I have two doodles. Put 20!Pennie’s in a soda can and duct tape the opening closed. When Remi jumps up on you, give the can a swift shake. The startle response will make her stay down. My dogs were crazy out of control. A dog trainer came to my yard sale of all things and gave me that tip. Good luck!!
Yes, you can also get about 2 inches of chain like the type they use for swings on a swing set, and sew it inside a small pouch. We have one called “The Zinger” from a dog training franchise called Bark Busters.
I'm a dog trainer... I don't want to sound snippy or like I know best.... but I personally wouldn't recommend this method because you don't want your dog to be afraid of sudden noises or to be a nervous dog... I used a cookie sheet, held it steady and everytime my German Shepherd jumped up he bonked his own head. (Used this method on other pups and it works) It only took one or two days of that and he didn't jump anymore. 💙🐶
It might help to move the dog bed to the room (even in the bed if that's where she usually sleeps), and slowly move it away and then out the door as she gets used to it.

A little hint for Remey to see outside without being on the couch. Pull the couch out some and put a bench under the window that she can lay on and still see outside. And something else, my dog hated that kind of bed, and never knew why.

God led us to and really used Travis singing his song " Big Enough" to help my son as he was going through a hard struggle a couple of years ago in a miraculous way!!! I was so grateful !!! Later one day my brother was having a bad day, and I played him that song and found out at that point that my brother kinda of new Travis's family because they used to come to his church and was pretty close with my brothers Pastor. What a small world when God is involved !!!

Example: teaching "off." It's super easy to use a negative enforcer (a can taped shut with pennies) find a way to show her off, then tell her "yes" at the same time give her tiny bits of soft treats. Your goal is to reward her for doing things correctly, not punishing her for doing things wrong. I really hope that makes sense. (Dog trainer for 25+ yrs.)

Put baby cot on the side where you are going to have it. Then put her bed on the other side of the bed. Give her her own blanket and let her know this her space to sleep. Make it her space to be in your room for her safety and well being. Don’t kick her out of the bedroom or she might feel rejected because of the baby and resent her. Give her her own space that is hers and hers alone! No one else’s!
Have you ever heard of the Big Barker Bed? It is orthopedic and especially made for large dogs. Maybe Remmy (spelling?) would be more inclined to sleep in the other room with a bed that fits her better.

Dear Katie, I saw the video of you and Alyssa! You have such a kind sister, but Please know that not all babies are up every 2 hours at night. Some are big sleepers. Mine were every other baby. 2 were not big sleepers and 2 slept alot! I'm praying you have a nice little good sleeper in Haley for your 1st baby.🙂 Either way, you should have a lot of help. Just remember for 99% of babies they start sleeping most of the night by 8 weeks, as long as you feed them every 3 hours thru the day! You're going to be a Great Mom. God loves you!
I trained 4 dogs using the book The Loved Dog by Tamar Gellar. Her methods are gentle yet firm. Whatever training methods you choose start quickly and stay consistent. You definitely do not want to start all of her training after Hailey is born. My dog hated those round beds. She preferred the thicker rectangular ones. I think it was so she could stretch out more.

Get as much music recording done before baby arrives. Once baby comes you’ll be busy taking care of baby and adjusting to parent life for the first few months!
I don’t want to be one of “those people” but for the pupster I would toss the retractable leash for one. Look up injuries caused by them!! You also have no control with that. For grooming (I’m a groomer) up need a long slicker brush and then a comb to get way down to the skin, and not just brushing top layer. Good luck 🍀
Dogs are only injured by owners who don’t know how to use them. If you can’t educate yourself on how to properly use them then you have no business using them.

You can get a wrist band for nausea, it has pressure points on it. Also try a chiropractor adjustment should help you feel better !

Sweet Remi…she’s so loving! Just a heads up I recently read a story that Nila bones/rawhide bones are not digestible and have the potential to harm doggies. They even said cooked chicken/beef bones weren’t safe. You may want to do some research just to make sure.
