New Toyota Etios Liva gets an updated look outside and more changes inside. Previous version lacked an interesting cabin, but happily this new one is interesting to spend time in. It now is a practical cabin and has a decent set of features as well.

like the review. very honest. my etios liva gd crossed 1 lakh in 4 years . rock solid . we drove from Kanyakumari to leh , Rann to Bhutan and this is a brilliant machine. only drawback interior feels like a cab old gen and looks very okayish. but the performance on highway or the rustic roads of uttaranchal or no roads in ladakh is fab . if you like to drive then this is the fill it forget it car.

A perfect car for a family of 4 to 5 people and very durable engine with performance and mileage . Mobody likes it but it is the safest car in the segment but with a few less feature but some are extraordinary like big cooled glove box well shaped boot . Anybody want it with more rich features install accessories in it

Hi. Nice review. You have covered most of the items, But it would be great if you have mentioned the safety details of Etios twins, I mean about the NCAP ratings and not about just detailing the no. of airbags and ABS. Most of our reviewers are not mentioning this, let's create awareness about safety among consumers, so that the car companies like Maruti or Hyundai will not take Indian customers for granted.Cost increase to offer a safer car can be better justified than adding sophisticated features. These Etios twins may look dull and cheap but they are structurally rigid and may save life of people on a ill-fated day. Most Indian reviewers just mention the car has airbag and ABS and that s it about safety. Airbags may not save the driver if the A-Pillar collapses.

Can you advise me regarding purchase of a new etios liva petrol?
      1. long-term reliability
      2. engine power at low and high rpm
3 noise and vibration level in cabin
4.mileage , after sales service and spare parts prices
      5. most value for money variant.

shaktidev mishra for ur all above 4 questions liva has great answers to put you inn...for ur 5th question...it has 3 variants G,V,VX where as D badge comes at end for diesel versions...They have minor price difference betwen each variants ..just 10k..so,it is better to go with topend trim of diesel or petrol VX-PETROL
      VXD-DIESEL...

took the delivery on 21 may 2017. The car is good but the dealer Galaxy Toyota is a bunch of liars, cheats and frauds. avoid galaxy toyota at any cost. booked a GX model but the invoice shows GF variant which is no where on there website. gave me a brochure which stated that 2 din audio system is included but it wasn't there. later said that it was a printing error.

  • @muhammedsajid3329
    @muhammedsajid3329 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

Ashish you covered everything but missed one major thing this upgrade has to offer.
    guess wht ?
ITS THE MUCH NEEDED LIGHTER CLUTCH BUDDY!!
I own a liva 2013 and only liva diesel owners know how hard it is to run it in the city.
then when I saw that new facelifted version I read that Gd /Vd has a spring based lighter clutch now.
This is no doubt a well rounded package but since its launch, but with the lighter clutch its sure to encourage more buyers to consider it.
If you review the ETIOS platinum I mean the boot version next, Get a diesel one and talk about the lighter clutch 1st.
The most most important thing that has kept people away from ETIOS so far apart from looks of course.

I too have similar requirements like you. As far as my experience goes, petrol is more economical for long term use. As far as reliability is concerned, there is no one near toyota in India. You may miss few features but drive ability and reliability is maximum. Coming from a chevy spark , I have no issue with the centrally located instrument cluster. A bit undecided between dual tone liva vx & etios cross G ( except steering control of music, the cross G has all other specs as liva vx but is around 20k more costly)

baleno and liva are on entirely different segment sir. baleno is a lot roomy car... so is jazz and elite i20... all three belongs to premium hatch. standing roughly around 3.99m in length. where as swift, etios liva, grandi10, figo stands at 3.85m. so u roughly get about 10cm more on space.
