Fireworks are in bedrock now. Only issue is that the villagers don’t account for if they’re underneath transparent blocks before setting them off, effectively killing themselves
They do it bedrock too. But...... They do it only when there are no solid block on top of them and this excludes stairs, slabs and glass which are transparent blocks. As most house roofs are made of just stairs, often, they just kill themselves with fireworks inside of their own houses. Lol.
If you accidentally trigger a raid (at least, on Java) then you can just kill off all but the last raider in the first wave, and trap it (drop it in a hole etc). After a while the raid will "expire" if you are not fighting it, so don't panic.
I panicked once because I was fairly new and just started a world. Didn't know a "village" could be my one cured villager. I threw it on peaceful and back again.
I've only taken on 3 raids. The first was on accident at my own "village" where I had a sky highway when I was still on normal. The raid waves always spawned on the skyway. The illagers fell or jumped down to me and took a lot of damage. I was able to shoot the others. I always wondered why they were always up there. Your explanation of trying to spawn on higher areas to avoid caves was a nice "ahah" moment. I failed my last hard raid. I was unprepared. I haven't taken any on since. Maybe one day...
Accidentally spawned a raid on hard at my Iron farm... couldn't find a single Mob Turns out they all kept falling into the lava so my iron farm ended up being full of crossbows, emeralds, and totems of undying 🤣
The level of the Hero of the Village effect determines how much of a trading discount you get, which is 30% for having the effect and 6.25% for every level beyond the first. It doesn't affect the villager gifts, though. Ravagers are basically like iron golems, except a bit faster, hit a bit harder and have a bit more reach. And they don't like plants.
Thanks to the thumbnail on this video I finally see the raid icon is a pillager and two axes, and totally not a pillager snorting smoke out their nostrils.
I always build a 3-wide flowing moat around the village I call home. Each moat leads to a simple 3x3 magma block killing chamber with a hopper minecart running beneath. There are always multiple moats/killing chambers to surround the village so that none of the moats get too far below ground level. If you want to prevent golem damage, you must block line of sight from pillagers (and especially the evoker) in the moats to where the agro'd golems can stand. I build a second ring of fences about 5 blocks inside of the fence that runs along the village side of the moat, which prevents the golems and villagers from getting close to the moat. This system works very well. There isn't much for my character to do but watch the action.
I like to have a base near a village, but it is a bit of a downside, having to be careful to sleep early every night and avoid directly killing captains. I mean I usually sleep to avoid creepers anyway.
To solve this issue, I spammed every 6 blocks with torches, lit up every cave, and walled off the whole village. And if I accidentally start a raid, well, the only thing hostile to villagers that can get in is a vex
@@dtslawyer6970 So, do you stand up on the wall and pick off the pillagers? I do that with mobs from my base. I stand on the roof and collect XP and items to sell if they won't otherwise let me sleep.
@@mackenziedrake I usually go on the outside of the wall and face the illagers head on with a sword and beacon effects (before I blotted out the sky with obsidian). After a while of playing, they’re not that hard to deal with, and honestly melee combating about 10 mobs at once is just more fun (plus I can immediately collect the totems and enchanted books)

It helps keep me on my toes with mobs, gives a unique ambience to the world, and actually makes the Overworld which I turned into the Nether a lot more dark Also because I was bored
I actually skipped right over doing a real raid and built a very simple raid farm. I just hate Vex and am very bad at hitting them so they usually end up killing me XD
I personally prefer holding a totem in the off hand since it can rescue you in other situations like falling, lava and creepers. I only take the shield when I actually need it and use it in the main hand.
The witch actually doesn't attack the villagers willingly. They may be in the zone to be splashed by poison but she doesn't go out of her way to attack them.
I don't think villagers are giving you discounts and gifts for saving them.. I think it's coercion. Like.. "hey fella, next time I might not be here to save you from these mobs mobbing you, you know? Just saying you might wanna drop those prices, or something like that could happen again".
So what's happen If you encounter a raid and you want to stop it: 1. Lure the last pillager of the first wave from the raid 2. Trap it outside the range of the raid. 3. Be outside the range of the raid. 4. Wait 40 minutes untill the raiders will despawn!!

