@@vnctmrn I first started wearing Wranglers when we were burning the stubble on the farm. Mainly because ember's did not scorch the denim and the ends never seemed to catch alight. I was amazed when he just put the jacket on again and carried on as if nothing had happened. Wranglers are actually made as work jeans. LOL
Absolutely an underrated jean. They will fade beautifully if you wear them hard and let them fade in the sun outside.. They are incredibly sturdy and can take a beating . 😊Best professional Wrangler review on TH-cam. I have 2 blue pairs and just ordered the 13 MWZ an hour ago in black. Have never washed new jeans in the first 30 days. My brother has been a Wrangler customer for over 50 years and set in stone. I purchased 1st pair 5-6 years ago and they are my daily favorites. My Levi jeans sit in a box unused for the past 5-6 years. From 1st day l have found Wrangler to be higher quantity and consistent in their size chart. I agree with you 97%.😊
I prefer the fit of the 47mwz (the “modern fit” cowboy cut) in rigid as the denim is slightly darker blue and whiskers in a more distinctive fashion. Also, the waist fit (higher in back) and deeper front pocket openings (easier to get hands in) make it my personal perfect fit. Also between $33-40 all day every day.
I got a shadow black M-159 on Amazon for $45. The quality and fit for the price are so so good. Heavy denim, solid stitching and hardware, and the higher cut goes really well with high rise jeans. Definitely glad I bought this and not a $300 Japanese type 3

I found a pair of old Wrangler 13MWZ at my local thrift and it’s a perfect fit and looks great with my boots. My only complaint are the small pockets but I can live with that. I also admire Wrangler denim jackets and will get one when it cools down.
Cool! I haven't found the pockets to be too small, perhaps cuz I didn't size them tight? I don't know. Some of this might be because many of us in the modern day have huge phones etc hahaha

Very cool video ! I have to agree with you 200% on the 13MWZ Wrangler jeans. Very well made and very comfortable to boot. I found two pairs at a yard sale that looked like they haven't been worn or if they were just a couple of times. I paid $2.00 a pair for each of them. I knew I had something special. The inside tag says made in Mexico of USA cotton denim. I am very happy with them. I wish they were all the way made in the USA but the material is. I used to have a Wrangler denim blue jean jacket about 53 years ago ( I am showing my age LOL) and loved it. I always had good comments made about it. Hey thank you again for this cool video. Take care and be well my friend.
I used to buy Levi's jeans, however, they fall apart way too fast. I do a lot of physical farm-style work and Wrangler 13 MWZs not only hold up, they're almost indestructible. I recently retired a pair that started tearing at the bottoms of the front pockets (the jean only, because I always carry knives, a pen, keys). I live in Texas, and buy mine at the local Academy Sports for $25. There are plenty of real cowboys around here and I'm not trying to look like one of them - I simply remove the rubber brand and the small black label above the right rear pocket. To break them in, I wear them into the sower, make some squat movements, get my butt to work. Mine have to be washed often, because of all the hard use. Some friends and I have a saying, "wear the paint off it," which means new gear is fluff unless you actually use and sometimes abuse it!
I pretty much wear only wranglers 13mwz’s if I step out in jeans. What I like to do is buy them four inches longer at the inseam and then wear them with big cuffs until they lose that stiffness and then I hem them down. The only problem I’ve had was inconsistencies with sizing which is probably due to how mass-produced they are. I typically wear 34-35 but have to go up to 36 with wranglers so that they fit right after they shrink in the wash (and that’s even after a cold cycle and line drying them). Informative video, though. You cemented my belief that I wear the right brand for myself lol
Great points and cool to hear about your experiences! I did notice that like 1/10 pairs I tried at the store had variance in size or color etc - as you said, probably a function of the fact that they're mass produced....But yeah, fantastic jean, severely underrated outside the western/cowboy community. I think these rigid Wranglers completely blow many other brands out of the water, under the $300 mark.
These are alot of fun to get into Raw denim. And it got me on a mission to find a pair of White Cone raw non selvedge. The last year they were produced in america. Theres alot of interesting and historical raw denim thats just not selvedge available....
