Pulling the windshield out of a 1959 Ford panel truck isn't that tricky. You should be able to use this method on any classic vehicle with a gasketed windshield. (Even a Chevy)
I was a bit daunted by the thought of removing the windscreen from my 1974 Lancia and then I came across this vid. 45 mins later I had the screen out! Thank you so much for posting, much appreciated.
Just my 2c tip - if you leave about a foot of paracord inside - with the knot in "the same place" - you can now use 2 hands to drag the cord along. :-) Easier. Starting at a top corner also makes gravity work with you instead of against you as it does when you start at the bottom...
Dude...... nice. Just got my grandpa 59 f100 4x4. Gasket is in like 50 chunks and rotten. Glass is good tho gonna order gasket from lmc and attempt it! Thanks again!!!
Boy what a boy what a difficult thing trying to find a way to remove my windshield in my 84 f250 but every video I get is for door back window or an older truck I'm wanting for an 84 can't find it what is the proper stuff to use to cut the window out without damaging it piano wire

If the gasket is a 50 year old crusty one, do you just remove the chunks little by little?
Use a flat screw driver from that point
