Knebworth Park Entrance Road Construction - Spring 1971
8mm footage shot in Spring 1971 by David Cobbold of the construction of the Knebworth Park Entrance Road from Junction 7 of the A1(M) at Stevenage South. Knebworth Park was unique at that time for having its own entrance off a motorway, which contributed to its success later that decade, and subsequently, as Britain's premiere rock concert venue.

I went there twice in 1978,to see Genesis 24thJune and Zappa/The Tubes 9th September.Then in 1979 to see Led Zeppelin on 11th August. 3 great music festivals with a host of other rock stars.

I went to Knebworth in 1980 to see the Beach Boys in concert. It was great to see Dennis Wilson on drums. Great concert.

Great old home we would love to move our family over and help you look after the wonderful old castle
The country house of Lord Bath is Longleat - Blenheim Palace is the residence of the Dukes of Marlborough. However, for the residents of these country or stately houses it is a full time job = they are heavily taxed, the maintenance is expensive and ongoing. I hope not too many are sold off to overseas investors and remain in the familys hands so we can keep the unique and historical significance of these houses in English hands. Lord Bath was a teddy bear lover and had teddy weekends which were incredibly popular when he was alive.
