It took a few albums for her to be able to break away from the Disney child star image. This was her most sexual and open album in my opinion. It is also my favorite Britney album.

She came up with MOST of the themes in her album "In the Zone" one of her most iconic albums. She's so much more creative, talented and intelligent than people give her credit for.

I love her, but go watch any of her interviews post-2007 and it’s like a totally different person. She was so bright, expressive, and full of energy here-just having fun & really enjoying herself at work and when doing interviews. Of course, as a fan, I’m familiar with her entire life story and what lead to her becoming the reserved, uncomfortable, and perpetually nervous person she is now, and I *completely* understand and empathize as a person who’s had numerous mental breakdowns. You eventually get to a point where you completely lose sight of that happy & passionate person you once were, so much so that it almost seems like that part of you was a friend you’re no longer in contact with, a distant memory... and the shell of yourself becomes the new normal. Fame really does come at a price.
I would say Kevin federline was the start of hurting Britney he was a massive jerk, then after the breakup and everything she just went on a downward spiral, I hope she can get back onto her feet and have control of her life and be this Britney again who was so alive and full of emotion and energy and passion

She was TWENTY ONE when In The Zone came out? WHAT? I don't know why this surprises me so much. I guess I (I was 8 when Hit Me Baby One More Time came out) always saw her as Britney The Pop Idol and not Britney The Person. Remember everyone this was during a time when she was still constantly being mocked by others, made the butt of jokes, told she sucke and had no talent...the entire world catered* to that narrative too and that is what she was ultimately running from when she had kids with Kevin. Everyone saying how awesome she was well at that time people thought the same but acted like they didn’t because they were petty. And THATS what destroyed her. Jealousy.

I love her, but go watch any of her interviews post-2007 and it’s like a totally different person. She was so bright, expressive, and full of energy here-just having fun & really enjoying herself at work and when doing interviews. Of course, as a fan, I’m familiar with her entire life story and what lead to her becoming the reserved, uncomfortable, and perpetually nervous person she is now, and I *completely* understand and empathize as a person who’s had numerous mental breakdowns. You eventually get to a point where you completely lose sight of that happy & passionate person you once were, so much so that it almost seems like that part of you was a friend you’re no longer in contact with, a distant memory... and the shell of yourself becomes the new normal. Fame really does come at a price.
She even lost the sparkle in her eyes :( she was so full of joy in that time..
It’s not fame, it’s abuse that traumatized her.
I would say Kevin federline was the start of hurting Britney he was a massive jerk, then after the breakup and everything she just went on a downward spiral, I hope she can get back onto her feet and have control of her life and be this Britney again who was so alive and full of emotion and energy and passion

She was TWENTY ONE when In The Zone came out? WHAT? I don't know why this surprises me so much. I guess I (I was 8 when Hit Me Baby One More Time came out) always saw her as Britney The Pop Idol and not Britney The Person. She seemed to have more of a voice here than now. Even with social media where we have instant access to celebrities there's like a disconnect with Britney now.. she's so muted and you can tell she looks around for approval as to what she can and can not do during recent interviews. Everything is too controlled! It's the same thing she said in her first documentary. "Where's the excitement?"