I think they look best worn longer, so they break at the shoe, uncuffed. The cut, snug around the rear, the straight leg and the boot cut just hang so well, especially the way they kind of break at at the knee, when left long enough. I have similarly cut Lee 101s and LVC Levi's and both look great cuffed, or uncuffed, but the MWZ13 just looks so much better than both when left a bit long, if you have an athletic lower body. I wear mine a bit more snug than you do, extremely flattering and just as much range of motion due to the way the upper leg is cut. The denim is really hard wearing, I think possibly the reason other companies didn't copy them is because they are a bit less flexible and easy wearing due to the rigidity of the fabric.
This is all really great info....I actually do have 2 other pairs of Wranglers I wear without a cuff, and you're right, it's a great look. I just like to switch it up with a cuff sometimes haha...I could wear the next size down and have a snugger fit (which is the true classic way to wear them), but I've been leaning toward roomier fits/aesthetics recently. I'm sure I'll make it back to the classic fit some day.
@@thevintagefuture6567 It's all going baggy as at the moment, that's for sure. They look great on you as is, but you wouldn'tnecessarily clock they were Wranglers if you didn't see the tag. I grew up in Montreal in the 60s/70s,, no one wore Wranglers, it was all Lees then Levi's as well. It's nice to have the variety.
Round House is another good one if you’re not trying to be fancy. I have the rigid 5 pocket #147. The fit and style is quite unique the way it fits over boots without being western style. Also, relaxed fit without being too relaxed.
This is a very well done video and covers a vast amount of information. Make no mistake - these are byfar and away dollar for dollar the best jeans in the world.
i cut the patches, id leave them on when they are the old leather ones but cowboy or not the plastic rectangle is ugly. (i cut any ugly tag on clothes tbh) never cut the W off of them but may try that for the heck of it. wonderfull jeans wonderfull value and glad they are getting some recognition in the neo-hipst- I mean vintage style scene.
neo-hipst hahaha nice I like it....And yeah, they need more love, so I'm trying to spotlight them a bit....I searched YT, and there's pathetically little about the Wrangler 13MWZ
I’ve been a big 501 STF fan but ever since I saw the Magnificent Seven I’ve wanted that cowboy cut. I know that some of the actors are wearing Levi’s, but the rise you get in today’s STFs isn’t as high as those older models. I gotta give the Wranglers a try! Thanks for taking the time to film and edit this review! Definitely helpful. Subscribed! Let me know if you can find a decent pair of chinos that have a higher rise than the norm, are 100% cotton, and not super baggy (I.e Steve McQueen chinos). I’ve been hitting a dead end. Everything has stretch and I hate it lol.
Magnificent Seven is GREAT!! A classic. For chinos, what leg opening are you looking for? The Buzz Rickson Original Spec chinos might be right up your alley. I love mine. Here is my review of them and the 1945 version. Thanks David. I had considered these before but did not know much about them. Its great to know the history and have an affordable alternative that is well designed.
Glad the video helps! I looked on TH-cam and couldn't find a clear history video on Wrangler. Wrangler deserves it, so I wanted to be sure to include that history in the video. I hope to do the same thing for Lee at some point.
Great video think I’ll pick some up what was your washing process from the pre and after taking the patch off? Looks like the colour stayed nice and dark
Glad you enjoyed the video! I simply cut off the patch and arcuates before wearing or washing, then I did a delicate cold wash inside out and air dried in my house out of the sun.
I have three pair naked and famous, a pair of PBJs, a pair of Okayama, and a pair of the black Wrangler Western $30 pair from a western store and besides my PBJs, my wranglers are by far my favorite pair of jeans.
5 belt loops the classic that levis 501 used and most of these brands are reproduction or at least trying to keep as much of the 501 look as possible. i think the wranglers rodeo marketing meant that they had to add extra belt loops as it used for doing more movement so pants don't come down in a ny area.
That's one thing I love to see, 7 belt loops. Every pair of jeans from Ariat and Wrangler have 7 belt loops. I will give you a little bit of pushback on one part of your review. You kinda downplay how restrictive the 13wmz is. I can do the splits in my Ariat due to the lower cut and the stretch fabric. In my wranglers, not even close. If you try to high kick in them, one leg will pull the the other leg forward. This can cause a hilarious fall.
