“however much youre willing to spend babe”
absolute goddess bro
Literally the coolest thing
My wife is the same way 4500 on ny fd2 conversion and 3000 for my paint job lol the wife is just happy to see how much joy we get from it
First order of bizz should be protecting that paint, get it coated. I lived in miami and had a mugen sedan and the clearcoat started to go in less than 3 years.
This is awesome bro! Congrats!
Your daughter is soo cute!!
8th generation honda si are one of the best generations of the Hondas si built besides the 1999 2000 honda si 👍. They will become a classic car one day soon worth a lot of money
Ive had offers of $25,000 for my RSX Type S... These old Honda's are getting super desirable!
@@JonHop1cus they’re fun and raw hard to come by nowadays
@@lowkjoe Indeed.. Love old Honda's! Thats why I have 4 of them!
Just finished painting my 8th gen milano red and did a full fd2 conversion I have 320k miles on the dash I drive 2 hours to work everyday and damm it never gets old just did a k24 swap gave to z3 to my buddy 24 is well worth it really brings out the rawness and power
Cars & Bids is amazing for finding super clean cars like this. Nothing even remotely close to this clean would ever be on FB marketplace in a billion years. You're absolutely right that you got a deal on this too. Congrats!
Never clicked on a vid so fast! Finally an 8th Gen LFGGG!!! There is nothing like a K20z3 it's really the last true performance VTEC motor.
Shutup nerd
Congratulations! THIS is exciting!
Vivian is the coolest person EVER!!! YOU'RE A LUCKY DUDE CAMERON. Tell her I said that. 😊
I used to work at a Honda dealer in 2007. A 2007 Cayenne Red 4 door Civic Si sat on the showroom floor for probably a year and retailed at $22.xk USD. Nobody would buy it, and the Mugen Si sat even longer after that one.
I have worked at the same Honda dealer since 2003 and we also had a brand new Civic Mugen SI. It sat in our showroom for 14 months and we finally gave it away at cost. People just would not pay $30,000 for a CIvic back then.
Man you really got a great deal. Didn’t expect you to find such a clean example and I think you made the right decision with going 8th gen.
Oh wow, so we are getting another Cam Hill road trip! Sweet! Congrats man!
Congrats bro!!! Please make a Cali vlog of you picking it up!! 40K miles what a steal.
What a great find. A clean 8th gen Si is very hard to find and they certainly do hold the value too. For me, 8th gen Si > 9th gen Si simply because of that beautiful K20. Excited for this series!
You can have the car towed to your house cheaper than the fuel cost bro. On top of that, you are going to put a ton of miles on a low mileage car? Think about it
I was there for the bidding it was amazing i just happen to login and check on the listing and it was like 15 min left...well done Cam amazing to be there to cheer you on. Congrats again my man... amazing car!
Cam you kinda messed up throwing a bid 2000 over what the bid was with time still left always wait till the end to start dropping bombs
You're not joking for finding a unicorn. What a grab! Congrats!
you proved me wrong of finding one under 100k i was the guy who messaged you on insta telling you thats a unicorn and you found it easily could of been a 20k car
Bring it to a Honda dealership for inspection and also for them to check the car before doing cross country trip
Even with a 40k milea 8th gen i wouldnt buy it if ita cost more 10k
Definitely worth it man!!! Congrats! People don’t understand how amazing this car is! Excited for the mods!! 👏
That price seems way too high for an old civic.
i hope you keep this car in its stock form for all that lol
right on boy. nice cop on that civic. LIT!!!!
I bought mine for 8k. 23k miles
Could of got a mugen si for that price about
Paid about double what it’s worth.
You wish 😂
Good getting the last true generation Si
way better than any 9th gen 8th gen is the last real si
was refreshing your page hard, since i saw your insta story lol
I think I would have rather paid a bit less for a rsx-s with the k20a2 and used the extra cash after to build the motor.
I never had a 8th gen Si, but I heard they are the best Si ever made. I still want a EM1 civic si as a dream Si
Keep a watch on your clutch pedal, the item will start making sweeking noise.
We just traded for a 2019 SI with 85,000 miles at the Honda dealer I work at. It is black and pretty clean for the miles. Probably going to be asking $21,000 for it. Guy traded it in on 2023 Type R
That car won't depreciate that much, if at all, especially when you consider everything will be trash EVs in the future...people will be clamoring for cars like these in 10-20 years from now.
