It's been almost 6 yrs that my wife was send to the Lord. Until today I will always visit her at her resting place....but today is the day after visiting then back to my car and was driving away the radio played this wonderfull song..Really miss her so much..my love for her will never faith away..RIP Branda
The loss of my first husband resurfaced and it feels like just yesterday when I was told he was gone. I got through it once I'll get through it again with God by my side❤🎉 God bless you each and every day❤
How? Just how can you thumbs down this song?? I lost my wife in 2014. My son was 12 and my daughter was 7. RIP Erika Patel. We miss you. Please keep being our angel.
This song came out in May of 1991, I lost the love of my life that very next month, June 15th, 27years ago today. It was as though he was speaking.g to me through these lyrics. When our son was married the first ow song these played, after the bride/groom dance was this (without his knowledge of its significance). No one will ever convince me it wasn't from him....NO ONE. To this day it plays at times that only God could ordain. What a blessing and comfort it has been. Thank you Lord. I.think of you, and you are ALWAYS there Richard ❤
I lost my son to a car accident 5 years ago this past October. He was only 21 years old and my only child. This song & video captures the beautiful relationship we had. Thank you for sharing your gift with me. Elaine
I can feel him right now. He says "I love you Mom. I am sorry I left so soon. I did not suffer. My angels took me from the body before any harm to my physical. We will be together again. This separation time will only seem like a blink of an eye. This separation grows our love. Don't worry Mom. I love you." He also mentions "I'm sorry about the car." Very auspicious my being led to first this song/video then your comment. I'm at a very holy location right now. Your son loves you so much he's guided me straight to you. I am at the holy place mourning my legs. What a Spirit your son is. He also said you are together inbetween livrs and future lifetimes. His Spirit IS HUGE. Feel him soooo strongly. Wow. (I was born on The Day Of The Dead, I channel both the living and disembodied. Your son sought me out today to give you this message. It is an Honor. I don't know you, but I love you, too. I am feeling his love for you through me.
Thank you all for your beautiful comments. The Holy Spirit definitely moved me when I worked on this. I've lost many loved ones in recent years and God has always been there to comfort me. I am happy and blessed that I am able to share His love and grace with the world!! DoNNa RPM, you ask why and the answer is that God has a greater purpose for your husband, one that you may not understand in this life. I like to look at it as God needs angels, and He knows that those he takes early are the ones He couldn't wait for. Your husband is doing great things for our Lord. Through the sorrow and the tears, also rejoice in the fact that your husband is in the eternal grace of God and will know suffering no more!!
I think of my acquaintance I lost old Jerry but I think of my cats who are now photos on my wall; Pope Francis consoled a child about losing his dog and he said comforting words saying when you enter heaven your dog will be waiting there for you. I believe in eternal life but through reincarnation and I've always know animals especially if they're close to us have souls too and when my time comes I'll be seeing them alive well and very happy. They've touched me in their own ways. I thank Shiva that all my closest friends are alive well and they think of me as much as I think of them. I'd be devastated if I lose anyone of them as much as they would be devastated if they lose me. My late father told me that funerals are for the living and we must get on with life as a whole. I'm sure Jerry's at peace along with my cats. The one thing I'll remember is that my cats and Jerry meant no harm nor did any harm to anybody. The same to be said for family I've lost over the years; granted we had our respective differences but I still miss everybody and this is where I'm a romantic who remembers things and people I've known and love. Om Nemah Shiviya.