I have a pair of Wrangler 13mwz and just bought a pair of the 936den great jeans I can appreciate people's opinions but I like the patch and the stitching to me that those are a couple of the things that make the jeans along with the heavy weight fabric and the iconic wrangler rivets.
Another great video david, i wish there were more options for jeans with alot of these characteristics, like a nice selvedge denim. High backpockets, smooth rivets on the back pocket with a classic straight fit, any suggestions?
not really any suggestions unfortunately....the closest is Mister Freedom, but they are similar only in certain aesthetic features. My guess is that Wrangler hasn't been copied by heritage brands because they're hard to improve on and already have a cult following for their modern product.
I haven't tried the 47MWZ. I hear great things about it. What's good is, it should be relatively easy and inexpensive to try both the 13 and 47 and return whichever one you don't prefer the fit of....As for me, I like my 13s and can't think of much I would improve about them.
I laugh when I think about those designer jeans people are paying hundreds of dollars for and NEVER do anything in that jeans were made for in the first place. So funny. The 13MWZ..actually the whole Wrangler Cowboy Cut line of jeans is keeping it real.
have a bit of a weird fit. i’m a pretty slender guy and usually get 31 or 30 waist in other jeans and they are perfect fit… got a pair of 31w in the wrangler cowboy cut and the waist is verging on tight while the legs are a bit loose, so much so that it’s a bit hard to put hands in front pockets. that being said i love the look of them and the leather patch is the best part.
you should do a video on wrangler's rustler line too. almost identical cuts to the cowboy cut line, with simplified details like bar tacks instead of rivets. in a 15oz right hand twill denim. comes in raw, 1 wash, and 1 wash sulfur dyed black. 14 dollars. raw is walmart online exclusive. i suspect the rustler fabric comes from the same mill as 13mwz (mt vernon mills, usa grown cotton) but i have no confirmation. the quality is quite similar and its one of the few mills that can make that price point though! fun fact today's 13mwz use what is effectively the same fabric lee used in the 1970's. you're getting what is almost a repro jean for 30 bucks because of how little it has changed over time. crazy. also fyi some rustlers have 7 belt loops and a coin pocket like 13mwz and some have neither. some walmarts carry a cheapened version but some carry the normal ones.
Good call. I agree. I’ve got some vintage Rustler in rotation. They’ve got 7 belt loops and are raw 14.75oz denim. Construction is identical to Wrangler Cowboy Cut, minus rivets and watch pocket. Rustler is all right-hand-twill. Wrangler Cowboy Cut and Rustler are my choice.
Levis lost me years ago when they started making the pockets shallower and went from 7 belt loops to 5. I then went to Dickies, just left hem since they no longer offer raw indigo. Recently landed at these Wranglers.
Fantastic video. The one thing that drives me crazy about every Wrangler review is that no one ever models them with sneakers on. I just wish someone would throw on a pair of chuck taylors, or adidas all stars or something!
Been wearing them with sneakers since 1980-prior to that I wore them with cowboy boots since 1970 because I used to rodeo back then. I continued like I mentioned with sneakers because Wrangler was about the only jean in 70’s 80’s then I could find with a 30” waist and 36” length , I need very long length
In some cases, I believe you can make this comparison. This is one of those cases IMHO, due to the fact that Wrangler is one of the three big heritage USA brands (Lee, Wrangler, Levi) but gets relatively little love as compared to King Levi. Also, these Wranglers are not regular denim; they are right up there in quality with many heritage raw denim brands, just less expensive.....But you're right, in most cases it's ridiculous to compare Japanese raw denim to regular denim.
I love wrangler's cut, and its back pocket position, however the arcuate and the leather patch position are not to my liking, if I buy one I will unstitch both like how you did on yours
Hi there just wondering do you have to go true to size I'm a 34 in the waist or go up to 36 inch., if it shrinks ,length is s always too much As I'm 5"7'
my waist measures 33", and I wear these in the size 32. On the website, sometimes you can order a 29" inseam. Or you could just get them hemmed shorter at a local tailor, usually for like $20.
I have three pairs of selvedge jeans (two Levi's and a pair of Frame) and 11 pairs of various wrangler Cowboy Cut jeans. The 13s are great for work. There's a lot of room up top. When I dress casually just to do whatever I usually grab the 36 or 47. They're tighter in the seat but have a better look, in my opinion. I dig vintage stuff but I also dig comfort. But what do I know? I just recently got into heritage style boots. My opinion might not qualify as legit.