They only do it in Java edition. In Java, the raid reward is the random stuff villagers chuck at you. In bedrock, the reward is all the enchantment books, emeralds, and enchanted gear they drop

You can tear down the structure, but the spawns are tied to that area. It’s like an ocean temple - if you remove the structure, guardians will still spawn there if there’s water. The only way to prevent pillagers spawning is to spawn-proof the area with slabs or whatever.
I just had the biggest unlucky thing happen, we had a few pillagers spawn around our house so we killed them no biggie however we forgot we had this single villager imprisoned next to our house after we killed them. Thus a raid suddenly started to take place AT OUR HOUSE. Me and my friend ended up dying 100 times since mind you we were not ready at all we only had leather gear and some iron at that moment AND THE RAVAGER ENTERED OUR HOUSE AND STARTED TO SPAWN KILL US. So ofcourse we littarly couldbt do anything since we died we lost our iron tools and all we could do was punch but that did nothing at all against them. So it went on for half an hour or idk how long the raids last. And it didn't help either that at the end the vex just kept phasing through our house's walls and killing us along with the ravager. At the end we almost lost and by almost I mean it was the size of a hair that's how much time we had left to kill the last johnny that kept two shotting us both. But we did and we got the achievement but holy heck was it long. Like I thought after the first ravager it would end but a second one came like I don't get how your supposed to do this in a seperate village away from your house since you lose all ur items. At first it was funny since we could them with our gear but after being killed 50 times it started to become annoying. Since most of the times we were fighting with our fists... Anyway idk if it was worth it tbh sicne we lost most of our gear cause if despanw since the ravager and Johnny and evoker kept safeguarding our items so we couldbt get to them since they entered a poace thay we dug out in a straight line with water flowing so all the items were at the end of this hole wwhile they were at the end of the water
Honestly, referring to the upcoming update, the renewability of clay relies on dirt.... I know dirt is everywhere, but it's also generally only a few layers deep, and then unreliably in caves. I don't really like that it means tearing the hell out of the landscape to get a lot of "renewable" clay. :/

Well, one it’s quite expensive, but you have an iron farm so not too much of an issue Second, iron golems aren’t exactly reliable for defending every corner of a village. They’ll get lured to one end, the raiders spawn on another, and then there’s nothing to deal with it. If you want to kill raids while afk reliably, use a raid farm
Hi. I’m on bedrock version and some of my villagers died from rockets that they themselves fired whilst locked in their homes just after my successful battle against the raid to my village. Does this happen in Java edition?
Actually, a higher level of bad omen will not add more waves to the raid (unless you're playing in Bedrock Edition). Instead, the chance for the raiders' weapons to be enchanted is higher.
Sounds like they died by fire damage? I actually have been taking advantage of that with my flame bow. No bad omen for me if the bow kills the captain in one hit. No clue whether that's intentional though
@@MsHalcyon2 I just tested in a creative world and got at least bad omen 3 form 3 captains. It appears that the 3rd and 4th captain I killed in survival died from the fire. Lame.

No, illusioners are an unused mob And the level of bad omen only influences the number of times the last wave of a raid (depends on what difficulty you’re on) spawns
i remember u said u dont like knockback on your sword? yeah the sword in your hand rn is not a god sword anyway, it only has sharp 4 and no fire aspect, consider grinding for a better sword
Fire aspect on swords is not my preference. If I want to light mobs on fire, I use a flame bow. Fire aspect on a sword makes Endermen behave unpredictably, leads to the mobs setting the player on fire, especially if you're fighting a zombie with knockback immunity. Also makes it harder to control the amount of damage you do if you're trying to weaken a mob but not kill it. Sharpness V is of negligible benefit on a Netherite sword; a crit with Sharpness V does 15 damage (7.5 hearts), and no mobs have exactly 15 health; so doing 14.5 damage (7.25 hearts) doesn't really make a difference. Sharpness V is for bragging rights and a barely useful mathematical benefit

