You are the man! Thanks for helping me solve my problem. In my case, I would get a long beep upon boot that lasted about 20 seconds or so, then stop, and the computer otherwise ran fine. It's because my CPU cooling fan hasn't completely failed, but is just slow to spin up - especially if my room is cold like now in early winter.
AMazing work brother. spot on even in 2024. It was beeping at every fan on the motherboard which wasnt connected. so I had to go and disable the warning in bios for all non connected fans and fix any fan that might have had an obsurction. All the best
As the world is upgrading towards laptop and modern PC, it is very hard to resolve old PC problems by self. Thanks to Hero's like him who provide guidance finally my ears can work in peace 🕊️ without that continues beep sound. Tip for others that of the monitor doesent open it means you have to remove the ram and clean the part where you connect it (the ram not motherboard) and put it back and on your computer and it will open
Thank you. I had unplugged the fan thinking I was going to move it. I didn't move it or plug it back in and promptly forgot. Then when I turned on the computer on a little while later, the continues beep. Thank you for your time in figuring this out. Peace.

Just forgot that the same time I removed the second fan from my cooler connected to CPU_OPT, but haven't changed the fan warning option to "Disabled" in BIOS before the disconnect 😅 Your content saved my day, you're the best! At first, I was having a hard time finding the system fan fail warning in my gigabyte B450 motherboard since the default in the smart fan 5 of the motherboard was set for the cpu. By clicking on cpu fan, a drop down box for the system fan will be revealed. Thanks again... :-)

Yess siirrr TY, worked fine when I first started up my PC, one fan’s wire wasn’t pulled in and after I did still refuses to believe it then after I went in bios disabled the fan think no more beeping and worked fine. Many thanks
nice.. this removes one more thing to look at.. i had some problem but i only have 2 fan slot and used both.. the beeping starts whenever the PC is on already.. and will go away if i Sleep or Hibernate it then turn back on..
Its because the fans dont power up immediately if you have the alert enabled it will always beep at startup. Not much you can do other than set temp notifications instead.
MARCH 2024 - Troubleshoot successfully, Set the CPU temperature warning to 60°C, it spiked to 80°C, thus beep non-stop. Just set the new threshold to 80°C, SETTLED. FULL-STOP. Thank you Brother.

My Z97-D3H with E3-1285v4 home server would randomly start this continuous beep while it's been running for over a day.. in Windows. When it starts the continuous beep (again, while inside Windows), all fans are still reporting the correct RPMs and the temps are all way below their critical limits. What is weird is that, I have ALL fan fail and temperature warnings disabled in BIOS. This started happening during the last 24 hours and it has done so, twice. I have temporarily removed the speaker while I find a proper solution.

i get this sound when switching out my RAM with new ones, it's so annoying, like the PC i'm working on was build to only work with the RAM stick it was manufactored with, only tips i can find is clean the RAM stick, but that isnt the problem, the problem is! --> When ever there is ANY ram stick besides the one 8 gb ram stick that was allready in the PC when i bought it, it makes the long beep sound and monitor stays black, leaving me to be able to do nothing. so, replacing the ram stick and it does this, Leaving the ram stick in and adding an extra ram stick i get this sound, replacing the ram stick and adding an extra ram stick i get this. Remove all extra ram stick and leave only the original in the PC and there is no problem .......