Def find some American White Cone and do a video on it. When I read the story of how they killed that factory I cried. The stories of the people and how they were abused, when theres tons of capital vultures who could have saved it. Heartbreaking...
I love this idea! I got into the raw denim hobby shortly before Cone died, and I do happen to have a pair of Ooe jeans made from deadstock unsanforized White Cone. I will definitely do a review of those and talk about Cone a bit. Thanks for the input!

So good to hear someone else support the seven belt loop idea. I remember wearing some Wranglers for the first time, putting on my belt, and thinking why is this not industry standard?
It was an experiment to show that people who don't like Wrangler can wear Wrangler without it looking like they're wearing Wrangler. Also, the plastic patch is kind of annoying and cheap feeling. That said, I don't always remove the patch etc for my Wrangler jeans, I just did it for this video.
Hello. The best jeans are Wrangler. Wrangler 13mwz cowboy cut original fit and Wrangler 936 den rigid slim fit - the best jeans in the world! Wrangler 74145pw cowboy cut original jacket is the best jacket! Good luck! Greetings from Russia!
I did take many of them down, cleaning up the channel from stuff that I felt was outdated or no longer represents my opinion. Is there a particular one you miss?
@ yes few that i wanted to review, but now it is even more interesting on the switch you are going through. I missed some of the viberg and 2020 last stuff and Grant Stone.
Today, I think it's more the zippers used on pants are so cheap and bad that we're instinctively seeing button up fly as a mark of having better quality.
This is a really good point, well said....I just think, most people outside this heritage hobby immediately lose interest if there are buttons. Most people these days would prefer a cheap zipper to buttons. Almost every friend I have tried to get interested in raw denim loses interest at the sight of a button fly.
@@thevintagefuture6567 honestly, I don't blame them. You will never demand quality from the products you use until you find out (mostly the hard way) the level of quality you should demand from what you use. I had similar experiences with people who are happy their shoes and clothes are wearing out fast because it means they get to go shopping guilt free.
hahaha good question! It's not everyone's style. I've worn western wear for 20+ years, but I understand that it's not everyone's preference. So I figured maybe I could win some of them over with my "cut off the patch" spiel.
As a gay dude, dont think i was the original target audience for cowboy jeans but those pockets and high rise fit, makes any mans rear end look 10x better lol
@thevintagefuture6567 I got a pair that's too big on me (33w32L) if you know anyone who can use them I'll ship them to whoever wants them, I'm in SoCal
I dont buy mall jeans anymore but I gotta talk about my favorite superficial feature of wranglers compared to levis, the back pockets are more flattering on your ass. Levis back pockets make your butt look saggy and sad, wranglers are positioned higher up near the yoke giving a fuller impression. Maybe there are harder to use for some people, but style aint always easy.
So well said - it's true, Wrangler has a better look. Also contributing to this is the fact that the back pockets are ever so slightly smaller than on Levi jeans, which offers better aesthetic proportions cuz they don't dominate the entire back panel - room to breathe.
another point to add is if you lay a pair of these and dickies 874 or levi's 501 down flat you'll see that the legs go straighter down. these have a man spread cut the same as carhartt double knees. SO YOU CAN ACTUALLY MOVE. I use mine for hiking cycling anything! can't move in levi's pants the are way tighter but the top thigh or groin region.
I like the cuff look, but you're right, it's kinda odd. To each his own I guess. I don't like the jeans breaking at the bottom at all. If they had a 28" inseam, I would probably just buy that with these, but I enjoy the cuff well enough.
It’s only a good fit for smaller waisted people. I’m nowhere near the size of a big dude, but my waist and thighs are definitely bigger than average. My knees down to my ankles are pretty small though. So if I need a size 36 waist Wrangler, the waist will fit, but the legs will be as wide as a barn.
Yes but some brands don't increasingly taper as the sizes get larger as they should (which, I get why they don't, cuz for mass produced clothing, it is impractical to make extra patterns for other size brackets - much more efficient to make one pattern, then grade it up and down for larger and smaller sizes).
