I feel this is quite sad, because neither the cameraman or the one doing the interview are doing this lady and this home justice, you can tell that she's quite proud of her home. It's absolutely breath taking and unique her personality it's built-in her home.

I lived in a mud house throughout my childhood days. There's one big advantage of mud houses and that's it maintains same temperature inside. Its high insulating properties makes it maintain single room temperature at all times. Of course Ghana's weather is relatively hot but when its cold outside you feel hot inside and vice versa lol. There two main types of mud houses, one with wooden skeleton frame and the other with no wooden frame. The lifespan of the first depends on how long the wooden frame will last whereas the latter depends on how best you protect the surface from being washed away by rainwater. The one without wooden frames takes longer time (even up to a year) to build because its stability depends on gravity, hence its very thick in size ( over 1ft in thickness). My family house is over 60 years and its built without wooden skeleton frame.

They wouldn’t like it if we built mud homes for free they would put a tax on us just to get dirt for ourselves because there just plain greedy. Voting in our country doesn’t matter who you vote for there all stupid and don’t comprehend what normal living is or should be.

Salam sister. Your choice and expression impressed me. This nature is a book. Very few people could read it. An Indian song goes like.... "" make the earth your bed and wear the sky. "" wish u good luck. Keep reflection and be with your CREATOR. Thanks from Bangladesh

Well it’s now 2020 and watching your video I love your home paradise . Simple life is so much better than suburban life of so Many bills day after day . , I would be happy with a home even of less quality because I’m an easy going chap. I’ll be looking for your book on amazon hopeing it’s still there. , oh and compost toilets rock , it’s not normal pooing in water to flush , why? Just astounding to be honest ,don’t make any sense at all except to keep every one paying for water something we shouldn’t have to do.. thumbs up want to see more videos like this ,big hugs . 👍

Not well shown, by the camera person but can tell its beautiful. Always wanted to live in a mud hut near nature and with animals. This would be ideal! Wish I had done it when I was young. Not a city person even after 60 years in London. What am I doing here???
