If it's an hour for every run and it took 200 hours for me to basically 100% my first run of the game, then theoretically you can take longer on your first run than the subsequent 99 runs combined.
I also wonder how much time it took to farm to 713 (assuming there wasn't some glitch/cheat involved). @Jor Dan idk where you heard this information but bleed builds are still generally stronger, and heavy attack builds probably too with the right setup actually most ashes of war could probably melt almost any boss with the right setup too, black flame tornado isn't particularly unique it just does that hp% damage which is more noticeable on later NG but still not way too crazy

Having multiple NG+ in Ds 1-3 was a requirement for spells, weapons, and game endings. With Elden Ring there is absolutely ZERO need to go beyond NG+3 for the required game endings towards platinum.( considering you're playing LEGIT and NOT using a save exploit via console or PC.) Elden Ring introduced Larval Tears and Mausoleums. NG+1 you should have all spells and weapons. NG+2 you'll have ( legitimately ) all the required endings for Platinum and more than enough Larval Tears to change your stats to ANY game style you want. Beyond NG+2 is individual preference for whatever reason.
if you do the normal ending on your first run you'll still have to beat the game 3 more times, but otherwise yeah, only reasons to keep going would be build experiments, boredom, trying to beat NG+7 (or whatever has the strongest enemies), etc.
It's taken me about 30 hours to beat DS1 and DS2 on my first runs. Elden ring I sunk 68 hours into one character, got to Maliketh, and stopped having fun and never finished the game. This guy beat the game in an hour.

Two souls tips for new players that no one ever gives, that this video helped me realize: -Try to play 'cleanly' meaning don't spam, this is because you can be action queued. -A lot of attacks, whether from bosses or ads can be dodged hugging and running around them. Especially an overhead attack.
Imagine if they made a secret ending in ng+100, like an unknown god devouring the world the moment u kill final boss and then teleporting you to in roundtable and rodrika says "your finally awake" and everything is normal except final is dead ofc and like a normal ending just happened and it wouldnt happen again unless u reach another ng+100 in another save

Makes me wish round table hold was set at a place this impressive and be a safe harbour in all this despair. on a second playthrough pretty understandable tho to skip it
And where is malena?
Now we can devour the gawdz.... TOGEVAAAAA
If it's an hour for every run and it took 200 hours for me to basically 100% my first run of the game, then theoretically you can take longer on your first run than the subsequent 99 runs combined.
rrue
no shit
I also wonder how much time it took to farm to 713 (assuming there wasn't some glitch/cheat involved). I saw a post where someone calculated that it would take roughly 85~ hours of optimal farming to get max level. He'd obviously level up a lot just by playing, but probably only enough to get to maybe 250 or so given how many enemies he skips.
@@BatDad-qu4fo assuming he skips every run as much as this one, earlier on like ng+5 he probably didn't, and yeah just by running through the game a lot and killing key bosses and stuff you can get to probably 400 in less than ng+10 even

And here I am at 88ish hours in, SL65, still NG, finally stumbling around Siofra after exploring all of Limgrave & Liurnia 🤣
It’s crazy how different everyone’s experiences with this game can be. Almost a hundred hours at level 65, and I think at that point I had explored mostly everything and was slamming my head against the malenia wall.
I love how you call this chill this seems more like an unofficial speedrun or practice for a speed run
Exactly lol thank you. How is rushing through the entire game "chill" in any way? This is the most sweaty tryhard video I've ever watched outside of actual speedruns.
@@TheSilentTiger89 how is an elden ring play through sweaty and tryhard lmao

1:14:45 - 1:15:10. When I fought Elden Beast, he repeated these moveset for like 50 minutes, I hit once, it moved away, casted ring, then moved away, I ran up to it, I hit it once, and repeat for hella long time.
Oh shit congrats honestly, you got him stuck in an attack loop. If done on purpose thats a high level speed runner strat. I could never but, it is what it is.
it felt like 50 minutes but it was probably like 3, boss fights in souls games can feel like an eternity when they arent
@Jor Dan idk where you heard this information but bleed builds are still generally stronger, and heavy attack builds probably too with the right setup
actually most ashes of war could probably melt almost any boss with the right setup too, black flame tornado isn't particularly unique it just does that hp% damage which is more noticeable on later NG but still not way too crazy
@@DirtSpud not really, when he fought him (probably 1.03.1/.2) the elden beast AI was bugged

"Oh, you're a hundred hours in? That's super impressive... I'm 100...nevermind"

That whole secret pathway to the double iron maiden bosses... I had no idea what the hell!
Two souls tips for new players that no one ever gives, that this video helped me realize:
-Try to play 'cleanly' meaning don't spam, this is because you can be action queued.
-A lot of attacks, whether from bosses or ads can be dodged hugging and running around them. Especially an overhead attack.
NG+100 is actually way easier than NG+7, as the enemies stop levelling up after NG+7 and you had dozens of playthroughs to level your character up.
the game says that there's 2 ways into Lyndel but i never realised you can come thru Mt Gelmir too
I have way too much fun and get way too distracted to run through the whole game like that. Hell, I take more time in the character create.
I love how you give no F's about any dialogue. Made me laugh watching you speed run through them talking.
Never ceases to amaze me, the timing these dudes have on dodging.
@@poujhn oh shit this would be so sick

same, i've been 100%ing every area as i go through it and i was most of the way through caelid and i gave up, i hate caelid, its so depressing, those giant birds and dogs are annoying af, i cant bring myself to launch the game back to that dreary red landscape and carry on
@@tonyt5711 haha yes but just move on to another area or continue killing all bosses. I made this my goal after finding every item I wanted and going after every boss was so cool. It gave me the feeling that I was dominating.
@@BryTheNiceGuy ik it sounds dumb, but im not really a dark souls type player, only other dark souls game i did was finish ds2 (and i couldnt be bothered killing the duo cats in the dlc, it takes like 5 mins to run there), but tbh, i find elden ring stressful, especially with the open world and my need to 100% every place i go to, i realised i'd just rather watch someone else play it, i got my 50 hours from the game and my moneys worth, im happy with leaving it here as it is