Try the 936 if the legs on 13mwz are too big for you. I personally have the opposite problem- the waist on 13s is too big but the leg is too tight- so I opt for the 31mwz which is their relaxed cowboy cut
If you're going to cut the W and the patch off the back pockets, why not just cut the pockets off too? After all, who uses the back pockets anyway? There is more than enough room in the front pockets for wallets and tobacco tins and all the other junk a man could want to carry in his pockets.
I mean, it's all opinion I guess. But I find the pockets perfectly useful with all my Wranglers. 501 was arguably a primitive design, not popular because it was better but because they got the jump on the west-coast market and knew how to make profitable business relationships in the 1900s. There were literally hundreds of brands with different jean designs in the 1800s and 1900s, most extinct by now; so it would be ignorant to think the 501 prevailed simply because it was the best design (it wasn't). It prevailed due to business factors. And it's what people are used to now, so they throw a fit if you challenge their status quo by trying to critically and objectively assess 501....By the way, I'm a HUGE 501 fan, but if I'm being fair, I can't claim it's the greatest jean design of all time; that's just completely untrue if you study denim history (check out Jeans of the Old West by Michael Harris, for instance....or a historic denim edition of Lightning Magazine).
I like how guys think “ I love how basic and non-individualistic and conforming these are..” as though anything that’s the opposite name any form of individuality is bad. That’s sad…. That said THE FIT is what’s important, and second is THE FABRIC. the combo of both will make even the most basic outfit look great.
I'm not sure if I understand what you mean about individuality. Could you perhaps clarify? Sounds like a great point haha And yes, the fit and fabric is excellent to be sure!

Very cool, thanks for the comment!
The belt loops and the pockets are the gripes I had with levis but had never been able to verbalize.
Some friends and I have a saying, "wear the paint off it," which means new gear is fluff unless you actually use and sometimes abuse it!
did you mean wear them in the shower?
People love the Wranglers on reddit for sure. I'd be temped to roll with a TCB copy of these. Love the shop mocs too, Dave!
For all intents and purposes, Mister Freedom jeans qualify as the "repro" of Wrangler jeans. Some day I'm sure I'll try a pair out haha
@@thevintagefuture6567 Oh right. Need to figure out my sizing with them though! (and the TCB ones are no longer in production)
I really like the look with the stitching on the pockets and tag removed.
Glad you like it!
@thevintagefuture6567 just got some 47s and immediately removed the tag and pocket stitching.
Nice heavy and affordable denim.
New subscriber here and I’d just like to say, great video and keep up the good work!!!!!!!
thanks!! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Good video! You really can’t beat them for the price.
Great insightful video. I knew the 13MWZ were good but not this good
I just found your channel and that was an excellent video. I'll have to give Wrangler a closer look. Thanks!
Welcome! Glad the video helped!
Ah that's a really cool mission!
I wear Wrangler, Levi, lee, and other brands when I find them new or vintage depending on the value. Excellent video.
Awesome! And thanks!
Round House is another good one if you’re not trying to be fancy. I have the rigid 5 pocket #147. The fit and style is quite unique the way it fits over boots without being western style. Also, relaxed fit without being too relaxed.
This is cool - I hadn't heard of them
@@thevintagefuture6567Brian the boot maker wears Round House so it must be good 👍
This is a very well done video and covers a vast amount of information. Make no mistake - these are byfar and away dollar for dollar the best jeans in the world.
Glad it was helpful!
This is such an excellent video! Thank you!
i cut the patches, id leave them on when they are the old leather ones but cowboy or not the plastic rectangle is ugly.
Wrangler makes a slim bootcut with same denim which are perfect fir me or anyone that wants a long slim fit that breaks really well with sneakers
is the rise the same on both styles?
I like the OS ones best.

Great video, Cheers!
It's hard to beat a Wrangler for that price haha
Yes, absolutely! I'll keep the W and patches on for the next pair I get, for sure
A very well & logically advocated video.I am at the age of 76 tempted to a pair of these.Or should I go for the 47 MWZ ?
I haven't tried the 47MWZ. I hear great things about it. What's good is, it should be relatively easy and inexpensive to try both the 13 and 47 and return whichever one you don't prefer the fit of....As for me, I like my 13s and can't think of much I would improve about them.
