    2023 Nissan Altima Errata (Corrections) -
    1) Taillights are not LEDs, they are incandescent (Thank you Jeringazzz).
    2) At 06:37 it should read '12.3 in. color display with multi-touch control'
    Apologies for the oversights.

      Also, the backup sensors are not standard, only on upper 2 trims

      @@freefree2021 If we are referring to the same thing, I believe that is incorrect. According to the Nissan spec sheet (usa.nissannews.com/en-US/releases/2023-nissan-altima-press-kit) if you look at Exterior Features - Rear Sonar System, it is standard across all trims. If you could a link or source it would be appreciated.

    I bought the 23 Sr, with the whole package. After all the add ons it came out at 40 grand. The sky grey pearl looks amazing, definitely get a lot of looks. Should have good trade in value if I keep the mileage low.

    Good review but major point that needs highlighted. I purchased a new used 2023 Altima S. Previously owned a 2014 Altima S. Was shocked after the fact to realize that my 2014 had a push button unlock on the door handle and my almost new 2023 did not. So I now seem to have a car that uses the button start (yeah); but then makes you get the key fob out “every” time that you want your lock or unlock your doors after exiting the car. Unbelievable. I love the Altimas. But would never have purchased this car if I had known that fact. Didn’t even think to check on such a basic thing. I am researching the phone app. But that still seems to make you get your phone in and out each time. Thought it must have had a walkway lock feature instead. But don’t think so. Any thoughts? A major, major, disappointment.

      Sorry to hear that. Did some checking based on your comment and it looks like the 2024 S doesn't have it either, you'd have have to go up to the SV ( I think). That's good info and thank you for sharing that. Appreciate you dropping in and commenting

    are they ever going to lower the cabin noise I also have Malibu turbo much faster and quieter more interior choice

    • @Kirin2022
      @Kirin2022 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Malibu is quieter but I find the Altima's sound level satisfactory for its class. It's no speedster but good for its class unless compared to family sedans with turbo engines. I personally avoid turbos--just one more thing to break down as far as I'm concerned. I just need enough acceleration to make lane changes safely.

    The Nissan Altima SR CVT Turbo wow 😮 Very Overpriced Seen One at a Dealership in Maryland $37,500 Too Much. Really

      @MtnRoads  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sounds like the dealer had some add-ons or a markup. I hope you find one a bit cheaper. Appreciate you dropping in and commenting!

      Considering that the average price of new vehicles now average between $45-50k, I would say that $37.5k is a bargain.

      Hah, that’s probably the base price before they add on the extras… if you’re financing that car would come out around 45-50k

    My understanding is that the 2020 Keyfob for the Altima is easy to hack and thus criminals often steal those cars. How does the 2023 Keyfob compare? Will criminals have an easy time stealing the 2023 model?

    • @MtnRoads
      @MtnRoads  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If I understand, the issue they have a device that is cloning the RFID signal and then using that to unlock the vehicle. I couldn't find anything specific to the 2023 Altima. Unfortunately, all modern cars that use fobs are susceptible to this, maybe some more then others. If you are concerned about this or in a situation where you cant park your vehicle in a garage I would recommend searching Amazon (or whatever you like) for an RFID car fob protector box (aka Faraday box) these should block those signals so they cannot be cloned. They are cheap, $15-$20 bucks. Pouches are also available for when you are out, you can just put your fob in it, fits in your pocket. I hope this helps. Thank you for the question. I think your getting confused with Kia they’ve had issues with that due to them not having an immobilizer.