+jhweyler .. Just sent this to my friend as she lost her husband suddenly a couple of weeks ago to a heart-attack .... Thanks so much .. Had me in tears .. Such a beautiful song, and such beautiful words xx
Thanks for this music. I may not agree with the lyrics, but the tone of this song bring back memories that demands my care to those friends in the past. BTW: those who are dead are sleeping in their graves, totally unconscious (Ecclesiastes 9:5). They are not in heaven or in hell, but just right there in their graves; dead, not alive, not walking around, not disembodied spirits, but totally no more. During the time Christ will come, those who are in the graves will hear His voice. The righteous will rise first (1Thess.4.16; John 5.25,28,29; Daniel 12.2), while the wicked will have to wait for 1000 years after the coming of Christ to receive what they deserve (Revelation 20.5, 11-15; John 5.29; Daniel 12.2). Be careful about the teachings of immortality of the soul. A person's immortality is conditional. This will happen during the time Christ will come in the brightness of His glory. As of the moment, the saints are sleeping in their graves, not in heaven, not spirits. In Hebrew language, the word "soul" is NEPHESH = breathing creature, an earthling, a unified whole entity, not a separate intelligence existing apart from the body (Greek idea of Plato, and not a Biblical teaching). The doctrine of soul immortality is the foundation of all false religions or pagans. It is the lie Satan told to Eve "Ye shall not surely die" (Gen.3.4) when God says the very opposite (Gen.2.17). And when both Adam and Eve fell into sin, they could not have immortality. They have to die and return to dust whence they were taken (Gen.3.19, 22-24; Ezek.18.4,20), while the breath of life will return to God who gave it (Eccl.12.7; Ps.104.29). That breath (Hebrew = ruach) is NOT a separate intelligent entity but simply a breath of life that returns to God. God alone is immortal (1Tim.6.16). The soul (person) who sins will die (Ezek.18.4,20). Our immortality is conditional and can be materialized only at His coming. When God created the human being, he was dust, and God breathed into its nostrils the breath of life, and man "BECAME A LIVING SOUL" (dust + God's breath = living being/ dust - God's breath = no being, dead, unconscious, asleep, nothing). We may recall the good deeds of our loved ones, their good works follow them (Revelation 4.13). But the belief that they are now in heaven looking down upon us is wrong. They are not in heaven. They are sleeping in their graves, unconscious and does not know what are happening now. "The dead no know nothing" (Ecclesiastes 9.5, 6). Today, no one is yet in hell. And there is no such thing today as hell. The lake of fire (Revelation 20:15). will happen after the 1000 years of Christ's coming when the wicked dead will be resurrected to receive their reward: annihilation, (NOT "eternal torment;" the Greek word "Aionos" is NOT "eternal" but "perpetuity," "ages", "duration of time."). They cannot be teromented forever for that would mean they are immortal. And god cannot permit sinners to suffer and exist eternally. They will have to endure for a duration of time and then be burned up and consumed "root and branch" (Malachi 4.1-3;Nah.1.9; Obadiah 1:16; Isaiah 66:17; Revelation 21:4). Sin and sinners will cease to be. It is not right to say that our loved ones are now in heaven or in hell because they are in their graves, asleep. And it is not also right to judge that they are already automatically saved. Only God knows who are His true saints. As of the moment we can only treasure their memories, but we cannot pronounce a sentence that they are saved or lost. God alone can say or decide about that. We do not fully discern their hearts. There are good friends but who are actually rotten and Christless at heart, and who do not cherish Christ while they are alive. Some appear good but secretly cherish one sin or bad habit, or a bad attitude or bad trait of character. WE do not yet know who shall be saved at last. That remains to be seen when Christ will arrive in His glory the time when every eye shall see Him coming in the clouds of heaven. We will find out in that day whether our loved ones are included in the saved or not. There will be lots of surprises in heaven. Some whom we expect may not be there, and some who we do not expect will be there. God requires perfection of character. No one can enter God's kingdom who has one spot or stain in their characters, and who do not wear the righteousness of Christ. In order to be saints in heaven, we must first be saints on earth here and now, and have "the faithfulness of Jesus", the mind of Jesus, the spirit of Jesus right now. Jesus came down to die for our sins, not to remove His own Law, but to enforce it more fully and that cross means to things: pardon and power. He pardons us so that we are empowered to overcome, stop sinning now and forever, and live a perfect life despite the imperfect flesh, and to force that imperfect flesh to render such perfect obedience to God's Law. It is in this life that we are to separate sin from us and to train our minds to love purity and holiness, without which no one can see God (Hebrews 12.10,14; Matthew 5.8; 2Peter 1.3-11; Matthew 5:48; Deuteronomy 18:13; Genesis 17:1). The perfect obedience required by God from Christ is also required from us and from all who would be God's saints. That's absolute faithfulness in all things, or else He cannot entrust us with eternal riches (Luke 16:10-12; Matthew 25.21-23), and to walk in the statues of life "without committing iniquity" (Ezekiel 33:14-16). Let us never forget Habakkuk 2:4 "The righteous by his steadfastness/trustworthiness will survive." God's moral requirement from both old and Renewed testament remains the same, and nothing had changed. He had the same laws for us to obey, the same Sabbath commandment, the same health laws that are as imperative as with the rest of His laws (James 2:10-12). Let us ask God that His Laws will be permanently written and fixed in our characters so that we become as perfect as He even in this side of existence. Sinning is a choice, not nature, and it must be overcome as Jesus did (Revelation 3:21).
