The country house of Lord Bath is Longleat - Blenheim Palace is the residence of the Dukes of Marlborough. However, for the residents of these country or stately houses it is a full time job = they are heavily taxed, the maintenance is expensive and ongoing. I hope not too many are sold off to overseas investors and remain in the familys hands so we can keep the unique and historical significance of these houses in English hands. Lord Bath was a teddy bear lover and had teddy weekends which were incredibly popular when he was alive.

Power never rests, never dies. It simply moves from one place to the next. Aristocracy is the natural order. In the vain attempt to pursue equality, levying death taxes on the old aristocracy only lead to a transfer of wealth, power and assets from loyal aristocrats to offshore billionaires who had little connection with the country and its past.