Who else thinks "iwantthiscivic" was secretly the seller trying to upsell their car?
Most likely.
Why fly to California? I’ve had cars shipped to me before from east to west coast California for $600. Yes I definitely got very very lucky twice. Good Luck 👍
It’s only original once
Got my 8th gen with 130k for 6k. Clutch and power steering is brand new, has typical clear coat failure. Came with Hondata and hybrid intake. Make sure u leave that thing in a garage at all times
You can't even find a stock 9th gen si in this condtition, but i found it. This monday, a 2012 Civic Si with 58,000 orriginal miles full stock will be mine. Lol
I got an 8th gen also, i spent a whole grip on it 😂, so dont feel too guilty buddy! I love my SI my goal is to maintain it to keep it forever. Once you get it, murder it out with tint, i got 5% all around, and i also tinted the windshield 20% the other day. Omg it looks so nasty. Looks like a fighter jet. Definitely tint it and lower it, you’re gonna love it man! Im happy for you. And they are crazy easy to maintain. But when you change the oil, just be prepared to have a plan on getting the oil filter off. The oil filter is located in a really stupid spot! But if you typically go to a mechanic you should be good.!
You are just a big kid 😂
For the people saying it’s not worth it just can’t afford it any Honda with 40k miles is wonderful he can keep this car for many years you definitely have a unicorn you do not find that 8th gen in that condition with that mileage you will definitely get your moneys worth I’m happy for you man I currently have a 2011 fa5 dyno blue pearl she has 213k and runs fantastic I can imagine what a 40k mileage one runs
Hey Cam, I just got a maperformance catted downpipe and was wondering how much louder the cabin noise is I’ve been seeing mixed reviews. Awesome video as always thanks
The 9th gen Si is personally my favorite so I easily would've dropped $15k on one with 40k miles, especially if it's in orange.
That fa5 is easily worth 20k+ with those miles and the overall condition!
I have an 09 si with 235xxx on the dash and it’s still pushing strong. Believe when I say these engines will not die unless you let it
There’s a dude here in pa selling a 08 Honda civic si mugen with 80k miles selling for 14k talk about over paying for a civic
Well, I see it this way, there is a lot of cars out there that are worth a lot now because it’s not about what it might be worth to someone else it’s about the driving pleasure and your relationship with that car like even if you paid $30,000 for that it would be worth it if it was worth it to you, there’s ITR’s out there for like $80,000 and some are like brand new but there is a reason for someone to pay that much, I got my ninth gen for about $16,000, and for a minute, I thought I was paying too much, but honestly, I love the car and I would pay 20,000 for if I had to, everyone wants to be an expert on car prices, it doesn’t matter to me
Doing car stuff becomes so much more fun and easy when you have a supportive partner. Congratulations on your purchase 🎉
My bro has 07 si. Got it new. I’m trying to get it
Am low key jealous. You have the best girl Cam I been trying to convince my wife to let me trade in my Civic for a GT and she isn’t having it 😂
I had a 2007 Si sedan in black I sold in 2011 with 36k. I got $13,900 for it. Wish I still had it.
Stoked for you Cam! Good work. Know what you want and go get it. To all those who say ohhh he overpaid.. well he has the car now and living his dream. Not you.
If you fly out and drive through Tucson on the way back, if it's later in the day or weekend, I'll meet with my BB 2023 Type R and buy your Dutch Bros drink.
I've been watching for years and I don't think I've ever seen you this excited about something dude 😂 Really happy for you, can't wait to see the car
16215, thats pretty good. I thought they be like 10K even with the low miles. new they were like 21K.
Great find - I had an 07 FA5 in Nighthawk Black and it was bar none, the most reliable car I had , and it made decent power all motor too
You just got a nice car. These were low 20s when new. You paid a lot, but you won’t be disappointed. I bought a brand new 2011 FG2 and it was such a fun car.
40k miles is insane though everyone honestly hating don’t understand there’s barely an 8th gen si with that mileage if he wanted too he could sell the engine and trans alone I bet for 6-8k easily
So excited. I have had 2 black sedans. My favorite gen and color. I hope you do everything right and take care of it
Nice purchase, brother! But you have something far more valuable than that car. Don’t lose it
I change my vote to 8th 😂
When Cameron wins, we all win.
