Gynecologist chair... Priceless! I did buy a Honda RC 51 once and my wife was mad as it had a solo seat. I told her I would put pegs back on it and give her a ride. Well it had high pipes so her legs had to go far wide so she wouldn't get burned. We both laughed at my contraption that was now a two up bike. She did NOT want to ride it but I MADE the promise and I DID the work so she rode on it basically around the block, laughing our ass off! When I got her back she said it felt like being at the gynecologist office! Thanks for the flash back.

Hell that $500 bike would be worth it just to have something to chop up and customize for the practice. I looked at a LOT of VTX's before I settled on the Valkyrie. I have the VT750 and they are all great, almost unkillable machines. Only reason I didn't go for one is the Valk was newer with lower miles. Now that I have another bike, you've inspired me to turn my 750 to a custom/chop project. My 'essential service' HVAC job is now furloughed for at least 2 months, so I've got a little more time on my hands. Be safe out there. Much love from Washington, DC.

I tried to buy an 1800 a decade ago. It had the wide tire/wheel kit in it and looked so cool. Lost the auction to another guy and went with a Screaming Eagle Vrod instead and spent an extra $10000 to boot which sucked. The vrod was the baddest machine I’ve ever owned to this day and I always regret selling it along with all my other bikes. It was the pearl yellow color and they only made 700 of them. Hand built in the CVO factory. I could talk bikes all day long! Thanks for the channel, new sub here.

Those intruders have the most comfortable seat ever. They also all had a wobble when you take your hands off the bars until you replace the stock neck bearings with some all balls or something of that sort. Everybody complained about it when they were new and instead of issuing a recall Suzuki told people to keep their hands on the bars. I still have my intruder sitting around I’ve had half ton trucks get better gas mileage. 18 on a good day.

Love the video brother , but gotta disagree with you on the best sounding metric cruiser , Hands down the Yamaha Roadstars with a nice set of Roadburner Double Eagles with baffles out sounds extremely mean , and have a nice deep rumble at idle and a Mean sound when you're in the throttle . Just put a set on my 04 Roadstar and my buddy who owns an extremely nice 06 Harley with duals on it could not believe the sound of my Roadstar with the Roadburners , he was Truely impressed . Good looking out on showing people that not all Harley dealers are like some of the ones that I've been told about by partners I worked with that had nothing but bad experiences out in the central valley in California. Awesome that you're showing people that they can get into riding for pretty darn cheap!!! And still have a blast and e experience the joy of being out on a bike a d enjoying this beautiful country that we live in !!!! Rids safe , ride often and always give a wave to your brothers and sisters that are out there on two wheels , regardless of what they're riding , and 3 wheels too 😁

There are plenty of old non Harley bikes that are worth 3 grand or more. The price of the used Harleys has fallen off quite a bit over the past 15 years or so. Now that production is high and the new bikes are good the market for the older bikes isn't there. You used to see 10 year old Harleys going for nearly the price of a new one. While the new Harleys are very nice it's still funny to me they're so expensive and yet still look like the same bike that's 20 years older.

Hey Shady, buy that 1500cc Intruder... 2003 was the last year of that model before it became the Boulevard.
Its a good reliable bike that will do what you want, when you want, with no hassels, with a minimum of attention. Much like a good woman.
I have one from 2001 and ride it almost more than my Dyna Wide Glide. Love it, and there are still plenty of spares around.

My first and current bike is a VTX1300C with 43k miles on it. Love it but that stock seat is only good for about 50 miles of comfort. It sounds so good I want to keep it when I finally have the money to get a nice bike.

My second bike and my favorite was a VTX1300c. Big mag wheels, drag bars and a big single carburetor - can't go wrong. Just light enough to rip around the city and great on the highway. Had it for 2 years before it got hit and totaled. In those two years I replaced the back tire, replaced the clutch cable and did oil changes. Not bad for a crusty $2k bike (and this was a few years ago when bikes sorta had value!). Will definitely get another one before they all get too old

In the state of Washington motorcycle riding is listed as an approved outdoor activity as long as you are not in groups of more that 10 people and are practicing social distancing while getting gas and at stops etc...so put the hammer down!

FYI, I've worked at a Harley dealer as a service advisor, parts associate, parts-to-service, etc., so I can speak with some authority. $1,000 to rebuild the engine in that '99 Electra Glide Classic is realistic in parts if you're doing the work yourself, but there are a couple to a few specialty tools that will push that number out a bit. In particular, there is no way around specialty tools for cam chest service. Beyond that, I can honestly say, I have a regular customer who has a 2008 Twin Cam Electra Glide Classic with 177,500 miles on it and he has **NEVER** had to have any engine work done on it. Let me restate that, just in case you missed it - this guy has a Twin Cam Harley Electra Glide with basically 180,000 miles that has **NEVER** needed anything beyond routine maintenance on the engine and he bought it from my dealership BRAND NEW in 2008. Keep up on routine maintenance on ANY motorcycle, INCLUDING a Harley-Davidson and it will be a reliable bike for longer than you realistically need it to be. On a separate note, that VTX1300 is an awesome bike. On ANOTHER unrelated note, a large part of the reason you felt like you were sitting ON the Electra-Glide instead of IN the bike is because it has a Badlander seat on it. It's hard as hell and feels like sitting on a piece of flat board, but some people prefer that, especially if you have sciatic nerve pain. My mother had sciatica. No buéno.
For my money, I'd also buy the '99 Electra Glide. Hell of a bike.

I wanted to thank you for your video on installing the Lectron carburetor on your bike. I had been trying to figure out what carburetor to replace my CV on my bike with. When I saw your video I bought one and just finished installing it on my bike. It was one of the easiest carburetors to setup. It reminds me of Rochester quidrojet carburetors for cars. Keep up the great work be safe.

I bought my 2002 Intruder Volusia from my buddy for $500 because he cut me a deal for my birthday and it’s in AMAZING shape. Full touring package and all, but I ditched the old man windshield and I’m currently amassing parts so I can bob it during the winter.

I sense that what I'm watching is kind of an extended ad for Bert's H-D and the reciprocal agreement for that Road King Special you ride - but I don't care. You are amusing and fun to watch. I'm diggin' it, as you might say. Get a contact with them!

I'm hoping to travel up to Bert's H.Davidson sometime in the new year. Thanks Shadetree Surgeon for telling us about Bert's. Our neighborhood H.D. dealers are very expensive in South Florida. Can't wait to travel up north to Clearwater for a great deal.
God bless you Shadetree and Ms. C.