My mom passed away 17 years ago. Today I am going in for a medical test that causes me a great deal of apprehension. I woke up to this song. As I lay in bed listening, I "feel" it's message- "You are not alone. I'm here, holding your hand." This song, above all others, gives me peace. TY for creating the video and giving it the visual beauty worthy of the message.
beautiful song reminding me of my dearly departed mother, closest friend and well wisher who left me last august 2013 .....She gave me the most love ever and sacrificed her life for me... ma i love you ... and miss you everyday of my life
I think of lost family, friends and pets when I hear this song. I wish the young TH-cam's who review this song would review this golden oldie from my youth. Wow nearly 30 years.
My twin sister died 25 years ago today. One day many years ago when I was at a low point in my life this song came on the radio and changed my life. Thank you for the beautiful video with words and music to share with others!
I lost my father Sept 8th, 2024. He told my mother he was going to "beat this" and fought so hard for seven months. My mother is so lost. They were together 56 years. I don't even know if I will ever get through this. I miss and love you Pop. Life will never be the same. Love your family while you can.
I frequently, feeling heartfelt sympathy, and compassion, have sent this video to those who have lost someone very close to them. However NEVER ever in my most horrible of nightmares would I ever have imagined, that it would be ME who needed this song for the loss of my own husband. Diagnosed with 4th stage cancer, on May 11th, 2013, given one year, and very sadly after a horrific painful 2 1/2 months, on July 26th, 2013, he was gone!! :-( Miss you Ed, more every day.
One of my favorite songs. I appreciate your inserting references to our Lord. For when I first heard this song back in 1991, it was Him Who I thought about.
I Wrote one very very close to this almost completely the same and it was about the lord that's why I put in my song oceans rivers ,because also Jesus left died for our sin to give us life out of his love and he reminds us no matter what or where he will be there .
A friend of mine gave me a copy of the this beautiful song when I lost my only child when he was only 21. I listen to it every year around the time of his birthday and the time he died. Always gives me a good cry. When I listen, I can feel him beside me hugging me. Thank you for it.
Every time I listen to this song, lots of memories come to my mind. Both sad and happy ones lead me to the wonderful future. And I know the never changing truth is my heart for my Lord, who has always shown me the right way to the end of life.
Beautiful song ❤️ just heard this song at a celebration of life for a friend and perfect song! Lost my Mom 8 years ago remembering my mom when that song was playing I miss her so much. I will want that song to be played at my funeral.
jhweyler I can't imagine loosing a father at that young of an age, and yet have the inspiring knowing sense that you have of our all loving heavenly Father, that you have depicted in your video.... And frequently it ...still brings me here.....and I'm once again, filled with hope, and yet... in tears .... Thank you again... and God bless you ...for blessing many ...with this gift you have posted for us... Truly it is a work of art!! {{{{~
I lost my very special Grandson one year age on 4-2-2019. I love him, miss him and have cried every day for him. He was my world. He left us a note and this song says. in one part, what he said at the end of his letter "he'll be watching us from above". I love this song and my dear sweetheart I LOVE YOU FOREVER. I'll be seeing you someday soon xoxoxo
How ironic to come across this video today! My husband of 28 years passed away 9 months ago today from COPD at the age of 57! Our 29th Anniversary would've been on 4-26! He dedicated this song to me when it first came out! RIP my beloved John! You'll be in my heart forever!!
Another great 80s tune .. I just heard this last nite on radio & it immediately put me on a time machine & travelled back to that era in my teens .. My, such meaningful lyrics for a song that will console & bring calmness to ur mind ..