I laugh when I think about those designer jeans people are paying hundreds of dollars for and NEVER do anything in that jeans were made for in the first place. So funny. The 13MWZ..actually the whole Wrangler Cowboy Cut line of jeans is keeping it real.
I’m currently selling my Japanese Rogue Territory’s bc like Nudie Acne etc, you can’t beat the classics.
Also, check out the 47mwz rigid. Very similar fit, but the rivets and indigo are a little elevated over 13mwz imo.
Oh cool! I'll check that out!
have a bit of a weird fit. i’m a pretty slender guy and usually get 31 or 30 waist in other jeans and they are perfect fit… got a pair of 31w in the wrangler cowboy cut and the waist is verging on tight while the legs are a bit loose, so
much so that it’s a bit hard to put hands in front pockets. that being said i love the look of them and the leather patch is the best part.
ah yeah, sizing can be hard, it's so personal
you should do a video on wrangler's rustler line too. almost identical cuts to the cowboy cut line, with simplified details like bar tacks instead of rivets. in a 15oz right hand twill denim. comes in raw, 1 wash, and 1 wash sulfur dyed black. 14 dollars. raw is walmart online exclusive. i suspect the rustler fabric comes from the same mill as 13mwz (mt vernon mills, usa grown cotton) but i have no confirmation. the quality is quite similar and its one of the few mills that can make that price point though! fun fact today's 13mwz use what is effectively the same fabric lee used in the 1970's. you're getting what is almost a repro jean for 30 bucks because of how little it has changed over time. crazy. also fyi some rustlers have 7 belt loops and a coin pocket like 13mwz and some have neither. some walmarts carry a cheapened version but some carry the normal ones.
Can’t find Rustler website or any Rustler selling stores?
Good call.
When you look at a well used belt you will notice that it is bent in the center; this is a sign that it is a victim on a single belt loop in the back.
Absolutely, glad you pointed this out
Yo what is the burgandy shirt that your wearing at about 1:34!! that shirt is awesome id love to know the make
That's actually just a cheapo Target shirt I ended up with LOL....But Warehouse makes a great tee in that color which I want to get.
@@thevintagefuture6567 haha!! What a steal the colour is rad!
This was great.
Levis lost me years ago when they started making the pockets shallower and went from 7 belt loops to 5. I then went to Dickies, just left hem since they no longer offer raw indigo. Recently landed at these Wranglers.
Before I got into denim I hated button fly. Now I prefer it to zippers.
Cool! Same here haha
Fantastic video. The one thing that drives me crazy about every Wrangler review is that no one ever models them with sneakers on. I just wish someone would throw on a pair of chuck taylors, or adidas all stars or something!
oh yeah, that would be great! I have friends who wear them like that - I should have taken pictures of them. Thanks for the comment and killer idea.
AWESOMMMMMMME
Thanks bro 😆
I like the 31mwzgk they are a looser fit if your a stocky guy.they are harder to find .
can you make and honest comparison between japan overpriced denim and regular denim.
I agree with the wrangler jeans. 7 belt loops. Deep pockets. Inseam and butt room. Wearing wrangler since the 1970s.
One of the best!
where do u get these in the uk
Wrangler has an online EU/UK store....I think there's a brick n mortar Wrangler store in Wembley too...cheers

Or you could just get them hemmed shorter at a local tailor, usually for like $20.
wranglers are the hands-down best fit for skinny dudes and anyone who wants their butt to look amazing
I couldn't have said it better hahaha
Real talk.
This is good experiential info - thank you!

They definitely have less room in the butt/ crotch than 501s though
501 is the ultimate fit especially the lvc 501 (47,55,66) but the regular off the shelf 501 are hit and miss these days inconsistant
Absolutely true, great info....I think certain people can upsize if they need that extra room (while for others of course, it may just be a poor fit that's too tight regardless).
Where are they made?
Mexico, sometimes Nicaragua....Some are still made in USA, but they're hard to find.
What about Maverick? Their M on the pocket was an upside down W. I thought they were related to Wrangler somehow.
Hmmmm never heard of them - sounds cool
@ Google it. They had the exact same brown plastic patch on the pants rear pocket.
