I’m torn between indigo and overdyed in this cut. Will be getting a super black down the line too. I tend to go for darker colours so leaning towards the OD.
I bought a pair of 21oz 633s second-hand and although they hadn't faded, I didn't get that feeling of really breaking them in from day 1 so I bought a pair of 25oz 888s. Those things feel like a suit of armor for the first 48 hours. And after 25 days, they're finally starting to feel like a second skin. You really have to wrestle with these things to get them to feel comfortable. And the fact that my butt doesn't pop out like Kim K when I bend over is a huge plus!
Iron Heart's 21oz denim is amazing. Yes, it's technically a heavy weight denim, but it's not made with a heavy gauge yarn, it breathes incredibly well, and the fabric doesn't feel heavy when wearing it after it's broken in. The 888 though, I can't wear them. They're a high rise cut and the tag size 34 that I tried had a 12" plus front rise and a 16" plus rear rise and it looked awful on me. I don't have a long enough torso or near enough ass for that. The 666, 777, and 634 though are all a pure pleasure to wear, especially in the 21oz denim.
its all stuff that is brought up daily .. i just need to get a little better at thinking about these for a little bit before just jumping in and filming it hah
Hi TJ, I find this video super helpful. I just would have one question. I´m currently wearing a 666 in W34 and I still have some room on the waist but it´s really tight on the thigh. I really would like to move to the 888 cut but my question is now do I move one waist size down or stay with W34? Any recommendations are welcome. Cheers, Chris
All the way from NYC USA TJ your F*****G reviews are raw uncut straight to the point and very easy to understand love your reviews bro but I’m pissed off at you 😆‼️‼️ I hop on the website last night and the Wesco BootsX the shop Mo Horse engineer harness boots are sold out… Keep doing your thing bro much Love

I live a very athletic lifestyle year-round and the 888 cut is a god send - ample room up top but still a decent taper. Have them in both 14 and 21oz, 21 is tough in the summer tbh
yea same as my body type ... in the summer when shorts and a t shirt are hot , seems like a given that any jeans especially 21 oz will be hot. that said I wear mine pretty much year round when riding the moto.
Hi, late to the party but I just got a pair of 634s and love that my thicker-than-average calves have space. How do thr 888s compare to the 634s in that regard? Cheers!
888s is sanforized so its already pre shrunk fabric.. doing a soak to get out some of the initial starch isn't a bad idea but its up to you. wear the shit out of em
I started getting into selvage jeans two weeks ago and I’m already up to 9 pair. I can’t decide which pair to wear now but I enjoy the dilemma. Thanks.
I just bought some 777s in the 25oz. They're crazy tight on the thighs to where I can't even pull them up, the waist is my size but still very tight. Thinking I need the 888s. Do I get my waist size or size up so they will shrink?
777 is a super slim. I cant say without knowing a lot more. but have you measured your jeans and compared it to a chart ? depending on what jeans you wear the tag size may not really reflect the actual size.
Stretch will depend on how you wear and buy them , if they have pressure on them , you wear them low or when you sit you sag them down around where your hips spread they do . Mine don’t stretch much since I don’t do any of those things . But to fit and they stay that way .
I wear the two of them, the 888 and 1955 are pretty similar just the 1955 isnt as taper. id say about 80% of the photos on our instagram is a split between 888s and 1955s ,
Roger that. I’ve got the 634s and 888s. Probably sized up too much on the 634s and they are a little baggy/blocky. Looking at maybe adding the 1955s at some point. Love the 888s. Love the video. Thank you!
@@remmasangcay5348 just get some classic american styles , boots , blue jeans and some good old t shirts . find what you dig and buy it, thats the best bet
we've carried the 25 a bit , but have stoped due to it breaking my hemming machine too often, 25 is def heavier but I've felt that 21 oz is the heaviest i like to go and still be wearable right out of the gate
Meh disagree. While i don't think you should buy jeans that are too small for you, you should buy what fits. But the very nature of thick jeans means they will be tight where it matters. The waist will stretch out over time and then settle into perfection. There's no pair of ironheart jeans that doesn't require some stretching unless you purposefully buy jeans that are TOO big and need a belt. I have skeleton thighs so i can't wear the 888 without them looking baggy af
you can disagree and do whatever you would like to do. Ive had these jeans since the inception of the 888 and since the start of the 1955 ..(depending on how you wear your jeans) a higher doesn't necessarily stretch out as much as a lower rise since when you sit your aren't sitting around the waist band. But again , you do whatever you would like to do.. if buying jeans with an uncomfortable waist is your jam .. do your thing.
"I'm too old to fight with my clothing until it fits". That is wisdom right there
Cannot describe how happy I am that I found this cut. Will sing their praise forever. Can’t say how many slim jeans I’ve blown out..
excellent video!!!!! love denim!!!!!

