnancy 2 years at least. You'll do your body and marriage a favor to let your hormones and body recuperate in between. If not, it can take a toll on you physically, mentally, and affect your family when mom is exhausted. The kids will get along just fine being a couple years apart and there are also benefits of having one a little older. May God guide your family in this matter. Love to you all.
My kids have gaps and they get along great. 3 years is great

My two cents, spacing kids 2 1/2yrs. 3 yr. Is good over all. You will only have one in diapers and they will be more independent, less stress for parents.
Mine are 17 months apart I got pregnant with my second when my first was 8 months. I felt really ready and wanted to have another baby again and It wasn’t as hard as everyone made it seem. Of course there was hard moments but overall it wasn’t that hard. I would say my birth postpartum and breastfeeding was way easier with the second one. And now they are best friends. I think if you feel that your body is ready then you can get pregnant before two years. But of course everyone is so different it’s different for everyone

I homeschool my kids. We go to a homeschool co-op every week. There are over 100 kids from babies through 12th grade seniors. We do academic and fine arts classes. We also get together with the co-op friends for other events or parties frequently. Best thing ever.

Breastfeeding in public gets easier the more you do it. Using a thin cover allows privacy but not too hot for baby. Seriously it becomes second nature after a while. I’ve nursed 4 babies. I was a bit nervous with my first trying to keep everything decent. But honestly after a while you learn how to maneuver by feel and instinct. ❤
Our kids are spaced 2-3 years apart and it is great. That way your toddler is a little more independent and closer to potty training. They play well together and know how to interact with kids of any age because of our range of ages. Give your body time to heal and replenish. Enjoy your time with each little babe! 🤗💕

Please breastfeed in public if you want to. It’s the most natural thing in the world. Ignore the prudes! So much extra work to pump and feed. Save yourself the trouble.
I have 4.5yrs between my kids and they’re best of friends/so close. It’s not the age gap it’s how you parent them, so don’t worry about that.
As a mom of 4 in 5 years. Space them out! It gives you time with each one and gives you time to train them in church, stores, resturant, ect.
Own your new body .The one before the baby was your teen/young women body like a young flower that is not quiet fully bloomed. Now your body is a complete bloomed flower. You have earned it, and it is only weeks out. Be gentle with yourself motherhood is a gift that will hold a big bow on it forever.

Darlings, really surprised your doctor didn't reassure you that a breast fed baby can go a week or more without a BM. There's no need for juice, nature dictates that breast milk is often fully absorbed and has no waste so no BM. If you have gallons of milk and you breast feed exclusively (no bottles) there can be up to 8-10 BMs a day. Believe it or not your supply will not be as good when you pump a lot. Only feeding directly from the breast will stimulate supply to its maximum. Anyway, hope that reassured you, it's very rare for exclusively breast fed babies to get constipated. As far as the bottles, most people can feed discretely wherever they are so don't be embarrassed. Convenience isn't bottles, it's breast lol. Always available, always the right temperature, literally on tap.
If I was a young nursing mother I wouldn't nurse out in public for nothing knowing all the pedophilers that are all over... And you just had the baby your body will go back to normal soon, trust me.. give your body time,😊 You're both amazing parents❤
We have a kia minivan n love it. Just 1 problem in 3 1/2 yrs n 50+ miles put on. It sees alot of highway traveling @ 2000 miles 2-3 times a yr to see family. Never thought i would like a minivan but kia is 1 that is nice to get in the back seat for adults if you need to.
Lol. 2-3 years is not too close. Two years is good. If further apart the older one doesn’t always want the younger one around. This is my experience anyway. Definitely pray!
I am homeschool our 4 kids, they r 15&13,6&1, ☺️I run a coop w 2 other moms n this fall we will have 200 kids, it’s totally possible to socialize n have activities n they can play sports w local school teams too 👍
Y’all know what? ALL first-time parents ( especially You Mom) have to learn things to do with that first baby on your own. Yes- we all may not do things like others BUT it’s so OK!❤. It’s a learning process and you BOTH have amazing Godly families as examples. She’s adorable and the FIRST so don’t be too hard on yourselves. You cannot answer all those questions yet. Just enjoy all this time with your precious Hailey. Each child is a gift from God so making time with EACH one is worth it. Thanks for letting us get a glimpse into your lives. Personally I think that no one should ever tell someone how many kiddos you should have. I had 5 in 6 years and that was perfect for our family. I actually wanted 6-8 but God gave us 5 which was perfect. You two are doing an amazing job thanks for sharing your sweet family with us. God Bless you all ❤

There's a big homeschool community! My children are homeschooled and play sports, apart of clubs and co-ops, and church activities. They also have plenty of friends. Nothing against Christian schools. I am just offering insight that your child can be homeschooled and still have all those things.