Thank you for sharing such a beautiful song to allow all of us to reflect on those we love and have lost. Those I've lost are deeply missed but I believe they are happy and at peace. For that reason I know I'm ok. My faith is strong. I'm blessed because I'm here sharing life with each of you!!! Remember, you can do anything, overcome any obstacle when you believe in yourself.
One of most epic majestic song by the band escape club ever made....love it so much....great band ....really truly amazing spectular music these guys produce.....
This is a beautiful music video of a very special song. We have used the song on Celebration of Life services for my mother and beloved husband of 43 years. Jesus said He would never leave us and if Jesus is always with us, then our beloved ones that have gone Home to be with the Lord are always with us as well. Just BELIEVE and look around. They are here always.
I want to thank you for this beautiful video. It complements the song very well. I lost my father when I was 14, and my mother in 2010. I will be playing this video on her birthday, March 17. Thank you, again.
Two weeks ago I lost my father in a car accident. I am broken-hearted and devastated. I've been watching this video and listening to the song and cry. Thank you for posting this. May our loved ones rest in peace.
It'll be 3 years this Sunday (2/6) that my mom died and this anniversary is so hard for some reason. I'm so glad that this was one of the songs that was played at her funeral and that I can come here any time to listen to it.
December will make it 7 years you left me all alone... How could you leave me... You were all I had... I miss you so much mummy... And I cry for you every day and every time I listen to this song... One of your favorite songs...
Thank you for the way you made this beautiful video. My dad passed away March 8, 2016. This was one of the songs we chose to play during part of his services. I miss you, Dad....
Today when I heard this song played over the radio, the memories of my mum just tingled in my thoughts. This 21.11.2020 will be 9 years she passed on. Meanwhile I'll also b celebrating my daughter's birthday on 20.11.2020. She turns 2 years old... Such a beautiful inspired song
Great job.......tomorrow will be 21 years since my niece was killed by a drunk driver. She was 19 at the time. This song always makes me think of her, and brings a smile to my face.
In 2008 when I was having problems, I prayed to my dead brother to give me a sign that everything would be okay. I heard this song for the first time in 10 years the next day while at work.
VERY good job. just posted this on my facebook to share with the world. having a hard time today and this song came up on my music while i was grocery shopping so there i was sobbing in the middle of the store, and the tears haven't stopped yet. this was beautiful. thank you.
You cannot see or touch me but I'm standing next to you Your tears can only hurt me, your sadness makes me blue Be brave and show a smiling face, let not your grief show through I love you from a different place Yet I'm standing next to you❤️
I'LL BE THERE by THE ESCAPE CLUB Over mountains Over trees Over oceans Over seas Across the desert I'll be there In a whisper on the wind On the smile of a new friend Just think of me And I'll be there Don't be afraid, oh my love I'll be watching you from above And I'd give all the world tonight To be with you Because I'm on your side And I still care I may have died But I've gone nowhere Just think of me And I'll be there On the edge of a waking dream Over rivers Over streams Through wind and rain I'll be there Across the wide and open sky Thousands of miles I'd fly To be with you I'll be there Don't be afraid, oh my love I'll be watching you from above Then I give all the world tonight To be with you Because I'm on your side And I still care I may have died But I've gone nowhere Just think of me And I'll be there Just think of me And I'll be there In the breath of a wind that sighs Oh, there's no need to cry Just think of me And I'll be there Don't be afraid, oh my love I'll be watching you from above And I'd give all the world tonight To be with you Because I'm on your side And I still care I may have died But I've gone nowhere Just think of me I'll be there Just think of me And I'll be there Just think of me I'll be there

A comforting song that will remain ageless.
Having Jesus and what He did at the Cross for us all as the perspective of this song raises the song to a whole new level!!

When my mom died in 1997, this is the first song to pop in my head.
Shauna, I pray you have good results with your tests today! I will add you to my prayer list!
beautiful song reminding me of my dearly departed mother, closest friend and well wisher who left me last august 2013 .....She gave me the most love ever and sacrificed her life for me... ma i love you ... and miss you everyday of my life
I think of lost family, friends and pets when I hear this song. I wish the young TH-cam's who review this song would review this golden oldie from my youth. Wow nearly 30 years.
Why can't artists today write cool songs like this.
