Pluto has a Cheers/Frasier channel and I recently saw the Snipehunter episode of Cheers. While this is the episode they all trick Frasier while hunting, it also features Sunny Side of the Street becoming an earwig during the cold open. This and other woven tapestry things the creators did between shows, like Niles playing the Wings theme in one episode of Frasier (yes they also did Wings), is what I find endlessly entertaining as these shows age and we continue to rewatch them. 😊
I loved seeing this! I always liked Frasier, but I seem to have missed several episodes somehow after discovering these on TH-cam. Maybe they were on when I worked nights for awhile? 😕
I thought it was the best episode of the whole show. Niles gets drunk says that he's embarrased of his boys & Martin tells him he was always proud of his sons. ( they say it better)
My favorite line from Marty was when he, Niles, and Frasier had to pick up Daphne on the floor, and he says, "Daphne, I just thought of something funny: it took three Cranes to lift you!". I remember laughing so hard after that line, I was in tears. Lol

At the last minute, Frasier decides to buy the popular toy only to find it is sold out. When Frasier comes home dejected, Marty gives Frasier his Christmas present; and when Frasier opens it, he finds the popular toy.

My two favourites of this compilation have to be the clip where Marty's high as a kite, a show of pure laughs, and the clip where he does the Vegas-inspired number of "Sunny Side of The Street." Pure class, which indeed, should be a reminder to enjoy every day and focus on the good in life.
I was unaware of his passing. I loved his character and his acting ability. He really portrayed himself well as father to two sons who were obviously more like their mother than him. But he was the grounding force. Rest in Peace and Thank You for leaving such a great body of work in this series: Frasier.
Initially I was bugged by the fact that the overdubbed audio in the intro of him singing was way out of key. But then I realised, of course that's exactly how Martin would have sung it too. :)

Mr. Mahoney was such a great actor and I wish I had had the money to see him act on stage a few years back. What a missed chance that was. At least, he left us with his indelible mark on the screen. John M. looked like he was really having a good time when he sang, " On the Sunny Side of the Street." His eyes sparkled. It's a great scene. Loved him as Martin Crane. One of my favorites is when Frasier is talking to Martin about his worries regarding Donny's bachelor party. Martin is responding to Frasier while looking at the girlie magazine Frasier brought home. (Martin says, "Stop moping, it'll all work "ass." and "It's absolutely none of your "boobs." In the context of that scene … very funny. …. PEACE to ALL.