I’m with Travis. My first two are 11 months apart (16,15) and it was amazing!! My next is now 10 and then we have a 3 year old. The gaps are sooo hard. The boys always had each other and my girls have always been solo on playing. Definitely close and done. Plus being a younger parent was amazing. So much more energy.

I encouraged my girls to get part-time jobs in high school and college and it was such a great experience for them. They learned so much about responsibility and interactions with different people. The life lessons were invaluable and I think it has helped them in their professional careers.
We did the same with our son. He was the only one of his friends to work a job in high school. It was about 15 hrs a week after school. Now, he gives money /saving advice to all his friends.
I agree with part time work in HS but they will have to pick one sport so they don’t crash & burn.

Not buying the answer about breastfeeding. I nursed for 18 months including in public and nobody saw anything involved. Blankets or nursing covers work well for modesty.

I always said no minivan and we LOVE our Honda Odyssey. We started thinking about #2 around my oldest son's first birthday and they're 22 months apart and they absolutely love each other.

I grew up in (and still live in) your area and was homeschooled as well. There are quite a few Christian homeschool organizations close to you that include sports, arts, socialization, and various academic groups. Just wanted to let you know that you can homeschool in this area.

Minivans have more space than SUVs. We waited to get a minivan until we had 4 kids. It had plenty of space for luggage & leg room in the back seat. We rented a Suburban once and felt cramped.

I love that you don’t let Hailey “cry it out”. I have never been able to do that with my kids, either! Studies show that babies whose needs are met consistently and as soon as possible are much better adjusted emotionally and mentally as they grow up. You both are fantastic parents! 🤍
I couldn't do it either because my son had breath holding spells and would pass out turn blue if he got super upset. Doctors said to try and prevent them to not let him get so upset he cries to that point. So it was pretty easy for him to get what he wanted till he out grew that 😂

I hope you guys homeschool. It keeps a family close, and you can keep God first place. Pray about it. I homeschooled my 2 sons for their entire school years. My son played sports at our local park and with a homeschool football team where he made amazing Christian friends and memories. We gave them the option to go to school for high school, but they didn't want to. They loved homeschooling, as did I. Pray about what is right for your family, but I think homeschooling is best. It makes a family so close. Just look at Katie's family ❣️ It also helps you instill your values into your child, not the school or world's values. It is the best way. God bless you all. You can take them to swimming, music, arts, or wherever... and then there is homeschooling co-op!! My parents homeschooled all five of us, and I never had a issue with having friends!:)
Homeschooling makes for the best sibling bonds too... and we played plenty of sports growing up :)

Parenting adds a new and exciting element to marriage that is so awesome. It's great that you're both young and mature enough to pray about the size of your family and spacing. I think 2 years apart is good for both Mom and the siblings-they'll still be able to go through the same stages of life together. You both have great examples in your parents and that's evident in your own love story...Hailey is so precious! So good to see young, Christian parents enjoying your marriage and baby that God's blessed you with. It's such an encouragement and I pray for my children to have the same blessed and fruitful marriage someday. 😊💖
I am confused why women (people) are so involved in new mother’s lives with breastfeeding. I am a 77 year old mother of 2 and was unable to breastfeed and they didn’t suffer for it. You are both loving parents and need to do your own thing and not have to explain why you do what you do. Hang in there and sending love to you all.
I hope you homeschool your children. They can play all the sports! Just pray about it. My son went to a great Christian school, but my 4 grands are being homeschooled and its inncredible. 😊😊 And your relationship with the Lord is mature..enjoy!❤

I said I'd never own a minivan... and I still don't lol. Buick Enclave for us! It seats up to seven! Has as much room as our friends' minivans and gets better gas mileage even!! Lol. We can pull with it and it has a car rack on top... the back hatch opens automatic and it has a automatic engine starter on our key. It's so comfortable to travel in too!! We just took a trip and spent the night at a rest area and we slept great... and I struggle sleeping in vehicles! The back folds down in half only if needed or all the way and we can haul alot in the back!
3~4 years apart is great as the first child already has their own little life, such as preschool/activities, and then allows precious time with new baby♡...My Daughter and Son are 4.3 years and felt really perfect since she was his "Little Mother" and still bosses him around to this day, lol☆:) Many of our friends had their Sweet Kiddos 2 years apart and later told me they wished had more time to enjoy each one, without so much stress!! Truly such a personal decision, of course, and you both will know together when it is the best time to try again~
