I bought it because it is the SHORTEST car I could find officially sold in Ontario, Canada. I have a short driway.
I've had the pleasure of driving a range of performance vehicles, 2011 VW Golf GTI, 2011 Camaro SS, 2012 Mustang GT, 2016 BMW M4, 2018 BMW 540i, 2019 Ford Fiesta ST, 2020/2021 Mazda Miata, and a 2024 Tesla Model 3 Performance. Among them, I recently test-drove the Corolla XSE, it proved to be a commendable performance hatchback, even when compared to the likes of the GTI and Fiesta ST. While it may not match their straight-line speed, I found immense joy in driving it. Besides, its reliability surpasses that of both competitors as being a Toyota. This prompted us to acquire one for my mother-in-law, especially after her previous car was totaled by an object on the highway due to poor controllability. Having tested the Corolla LE, XE, and XSE variants, I view the XSE Hatchback not just as an upgrade from the LE, but rather as a lower-power version of the GR Corolla. The driving experience it offers is akin to the difference between a Nissan Sentra and a Ford Fiesta ST. It may be meaningless to compare it with LE. It shows that people don't recognize the value of this type of vehicle. In that case, a basic trim Camry does seem to be a better option for this type of people or driving style.
Thanks for tuning in and the feedback. Much appreciated.
First off I would OPT OUT OF THOSE EXTRAS and buy nice rubber matts for WAAAY cheaper. Then avoid push button start especially when more cars are getting stolen with the key fob and you cannot roll down one window at a time when the car is off like you can with a key. The radio will be very HARD to toggle while driving with ONE VOLUME KNOB.
All in all so much unnecessary hype for some extra money. I will buy the plain Jane Corolla hatchback
I need the car, I've been looking everywhere for one. I can honestly say I'm bad with money management and so far I've managed to save up $1,526 and when I had went to Toyota Bennett they asked me for $8,000. So that is my goal for the down payment. I need this vehicle. I love it
I wish you the best! Remember needs vs wants. That starbuck's coffee is a "want." Some people confuse the two.
Down payment? Just stick with your current car and save the whole enchilada. Pay it off in one shot. Or skip the dealership and go to Hertz or enterprise car sales for a NO HAGGLE PRICE.
Bennett toyota in Allentown PA? If so stay away!

Hahahah dreaming
always say you are looking at 0 down payment. no way you have to put 8k for this.
The LE or SE are the sweet spots. I would not purchase an XSE might as well get a Camry at that price
You can't get a Camry at the price of a Corolla XSE with all the X-tra features. Things like blind spot monitoring and the audio system upgrade will up the price of the standard Camery SE to more than the Corolla XSE.
all the accessories are running up bill to benefit dealer. NO DEAL!
Nice vehicle..prefer the sedan SE..these much be rather scarce..can't recall seeing one on the road in my area.nice vehicle..rear 19:33 knee room appears tighter than the sedan. I find the SE sedan to be very sharp looking from a rear view..nice deck spoiler, dual outlet exhaust, etc. I would save my money and opt for sedan. You provoke your listeners to examine the cost factors and utility factors, etc. Sign of a good job .keep it up!
The Toyota dealerships in central FL need to increase their inventory with these smaller cars.
American dealerships prefer selling large SUVs with larger profit margins
sales pitch, no review
The car has worse wind noise and tire noise than the Niro.
but he said very nice and quiet?
Oddly, the xse sedan doesn't get lumbar, but the Corolla Cross and Corolla Hatchback xse gets lumbar. I shopped all three yesterday and found that an interesting deletion.
The red badging looks better. And the black bumper cover breaks up the lines of the rear looks horrible! The JBL system is very over rated. The seats and the overall looks are good. Toyota make this a true 200hp.
I in between the Corolla hb XSE and the Mazda 3 hb carbon edition. Only two things leaning me towards Mazda, the red interior and the 190hp. I dont need the corolla to be more then 190hp, since I have a faster car in the garage. But still want my daily driver to have a bit of speed.
I would have wished that you pulled out on the freeway, so I could compare the acceleration.
Hello, To your knowledge, does the SE trim come prewired for fog lights?
Hatchback offers LESS cargo space because the entire car is shorter.
I can’t justify paying almost 30k for this when I can get the Kia Forte GT with the 1.6T and with a DCT trans. This seems like it should be more of a comp to a forte GT Line. Do do like the nightshade edition and Toyotas styling better then the Kia forte.
I wish Kia would get rid of the red accents on GT trim. It looks hideous.
Kia is a cheap car
This gen Corolla has among the most unattractive & off-putting shaped front headlights on the road.
