I use toe plates that are a little different but more accurate cause they have logs holes so the plates are always center and your measuring from the center of the tire which also helps with the accuracy. Good video though. Thanks, I’m a new e39 owner and these help alot
M52b28tu to M54b30 is a good idea, there have been a couple of people on the forums that have done this but no videos that I can find. I think in general, the easiest way to do the swap is to change the upper and lower block only, while keeping the M52tu's intake manifold, cable throttle, valve cover. I've also read that M52tu's ECU can support the M54b30 without setting off a SES light. I'm curious to see how it manages Air-fuel ratios and what the power increase would be, considering M52tu's intake manifold is less free flowing that M54's. Looking forward to seeing this swap on your channel, so I can then do the same to my 528i, hahaha
I don’t think there is a true answer to you question. Both engines are pretty similar in reliability, and I don’t see a reason to swap m52tu to the m54 platform for reliability alone. However, if your m52tu happen to give up, an m54 is a decent upgrade
Hey man. I see that u have a 5 series wagon. I was wondering if you have had any problems with the rear speakers. Mine aren’t working at all but it might be from bad bypass wiring. Do u have any idea?
Mine rattle, but I haven't gotten into speaker upgrades yet. I think you need to remove the headliner to get access to the speakers? Could be wrong, but let us know when you figure it out!
To get access to the rear speakers you just need to remove the grills with a flat head screwdriver you will then have the speaker 🔈 , but if there not working then it sounds like you’re „“bypass wiring „“ is to blame the original speakers are not that good but they still work regardless ( if there’s any in)🤣

Is the M54B30 more reliable than the M52TUB28?

You need to clean your glasses, it happen to me all the time and when I clean them, everything is in HD! :D. great work!

In my country, the alignment services only cost about 25 bucks 😁
omg, jealous!
Hey Chris, what is the red degreaser and the blue stuff? Thx.
The red stuff is called Purple Power, and the blue stuff (worked like a charm) was diluted Bleche White! I added some links in the description :)
First thing I do before doing work on an engine is give the bay a good degreasing and washing. I hate working in filth.

BMW specs for 0,1 degrees toe in, because of bushing deflection, it'll become 0 toe once the car is moving.
