Hi I I'm looking at the king plus elite. I'm 6'2 and 385lbs. My wife 5'5 260lbs. I'm a side sleeper she's a back sleeper. We do not want any kind of memory foam we are both hot sleepers. We both suffer from degenerative disc disease. Every time we take the helix bed test it says the plus lux is best. We think the plus elite is a better fit. What do you suggest? Thank you for responding.
@@quazink I think you could be perfectly happy with either the Plus Luxe or the Plus Elite. Both are great mattresses and both meet your needs well. We're currently finishing testing on the Plus Luxe, but it looks like it's going to be a slightly worse performer than the Plus Elite, which we recently finished testing here - naplab.com/mattress-reviews/helix-plus-elite-review/
@@NapLabReviews thank you and they have a July sale 30% off the elite so it might be a good time to buy. Have you ever seen them offer a better price than this for Christmas?
Great review! Purple came out with a new Luxe luxary mattress. Any plans to review the highest end version of the mattress. I want to see if a mattress is worth dropping 7k for.
Is this mattress compatible on an adjustable bed frames? What would be best for comfort/pressure relief between this mattress, Nest Bedding Sparrow or Owl, or the Logan & Cove Frontier? Loving these videos, reviews are so informative on my search!
Yes, it's compatible with an adjustable foundation. #1 Helix Midnight Elite #2 Nest Bedding Sparrow and Owl #3 Logan and Cove Frontier That said, the difference between Nest and Logan and Cove is incredibly minor. So much so I almost made it a 3 way tie. The Elite is a noted, but not massive step up over the others. Thank you so much for your kind words! Let me know if I can do anything else for you.
Such a great review!!! There’s a lot going on inside this mattress. Lol! But it does look comfy! Does the pillowtop on top of the black bag have memory foam in it also?
Awesome review! I was hesitant to buy an online mattress because I prefer to see and feel it in person (especially for the price!) but decided to go for it and placed an order over the weekend. It is time to move on from our bottom tier no name mattress (lots of lower back pain recently for me) so this is going to be quite an upgrade haha. Hoping this is a perfect fit for me (31yr 6’2 200lbs) and my wife (28yr 5’6 150lbs)
Thanks for the great review. Looking to get this mattress. Currently using the Nolah Evo 15. It sinks too much with my wife and I in it, which makes me feel off balance when sleeping. Having hella hip and shoulder pain. I'm 240lb and she is about 140lb. Will the Midnight Elite be too similar to the Evo 15 and thus recreate my issue?
Midnight Elite and Nolah Evolution 15 have a very similar firmness and sinkage depth. I think you would find you have the exact same issues with the Midnight Elite as with the Evolution 15. Both Nolah Evolution 15 and Midnight Elite are a 5.5 out of 10 firmness, medium feel. You may want to step up to a medium firm (6-6.5) or even a slightly firm feel (7-7.5). Perhaps something like the Bear Elite would be a good alternative. See here - naplab.com/mattress-reviews/bear-elite-hybrid-review/
@@WalkingLegacy My pleasure Midnight Luxe is a touch firmer than the Elite and Nolah Evolution 15, so it would be an option as well for you. I lean more towards Bear Elite in your case due to the higher density foams in the top layer, but both are great choices.
My personal favorite and what I have slept on since 2017 is Loom and Leaf. It's a higher end memory foam mattress. Memory foam has its pros and cons, but for my wife and I the pressure relief, comfort, and body hugging feel outweighs the few negatives. No immediate plans, but if we get enough requests we'll buy it for testing.

@@themcdermottway6912 I'd put it at around the same level as Nest Bedding's Sparrow and Owl. Though I would pick the Sparrow over the Sedona.

Thank you!
No, it's not memory foam. It's a quilted poly foam with poly fiber bating.

How do you like the helix elite so far?
how is/was the bed?
No complaints, a proper investment
