    Amazing. My favorite so far. It’s so “unplugged” and intimate. Bravo!

    Listening to a duet between Warren Zevon & Stevie would be wonderful as they both recorded "reconsider me" at one point:)

      Closest thing you'll get is "Mohammed's Radio", on which Stevie sang back up on. There is a picture of Stevie and a VERY drunk Warren Zevon playing the piano from the early 90's, so maybe they've worked on a song before.

    Simply the single greatest song Stevie Nicks ever sang

    Gothic Trunk, I realized if you link this version of Sorcerer to the Scarlett Stand Back music video, it almost links up perfectly. It almost gives alternate universe vibes.

    love it. thanks!
    who are the musicians, anyway? i hear waddy but not sure about the others. they could be the same crew that stevie was using at that time (roy bittan, benmont tench, russ kunkel etc). if so, it’s pretty much an unofficial offical stevie solo track, if that makes any sense at all!

      Stevie's "session" musicians lol. I think what you said is pretty accurate. It's possible that the music track was going to be used for RAL (the first version aka "Mirror, Mirror album") but since the delay of that album (pushed back to a 1985 release) she gave it away for the soundtrack.

    Does anyone know how it came to be that Marilyn Martin ended up singing this on the soundtrack instead of Stevie?

    • @renaximon
      @renaximon 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      In the Streets of Fire movie, Diane Lane is the singer who is supposedly singing some of the songs. She could pull the trick "singing" the songs Marilyn Martin and Maria McKee actually sang, but there would be no way she could convince us that the voice of Stevie belongs to any other woman in the world!!! 🤨😮❤❤

      Also, supposedly, Jimmy Iovine's artistic premise for the film and soundtrack was that the songs would be written by well-known artists...but, performed by relatively unknowns and/or stand-ins. The reason that the Springsteen title track, "Streets Of Fire", isn't on the soundtrack, is because Bruce disapproved of the switching/chicanery of singers, and didn't allow the producers to use it.

    Can you use the vocals of the 70's Version? I mean the buckingham nicks. I feel the vocals are similar to the movie in that version. th-cam.com/video/cP7G1PUbbKM/w-d-xo.html

    The quality of Stevie's voice is pretty good on this, but Sheryl Crow's ultimate production and arrangement is far superior.
