I have watched a few or your videos and your method of demonstrating how you build a rig is excellent. The best by far. I have made and used all the rigs you have shown and will be building and using this one on my next session. Thank you.
The loop rig is a great rig and is one of the 3 rigs I always use, as it has such flexibility with the type of fish you can catch with it. Your tutorial is excellent for anyone who is unsure how to make it. Keep up the good work.
@@StarfishSeaFishing I've switched over to using all the Trident Tackle terminal gear about 3 months ago and think ther all excellent (although haven't used the Aero Pulley) . I had the same issues with the Gemini clip, but none with the Trident.
Brilliant video - Thank You! Thanks to your tutorial I have just made up 4 rigs, and I look forward to trying them out on the beach :) I love the improvised bait stop too!
Nice tutorial love the loop rig. You can use small pieces of silicone or neoprene rig tubing instead of crimps (I use six tiny sections). These can then be slid up and down the rig body as necessary to bring the rig to tension when clipped. The other bonus is it doesnt damage your line like a crimp potentially could.
HI PAUL enjoyed the vid as I am a long time angler but just moved up north from the south coast , learning the best local rigs etc now , just a small point I don't mean to be rude but I am pretty sure that the links are called TERMALINKS , and not thermalinks . keep up with the vids I would love to learn some more rigs , and you explain very well . cheers tight lines and full hooks .
Made this rig tonight for the first time, easy to follow the tutorial, thanks again. Possibly the next one I make I’m thinking of adding in a trident hangover to hold the loop in neat for a streamlined cast, do you think that would work?
Looks a fantastic rig, making a big batch of them at the moment just waiting on a delivery for more components. I am guessing you can use this rig for scratching but also with medium sized baits for the better fish.
Just watching over again as I've ordered some of the trident components and I'm going to have a crack at making one later, is there any reason why you don't use pennel rigs at the ends of snoods?
i would stick with single hooks on the loop rig i have another rig making vid up later tonight that covers the up and over rig that suits a pennel style much better. very similar rig but uses one snood line instead of two.
@@StarfishSeaFishing cool mate will keep an eye out for it, I bought some of the hangover kits from trident aswell which are used for up and over rigs, look forward to it
Was going to comment on you video for the rays the other day asking about this rig as it looked quite a complex rig but now I've seen you make it it kind of looks like a complicated 2 hook clipped rig, are there any advantages to this loop rig over the 2 hook clipped?
the one up one down rig gives you the advantage off putting one bait on the sea bed and having one bait up from the bottom. when you are match fishing this rig is the go to rig for most venues when you need a streamlined rig at distance and can add yards to your cast the clipped loop rig is essentially a clipped one up one down rig giving you the best of both baits placed up and down it is like an up and over rig with one bait in the up position also two baits on one rig up your chances of catching a fish or two fish at the same time.

Only 2 rigs i use or have in my rig wallet, Portsmouth loop and pulley pennel. Great tutorial 👌
Agree top rig grate for getting the baits out out.
Great video Paul, and easy to follow. Exactly how I build by up and over rigs, get the spring under tension and then crimp. Can’t go wrong then 👍🏻
cheers mate excellent rig for distance

@@StarfishSeaFishing My fault Paul for not checking the Description, I must up my rig body from 60lb Greased Weasel.

Very good for scratching at distance with small hooks or bigger hooks medium baits a very good all rounder
mistake in this video i called a roto clip an aero pulley opps haha
Also you keep saying "Therma link " it's actually called a TERMA LINK .
Thanks👍👏