I honestly think the seven belt loops looks better, even speaking as a skinny guy. I would pay an extra £5-10 for a real leather patch though.

So good to hear someone else support the seven belt loop idea. I remember wearing some Wranglers for the first time, putting on my belt, and thinking why is this not industry standard?
why did you remove the wrangler patch?
It was an experiment to show that people who don't like Wrangler can wear Wrangler without it looking like they're wearing Wrangler. Also, the plastic patch is kind of annoying and cheap feeling. That said, I don't always remove the patch etc for my Wrangler jeans, I just did it for this video.
I heard the patch used to be something the cowgirls would steal off the cowboys wranglers for sport@@thevintagefuture6567

I probably won't get around to that, but I do love that!
Hi! Have you deleted your old videos?
Why would anybody not want a cowboy jean?
hahaha good question! It's not everyone's style. I've worn western wear for 20+ years, but I understand that it's not everyone's preference. So I figured maybe I could win some of them over with my "cut off the patch" spiel.

The 47 MWZ is more comparable to the 501. The 13mwz tapers from the yoke up to the end of the waist.
Good to know, thank you!
As a gay dude, dont think i was the original target audience for cowboy jeans but those pockets and high rise fit, makes any mans rear end look 10x better lol
hahaha thank you for the perspective - it really is a great design lol
I’m sold! 😂
Just to let ypu know, your opinión got me to buying them
The 7 loops makes it a pain to put on a belt
lol
What flannel are you wearing around the 1:35 mark? That's sharp. @thevintagefuture6567
Thanks! It's a Freenote Cloth Jepson flannel. They don't sell this one anymore, but they have other cool ones.
another point to add is if you lay a pair of these and dickies 874 or levi's 501 down flat you'll see that the legs go straighter down. these have a man spread cut the same as carhartt double knees. SO YOU CAN ACTUALLY MOVE. I use mine for hiking cycling anything! can't move in levi's pants the are way tighter but the top thigh or groin region.
Why do you cuff up the bottom of the pants looks kinda weird.
I like the cuff look, but you're right, it's kinda odd. To each his own I guess. I don't like the jeans breaking at the bottom at all. If they had a 28" inseam, I would probably just buy that with these, but I enjoy the cuff well enough.
If this isnt serious. Top notch joke dude...
This is super helpful info - thanks for sharing! Sounds like they don't have good proportion gradation with the leg dimensions.
Im guessing this is intentional for them to safely fit cowboy boots
Yes but some brands don't increasingly taper as the sizes get larger as they should (which, I get why they don't, cuz for mass produced clothing, it is impractical to make extra patterns for other size brackets - much more efficient to make one pattern, then grade it up and down for larger and smaller sizes).
Try the 936 if the legs on 13mwz are too big for you. I personally have the opposite problem- the waist on 13s is too big but the leg is too tight- so I opt for the 31mwz which is their relaxed cowboy cut
@@andrejlukovac8998me too 31mwzgk are the most comfortable I think they are stone washed
I don’t know… They look kind of baggy
That's fair....I sized up too, so I don't get the butt-hugger look.
you washed your jeans? man I haven't washed my ridgid wranglers for half a year
I used to do that, but it gets gross, so I just treat my jeans normally now
@@thevintagefuture6567 That makes sense! Did you get the same fading patterns as when you wash them vs when you didn't?
less washing just makes the fades more contrasted, but the basic pattern is the same.
These are probably ideal for skinny tall guys, I tried a pair and hated them.
ah yes, this is quite possible
If you're going to cut the W and the patch off the back pockets, why not just cut the pockets off too? After all, who uses the back pockets anyway? There is more than enough room in the front pockets for wallets and tobacco tins and all the other junk a man could want to carry in his pockets.
Have you ever worn a pair of 13mwz?? The only thing I dislike is the front pockets. They are very small
@@kylejackson1885 All the time. They could make the pockets bigger, I must admit.
a negative couse u did not wear western boots
I wore western boots for 15 years and got tired of them....but touche haha
Smoking crack on saying it’s better than a 501. The pockets are fucking useless
Yep, have a pair and it’s the best
And yes having a flattering back side is attractive FOR EVERYONE…. Not just women.
Sounds like a great point haha
And yes, the fit and fabric is excellent to be sure!
