      @@NapLabReviews thank you for the reply! I've been looking for as soft as you can get since I'm very, very small and it's impossible to find lists for very underweight people, only overweight 🫠
      I really think the Helix sunset might be it

      @@LavenderLydia You're welcome.
      I would the Sunset does it for, but I would be shocked if it does. It's soft, but it's not extra soft. With a lighter weight body I think you'll find it far too firm.

    Bought this mattress last year and it is my favorite. Kept a mattress protective cover over it and it has survived two moves so far!
    I also love having a plush mattress topper on it too and it feels like new every night

    Very thorough review, well done as always!
    I bet a top question on this mattress is what key differences you could expect from the Luxe model compared to the base Sunset? Would the Luxe shore up some of the weaker points like motion, cooling & pressure relief?

    • @NapLabReviews
      @NapLabReviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, Kale!
      I haven't tested the Sunset Luxe yet, so the following are just my guesses.
      However, I have tested the Midnight and Midnight Luxe
      Midnight review - naplab.com/mattress-reviews/helix-midnight-review/
      Midnight Luxe review - naplab.com/mattress-reviews/helix-midnight-luxe-review/
      In those tests the biggest differences were:
      -Midnight luxe had notably lower motion transfer
      -Midnight luxe h as notably faster response time
      -Midnight luxe had moderately faster edge support
      -Midnight luxe has notably better pressure relief
      -Midnight had slightly better sex performance (due to better bounce)
      I would expect the Luxe version of the Sunset to be similar.
      The Luxe versions use a thicker comfort layer, better comfort foams, and a higher performance coil unit. The combined increase in material quality results in notable improvements in performance in several critical categories.

    I am struggling to choose between Helix Sunset & Saatva Classic (Plush Version).
    I am a side sleeper and weigh about 137lbs.
    These are my concerns:
    I am worried about my mattress being TOO soft. I don’t like Medium mattresses, but if the mattress is way too soft and sinks too much then I experience back pain.
    Unfortunately I didn’t see any review that you did for the Saatva Classic PLUSH version. You did the sinkage test for the luxury firm but I don’t know the sinkage for the Plush version.
    I find your videos and website to be very informative and useful so I was a little sad to see that there wasn’t a sinkage test done for specifically the Plush version of Saatva Classic
    Thanks!

    • @NapLabReviews
      @NapLabReviews  หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are correct, I haven't tested the plush version of Saatva Classic, so my estimation of its firmness is just that, an estimate.
      Given your needs and preferences here I would feel more confident recommend the Sunset over the Classic, if for the only reason that I am certain of the firmness on the Sunset.
      Both are solid mattresses and provided you liked the firmness, I think you could be happy on either.

    • @integral9x
      @integral9x หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@NapLabReviews Thanks for the response, may I ask you a question?
      Many reviews from people online have stated that the Sunset actually feels quite firm and that clients have woken up with shoulder and hip pain because they actually felt the mattress to be firm. There are many people I read who actually said this same thing.
      Why do you think this is? And what was your experience with the Sunset Helix?
      As always thanks a lot!

    • @NapLabReviews
      @NapLabReviews  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@integral9x Possibly because it's a thin knit cover instead of a quilted, euro top, or pillow top cover. Some sleepers have an idea of what "soft" is supposed to feel like. And often without those types of covers you can get more people saying it's firmer.
      That said, I do think these reviews are overblown and I disagree with them. Sunset is a soft mattress relative to other mattresses.

    What mattress would you recommend that is like the sunset, but offers better cooling or breathability? Everything about the sunset sounds nice since I'm a side sleeper and on the lighter side. But the lack of heat dissipation makes me a little worried about what I'll experience when it's warm inside my place. Thanks for the video and thorough review.

      Helix Sunset Luxe and Helix Sunset Elite would both be notably better choices for cooling compared to the standard Helix Sunset.

    If someone was looking for the absolute softest bed on the market for a side sleeper is this what you would choose? I have very broad shoulders and get shoulder pain when I don't get enough sinkage from sleeping on my side. Of all of the Helix line this particular mattress seems to be the least reviewed and talked about. Thanks!

    Which mattress would you recommend for pressure sensitive side sleeper below 150lbs in the range of $1000-$1500. The Helix Sunset, Puffy Lux Hybrid or the Winkbed Soft? Any other recommendations for firmness around 4-5? I tried the Dreamcloud and it felt too firm so its going back.

    • @NapLabReviews
      @NapLabReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Puffy Lux Hybrid is too firm for sure.
      Winkbed Soft and Helix Soft are good options. I would also recommend you check out the Nest Bedding Sparrow (soft).
      Amerisleep's AS5 Hybrid is a bit beyond your budget, but worth considering if you have any flexibility on the budget.

      So Im still between Helix Sunset, Winkbed Soft and Nest Sparrow. All of them are between my target firmness of 4-5. Which one would you go with?
      Also, Sparrow gets rave reviews but I hardly see it on anyone's best of list? Or recommendation list? Why is that? Almost no one knows about it.

    • @NapLabReviews
      @NapLabReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@kunalmj Sparrow doesn't get as many "best of" lists because 1) they aren't as big of a brand and 2) because they aren't as big the commissions they offer aren't as high (many best of lists only list mattresses with the highest commission rates)
      Between Sunset, Winkbed, and Sparrow I'd start with the Winkbed soft. It's the best overall performer between those 3 based on our battery of objective tests.

    Between the Helix sunset elite and Saatva classic which has a softer plush feel with more sinkage? Thanks!

    • @NapLabReviews
      @NapLabReviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't personally tested either...so this is more an educated guess. What I have tested is the luxury firm version of Saatva Classic and the standard version Helix Sunset.
      Based on my tests, the brands rating of their firmness, and my experience with similar models from these brands, I expect sinkage to be similar between the two and I expect the Sunset will be slightly softer.