Sounds perfect for me, I go for high rise everytime, 17inch back rise fits me great.
You touched on a bunch of real life topics

You are spot on with your recommendation on the 888s. Just got my pair today and they fit perfectly.
Nice jacket man. What brand is it?

That jacket is 🔥 !
I’m looking at my first pair of raw denim jeans so I go for 888 14oz or 21oz?
I love that you answer the phone
What would your fav be? 1955 or 888?

888’s are amazing for sure. So is the 633S 18oz.
Hi, late to the party but I just got a pair of 634s and love that my thicker-than-average calves have space. How do thr 888s compare to the 634s in that regard? Cheers!
more taper and higher rise , when you compare the two charts you'll see the differences
Great video as always, a question, what Belt are you wearing?, looks awesome!
Cool jeans were r thay made
Ppl keep telling me that the 888-21oz don’t get high contrast fades like others is this true?
What's the jacket you have on very coool
Am I supposed to soak these when I get them or just wear? Thanks for all the videos, keep em coming!
888s is sanforized so its already pre shrunk fabric.. doing a soak to get out some of the initial starch isn't a bad idea but its up to you. wear the shit out of em
Cool jacket
Man I need that jacket you are wearing in my life. do you know of any similar ones available?
not anymore , this is an old dog from Ironheart. maybe they will do a re release someday
I like your common sense when it comes to sizing
I think that telemarketer wanted a pair of sitting all day jeans.
Hola Hola amigazo!!! , envíos a Santiago, Chile? Gracias
So what's the benefit to getting your jeans snug or tight?
I don't think there is much of a benefit , would all just be personal pref. a benefit of not tight jeans would be being able to move
What size in the 888 do you wear?
What jacket is that?
Denim one is the 21oz N1 the leather one in the set is the Tom shirt
Words of wisdom about fit here. Buy something that fits and buy it forever. If you burn through a pair every two years, you’re doing something wrong
I started getting into selvage jeans two weeks ago and I’m already up to 9 pair.
I can’t decide which pair to wear now but I enjoy the dilemma. Thanks.
Slow ya roll dawg ! haha .. thats the beauty of the good denim, you don't need to buy so many pairs. enjoy the slow ride
You need to wear them man. You're only going to get fades if you commit to them.
I wear a size 33 waist Levis 511, what size Iron heart 666 should I go for?
No idea. measure your 511 and then compare them to a chart , there another video on my page that talks about that , its the understanding rise video .
what jacket are you wearing?
the old 21oz N1
I just bought some 777s in the 25oz. They're crazy tight on the thighs to where I can't even pull them up, the waist is my size but still very tight. Thinking I need the 888s. Do I get my waist size or size up so they will shrink?
777 is a super slim. I cant say without knowing a lot more. but have you measured your jeans and compared it to a chart ? depending on what jeans you wear the tag size may not really reflect the actual size.
I buy jeans a size larger and wear a belt, so it doesn't hurt my stomach
Which N-1 deck jacket is that?
its the old 21oz denim ironheart one
Do they stretch over time? If yes then how much ?
Stretch will depend on how you wear and buy them , if they have pressure on them , you wear them low or when you sit you sag them down around where your hips spread they do . Mine don’t stretch much since I don’t do any of those things . But to fit and they stay that way .
Agreed and great points all the way 👍🏻
Thanks For the comment homie , glad I can help
Where’s that jacket from?
www.theshopvancouver.com
I need a relaxed fit: 888 or 634?
1955 , 634 is a little low for me personally
I’m 5/8 so low wouldn’t work well. Make me look stubby I would assume. 888 would be a better option for short person?
Could you do a vid on the ih-1955 fit?
I will be doing that for sure . love the 1955
a.p.c. caught hella strays in this video LMAO 🤣 😂
How would you compare the 1955 cut to the 888?

If you're a stinky cat , wash your jeans..
Prise ffs 😊
Dude said I wash my jeans once pr twice a year. You smell bro. 😂
No not really. If they ever start to smell I just wash them.
