Thanks for the review and thanks for Jay building it. Question regarding the KYB inserts, I know they weren’t sprung for Ping. But do these inserts work as well as the KYB SSS forks on a yammy? I rode my mates new YZ450 and I could not believe how plush it was. I ride a TE300 for context. So my bike is obviously a lot softer for trails, but I was thinking about getting a motorcross bike. And I like the look of the Gas Gas MX 350, but I was thinking if I didn’t like the air fork I would drop a spring in.
After owning a Yamaha, Husqvarna, and TM Racing, and riding a guy's KTM 450 XC-F with the WP closed-cartridge spring insert kit, I can honestly say they are about the same caliber of performance, although I will give a smidgen of edge to the KYB kits - but that could totally be a bias I have from owning them (-it could totally be because of the valving on the KYB as well??)! But they are pricey, if I remember correctly...
Wish people would ride these bikes on the east coast or in the Appalachian mountains our terrain is completely different
Everything looks great. I would 100% change them fork clamps.
Two stroke version of track and trail 🤔

kyb insert is on par with Kyb SSS. they where made to basically make your WP forks spring like SSS