Edit - Also, do I smell a LA meet-up event?! 😆
Also good move this definitely has me interested in your channel again! The bra was cool but just not something i was interested in
Best generation honda civic in my opinion
I agree
I know of one that went for just over 5k more with 2100 less miles, so you really didn't pay a lot. Happy for ya! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Viv needs a shoutout for her auction support! Too bad Dad and I couldn’t coordinate our time off
I go 8th gen but you should just do a real k swap civic then you would know your car inside and out 👍🏻
K20 >>> K24. That is a sick deal for how clean it is. The low miles is a bonus.
Congratulations Cam, well bought. You’re right about this being a unicorn - anyone who knows these cars and appreciates them would be lucky to pay what you did. Happy for you man.
I've never even heard of this site and now I'm browsing through lmao. Dangit, I already don't have any money
How can you be happy for 8th gen si after having a FK8
Congratulations Cameron! That was exciting dude. Can’t wait for the new content. The K20 has such an addicting sound. I owned a 2003 RSX Type-S for a few years back in the day.
🤙🏼
Cam! Holy shit you made me nervous! Congrats dude, can't wait to see it on video!
congrats on the car, can't wait to see the videos of you and your dad driving back home.
Bro just seeing your reaction is dope ! I’ve always wanted to do the same lol
Once you went full on 17 with that last bid dude didn’t want to mess with you lol can’t wait for the cross country drive content.
If the paint still has clear coat….this is a steal!!!
I used to own a 07 si coupe wit around 75k milage due to an accident now i have a 15 si sedan I'm happy
I don't know anything about cars and bids, but can someone use a fake account to bid up the price?
Every time you bid, a hold for the 4.5% commission is placed on your credit card. So no, it’d be pretty difficult for foul-play
Absolutely congrats man, genuinely my dream spec 8th gen SI. Got a nice one for sure!
+ really cool to see someone I watch buy a car from an auction site like this, neat to see a perspective from a buyer on there and dude it was intense watching you bid on this thing as if it was me trying to win it 😂
40k mileage si for 16k damn dat was your lucky day good deal
Congrats 🎉 Can't wait to see it love your videos big fan...
Congrats. Don’t mod it and then sell it to me when you’re bored!
Bro you gotta wait to counter bid next time make them think they got it and then crush their dreams
Plz never sell this car bro lmao keep it and the type r for as long as you can
I own and original of a 8th gen sedan si since day one 2010 and it’s my car til I past away. It got me to work for 11 years and now it’s my summer street or highway / track car 👍 still has original k20z N/A. It SCREAMS in v-tec.
Congrats man! Despite what people say about the price, you are getting a gem. 40k mi is NOTHING. Plus the 8th gen has a plethora of aftermarket support. Looking forward to the build. I want one now 😂
Congrats. I'm fighting to find a way to keep my 2010 si now. Insurance considered it a total loss after hail damage. It is crazy how under valued these cars are. Take to the wrong shop looking to rob the insurance company and they may take it from you.
send me pics of the damage on instagram
Congratulations on ur Si. I sold my FK8 sad to say, but I'm going to buy a 2007 civic Si and turbo it.
Loved my 2008 coupe. Great car. Love my type r but those Si's are just such light cars
A dealer would easily try to get 20+ for it. Decent deal!
I'm so happy for you. I been looking for another 8th gen, and it would be my 3rd one.
Vivian's love of cheeseburgers will never get old
No way!! I was obsessing over this car lol. I had a 07 RR FA5 brand new and have always wanted another one so I enjoy looking for nice examples. Excited to see this car on your channel!
congrats on the winning bid. I remember when these car was new release in mid 2005, couple neighbor car guy gather and one guy said "google up the new Civic SI" now realize that was 17 years ago.
Dang I am getting old lmao.
Glad you didn't add that extra zero at $140,000. :)
That wasn't a good deal.. the seller got the good deal.
I think so too. Should be around 13k max
i think it’s a great deal, dudes want 20k for a clapped out si with 140k+ miles
@@otdream5502 wanting 20k or being able to sell it for 20k is two different things.