@@pradyumnaa9499 i mean, on a smp where pvp is allowed, more damage against players is always better isnt it. pixlriffs is just playing on a singleplayer world where most mobs only have 20 health, and so sharp 4 and sharp 5 are both 2 crits to kill a standard mob. the thing im confused the most is that why kb on a sword? to defend creepers? nah double crit (assuming u know what it means) is a super neat method to kill creepers if people know how to use swords
I mostly have knockback on the sword because that's what it got from the initial enchant. I didn't put it there with a book, but I really don't mind having knockback either way. It wasn't annoying enough for me to reroll my sword enchants at the time.

I really like how the community calls "raids" or "Illager Raids" as "Pillager Raids". And also Raids do expire whenever a raider isn't killed

I think it's kind of odd how Evokers drop totems but they don't respawn as if they had one. It's probably a good thing though.

I've heard that if a fox is holding a Totem of Undying in its mouth, it can use the totem when it would otherwise die. But I've never seen it for myself....

What if I made an iron golem army to kill the raiders (now that I have an iron farm) and just stood afk?

Well, one it’s quite expensive, but you have an iron farm so not too much of an issue
Second, iron golems aren’t exactly reliable for defending every corner of a village. They’ll get lured to one end, the raiders spawn on another, and then there’s nothing to deal with it.
If you want to kill raids while afk reliably, use a raid farm

Hi. I’m on bedrock version and some of my villagers died from rockets that they themselves fired whilst locked in their homes just after my successful battle against the raid to my village. Does this happen in Java edition?
Yes, this can happen in Java Edition as well.

Actually, a higher level of bad omen will not add more waves to the raid (unless you're playing in Bedrock Edition). Instead, the chance for the raiders' weapons to be enchanted is higher.
I recently killed 4 outpost captains but only got bad omen 2. Is this a bug?
Did some of the captains end up getting shot by the other pillagers? I find that happens a lot when I'm fighting them.

Sounds like they died by fire damage? I actually have been taking advantage of that with my flame bow. No bad omen for me if the bow kills the captain in one hit. No clue whether that's intentional though
@@MsHalcyon2 I just tested in a creative world and got at least bad omen 3 form 3 captains. It appears that the 3rd and 4th captain I killed in survival died from the fire. Lame.

i remember u said u dont like knockback on your sword? yeah the sword in your hand rn is not a god sword anyway, it only has sharp 4 and no fire aspect, consider grinding for a better sword
Fire aspect on swords is not my preference. If I want to light mobs on fire, I use a flame bow. Fire aspect on a sword makes Endermen behave unpredictably, leads to the mobs setting the player on fire, especially if you're fighting a zombie with knockback immunity. Also makes it harder to control the amount of damage you do if you're trying to weaken a mob but not kill it.
Sharpness V is of negligible benefit on a Netherite sword; a crit with Sharpness V does 15 damage (7.5 hearts), and no mobs have exactly 15 health; so doing 14.5 damage (7.25 hearts) doesn't really make a difference.
Sharpness V is for bragging rights and a barely useful mathematical benefit

@@pradyumnaa9499 i mean, on a smp where pvp is allowed, more damage against players is always better isnt it. pixlriffs is just playing on a singleplayer world where most mobs only have 20 health, and so sharp 4 and sharp 5 are both 2 crits to kill a standard mob. the thing im confused the most is that why kb on a sword? to defend creepers? nah double crit (assuming u know what it means) is a super neat method to kill creepers if people know how to use swords
I mostly have knockback on the sword because that's what it got from the initial enchant. I didn't put it there with a book, but I really don't mind having knockback either way. It wasn't annoying enough for me to reroll my sword enchants at the time.