My twin sister died 25 years ago today. One day many years ago when I was at a low point in my life this song came on the radio and changed my life. Thank you for the beautiful video with words and music to share with others!
When did she died? What date?
I lost my twin sister 10 years ago May 5th, 2013 . And this was one of our favorite songs to sing.
I want this song played at my funeral. I believe that no one truly dies as long as they are remembered. So think of me. I'll be there.
My favorite and most beautiful song.
What a beautiful video to go with a song I've listened to 1,000's of times. Thanks for the "Peace" it still brings me..
A friend of mine gave me a copy of the this beautiful song when I lost my only child when he was only 21. I listen to it every year around the time of his birthday and the time he died. Always gives me a good cry. When I listen, I can feel him beside me hugging me.
Thank you for it.
im touch in this song.i'll remember my mother.....she past 2 years ago.i love you Mama!!!
Miss you daddy. Glad I get to see you when I sleep.
This song is very special to this band "The Escape Club" because they had dedicated this song to a friend who lost his spouse...
That is what I want at my funeral, it helps to think they are watching you from above, thank you so much ❤
first time I hear this song
was 30 years ago.
Wonderful wonderful memories.
Thank you. I lost my father when I was 4 years old, so it was easy to put my heart into it!
jhweyler I can't imagine loosing a father at that young of an age, and yet have the inspiring knowing sense that you have of our all loving heavenly Father, that you have depicted in your video....
And frequently it ...still brings me here.....and I'm once again, filled with hope, and yet... in tears ....
Thank you again... and God bless you ...for blessing many ...with this gift you have posted for us...

This song reminds me of my mother
I lost my dad 3 weeks ago. This song gives my heart and soul some peace.

Beautiful video bud. Grew up with the escape club years ago. Brings tears to the eyes....seriously.
Another great 80s tune .. I just heard this last nite on radio & it immediately put me on a time machine & travelled back to that era in my teens .. My, such meaningful lyrics for a song that will console & bring calmness to ur mind ..
It's a lovely song, and the Bible verse at the end only iced the cake.

Lost my best cousin ever Craig Mallinson, love you always 💙💙💙🥰🥰🥰 xxxxx
My brother died 29 years ago this October, we played this at his funeral, still can't listen to it without bawling

I want to thank you for this beautiful video. It complements the song very well. I lost my father when I was 14, and my mother in 2010. I will be playing this video on her birthday, March 17. Thank you, again.
Left me misty eyed :(
Two weeks ago I lost my father in a car accident.
I miss my mom & brother so much.
Great job.......tomorrow will be 21 years since my niece was killed by a drunk driver. She was 19 at the time. This song always makes me think of her, and brings a smile to my face.

You cannot see or touch me but I'm standing next to you
Your tears can only hurt me, your sadness makes me blue
Be brave and show a smiling face, let not your grief show through
I love you from a different place
Yet I'm standing next to you❤️
I still have this cassette single. I bought it when the song first came out. ❤️
In memory of my loved ones who departed this life. 🌻🌷⚘
I'LL BE THERE
by
THE ESCAPE CLUB
Over mountains
Over trees
Over oceans
Over seas
Across the desert
I'll be there
In a whisper on the wind
On the smile of a new friend
Just think of me
And I'll be there
Don't be afraid, oh my love
I'll be watching you from above
And I'd give all the world tonight
To be with you
Because I'm on your side
And I still care
I may have died
But I've gone nowhere
Just think of me
And I'll be there
On the edge of a waking dream
Over rivers
Over streams
Through wind and rain
I'll be there
Across the wide and open sky
Thousands of miles I'd fly
To be with you
I'll be there
Don't be afraid, oh my love
I'll be watching you from above
Then I give all the world tonight
To be with you
Because I'm on your side
And I still care
I may have died
But I've gone nowhere
Just think of me
And I'll be there
Just think of me
And I'll be there
In the breath of a wind that sighs
Oh, there's no need to cry
Just think of me
And I'll be there
Don't be afraid, oh my love
I'll be watching you from above
And I'd give all the world tonight
To be with you
Because I'm on your side
And I still care
I may have died
But I've gone nowhere
Just think of me
I'll be there
Just think of me
And I'll be there
Just think of me
I'll be there
