I am thinking of getting one, but I can't find any reviews online at all. So far, this video is the closest that I've found.

UPDATED: This bat seems good, if its easier to swing than the 243 maple then ask the company to send you this same version but uncupped. See what happens with that!

This bat sounds similar to a birch bat. Easy to swing and contains quantities from both ash and maple in terms of swing weight, feel off the bat and pop

my friends dad makes wood bats they are super well known in nor-cal some mlb players use his training bat called the kong. its 36” and 60oz or something bit his regular bats are beautiful. he also makes a beech wood bat

it looks like an ash bat but the grains are tighter all around the barrel. dont know a whole lot about wood but from what it looks id guess its basically just a hotter and more durable ash bat

One thing i gotta say, different woods means different turn models. Think of swords and fighting. Can't have 2 handed sword fighting without 2 handed swords, can't have 2 handed swords without steel good enough to make one. These other woods are being put on turn models optimized for maple and ash woods. They won't perform better if they're not given the best scenario, while maple has been optimized for years in this state. Experimentation and time will find the optimized shape of people would only take an interest. Unfortunately, the phase "ain't broke, don't fix" comes to mind as to why progress hasn't been made
High Grade European beech is actually as hard or harder than maple on the janka hardness scale and equal in weight. Its elastic modulus is higher, which means it is stiffer. Likely what you're getting is lower quality wood or wood that's been treated to change its function. For 80 bucks, I'd expect that sort of inconsistency

Idk what year, probably 2017 ish if I had to guess, but the Easton beast X, it’s a one piece alloy, supposed to be just a light swinging bat but once it’s broken it, it is absolute juice. My friends and I compared it in a 32 to a 33 stinger nuke and found it was less forgiving but that the sweet spot was absolutely juiced
