It’s unfortunate that this is private, but none the less, I am greatly impressed. I have actually had the opportunity to help out on the restoration project for the EBT, and seeing 16 run for the first time in 60+ years is astronomical. Nice job man.
Lovely models, what an amazing fleet you have done. Thank you for sharing these images. I am glad to see someone else who loves the 15 due to the headlight. I am a sucker for anything with an arc headlight, especially on a shortline engine with a wooden pilot and tall chimney. It is good to see someone else who feels such. One other note, the welded tender tank on the 16 was done in service days. I am not a fan of modern welded jobs, but 16’s was from service days. Of note 12 had an arc headlight when new, and 17 still has an arc headlight, although with the chimney removed.

Everyone wants to just make "tons" of money off this stuff and that is all. To me Trainz has become money, screenshot & TH-cam video simulator. Now I will say, I LOVE your music videos man, they are amazing, especially Wreck of Old 97. However, no one does anything that meaningful with the sim or what it was even intended for...and like you said, it is hard to make compelling video content when most of the community is a bunch of foamers who have no idea how real railroads operate or even want to watch that sort of stuff anyway. Now my suggestion for you would be to make an ops session video or at least as close as you can to it. Have your stuff doing real work without deleting or placing down trains randomly unless of course something horrific happens. It was the whole idea behind this originally from Auran, for this to be a virtual *model* railroad simulator and to be able to run operating sessions within it. After Tony with N3V took over, the whole direction of the game changed and in turn, it (in my opinion) ruined what could have been a great operations sim for people who don't have enough space to build a physical layout. Heck, aside from when I was making content many years ago, operating sessions are where I get the most enjoyment and I get a sense of really doing something after I've done the jobs/work given to myself. I don't just run on 1 route either, I actually iPortal between routes so my ops sessions are rather interesting. When I finish work on one route, I go to another and do work over there until I can't or want to transfer to another route again and so on. I rotate around between routes constantly sending trains all over the place to the industries that need cars or products. I don't cheat in products either and I only use staging yards to spawn trains in. They HAVE to run from staging to get anywhere, even if it is just light engine and I really can't understand why no one uses the industry system either. We have this INCREDIBLE feature of having *working* industry, yet no one uses it! Makes it a lot more interesting and engaging then just running a train in a circle or plopping one down, taking a screenshot, then deleting it. I swear people have absolutely no attention span nowadays. iPortals also allow you to send trains to other people, meaning you can (and there are iPortal Discord servers) make it even more insane by having trains go between other people and not just yourself. Everyone seems to have lost what the original point of Trainz was and I wish people would understand what I just described is what the sim was intended for, but N3V and this community have completely wasted this game's potential. Keep up the good work!
I never considered the use of industries like the way you've laid out, mostly because I don't know how to set something like that up, but who knows, maybe I can give op sessions a shot. This could also push the need for my models to have interactive cab interiors to help with the immersion and not just spinning a dial like most of my other stuff is. Because, yeah, in truth I'd LOVE to find more of a reason to play this game than just making a model then exiting to play TF2 or something, I've almost considered porting my stuff to a new game in general unless I find something in Trainz to keep me interested, so yeah, I'll definitely keep note of this. I fell out of Trainz probably around 3 years ago or so but am checking out a less then legal copy of TRS22 for the 1st time soon...after I migrate all my crap over which is taking forever. (I just cannot support N3V. I consider games an investment, and if I am not agreeing with the company or dev...I ain't gonna financially support that. Yet I do want to try out the game but because of no demos existing anymore, it makes it quite freaking hard to do so without getting it via some other means) While Trainz is a sort of sandbox you can do anything in, holy CRAP does it get boring when there is no goal or reason to do anything for. No, that wasn't the factor that drew me away from the franchise, it was N3V with their dumb garbage and the community. I've had plenty of reason to actually play the game as I described before, but I just hate where the community and N3V are taking this franchise. I was hoping Railroads Online would be an alternative railroad simulator I could do instead, but that ship died with a nuke at this point. Now I'm waiting for Railroader: Shortline Operations to come out as well and that DEFINITELY is going to be a competitor to Dovetail's trash and Trainz. We'll see how they fair when it finally releases. Btw, if you ever need help with setting up industries. I know way more then the average person about them or TH-camr, so if you ever want help, don't hesitate to ask!
Well, I play other sims like Planet Coaster in sandbox mode where there is no goal, you just build or explore the park. I don't really like challenges in games like these where you build things. I like trains and amusement parks and I have and had a whole bunch of train and amusement park sims but I don't play them all. Some games I had in the past I don't play anymore, like MSTS, old Roller Coaster Tycoons, Theme Park by Bullfrog, etc. because the ones I use currently are superior. i guess if you like games where you have to do something or complete something or fail, like most video games where you have to fight enemies, race to the finish line or shoot zombies or terrorists in order to win. I used to play A-Train and Theme Park on Playstation 1 in the late 90's.

I think the EBT gave 17 yellow handrails because it complemented the red and black. That’s just a guess, maybe it was a FAD in the 90s, when q7 gained the livery.
learned after making this that it was just some safety stuff, not sure kind of effect painting 0.1% of the locomotive yellow did for safety though, lol
Only thing to note on the "2023" 16 is that the lettering is slightly different (size, placement, and font). Minor difference aside, these look superb!

#12 is a current favorite. Narrow gauge steam engines with deep toned whistles are just pure bliss.
you should hear #12's original Baldwin whistle, infinitely deeper that the one it wore during most of it's life.
