Just went through this video. Nice for putting the effort through. I'm not sure your suggestion would work though. What's stopping the slider to go further is not the bottom (90degree) part but it's actually the side hole. To make it work, you just need to file the hole so that it doesn't hit the screw early on. The hole to be filed is on the front/sharp blade side of the slider hole. You'll see it when you actually work the lever. Good luck. it's a 3-5 min job.
Your not sure my suggestion will work?...the video clearly shows it worked for me , and numerous other people.. you are saying that it's a side hole that needs to be filed, maybe I missed that part,I'm only human..im not gonna check to see if that's the case because my 1919 zero gaps flawlessly now. I guess now theres two ways to do it with its original slider.. alls I know is that what I did to mines, it worked for me and it worked for others...thank you you for your comment.
@@tubephega That could possibly be what happened. They could have ran out of the 1st ones and now they got new ones we don't know...That screw hole that you're talking about that's that lever screw hole on the slider right?.I've actually filed that screw hole down on some of my other clippers, So that I can have a deeper throw when opening my blades..its more of like an oval shaped hole.
Was cleaning my clipper and the black thing o. Top jumped out where do I place the spring like thing in order to press the whole thing down so I put everything else on.
Hey bro,i don't know if you figured it out yet or not but, Check this video out.. It's under AZ cuts - how to clean the interior of a cordless wahl senior..which is pretty much the same as the 1919 spring and black piece you're talking about..check it out hopefully works for you.
Big A Romero sorry for the late response i learned how to for my trimmer as well thanks for help👌 and just purchased the cordless magic clip swapping each other and both gets used💪🏽
I had a rattling sound on a different clipper before. It ended up being loose screws making the lid rattle..not saying that's what's wrong with yours. But double check every outside screw. And if that's not it, it may be something inside.
Sorry it didn't work for you...without me being able to see what you did it's hard for me to tell you what went wrong or if it still needs more filing down...
Big A Romero no problem. I did file it down quite a bit but it still isn’t zero gapped. I am not sure about filing it down anymore because I don’t want to ruin the piece.
@@josepherny4054 hmmm, yea thats odd...it worked for me and I know it also worked for a few other people..on mine I had to file down and put back quite a few times before it was good.. By chance are you in the San Diego area?..lol,I know chances are slim of you being close to my area.but if you wer I would definitely help ya out with them zero gappin.
@@MrMollywopper1904 Haha no I'm on the other side of the country in NY. I will have to try and file some more. I just don't want to destroy them that's all.
@@josepherny4054 lol yea I knew chances wer very slim..but yea ,its just common sense, you're not gonna file down to wer you just ruin the slide bracket. But you do have to file some metal down..will work best if it's good file.i used a new harborfreight black and gray handle file.and literally had metal shavings coming off the bracket.and that's how files work, it shaves metal a bit at a time .that's why it took me quite a few times taking it off and on..

@@MrMollywopper1904 maybe the 1919 comes with 2 different type of sliders. Eitherway, at least they now know there's 2 ways of getting it done :)

Did that work for you bro?..
Big A Romero yes sir
@@jayccristo8304 glad to hear it worked for you ..
How far down did you file it?
Go to 7:00 and you will get everything you need to know in the next 30 seconds

Thanks for this video! Filing my Blade Slide soon!
Thank you so much for sharing!
I would of payed for this video to be done like a Amazon drop shipping commercial. Fuck.
Watch the video at 1.75x speed or 2x speed. Thank me later!
This video could have been 2-3 minutes.
Yes it could have..I was just taking my time.
maybe put the playback speed to 2x? lol
Lmao😂...but still appreciate the video bruh.
Can everyone just STFU and speed up the playback like for every other video. Lets be grateful he was able to figure it out and not yo dumb ass!😅
OP thank you!! After all kinds of videos, this one has been the most useful, cheapest and convenient!

@@chinito20fam that's right.i knew you'd figure it out..its good to know the insides of your clippers ,not just the outside..right on bro..✌
A long way to Timbarary 😄
increase the playback-speed to 1.5x
Bro I just bought this clipper. It seems to be making a small rattle sound not sure if it's the same with yours?

Check Your Cam Follower And Spring Too
Do you know if the taper 2000 bracket is the same as regular seniors or 5 star seniors so it can fit the wahl 1919 anniversaries??
I dont know if they're identical, but it should be able to fit. If you have both of em ,try swapping them if you're trying to zero gap 1919.
Yea..it fits and zero gaps
How did you trim it down can you use a grinder
I'm sure you probably can... Just have to be very extra extra careful.. I just used a file.
A file, or even a sharpening stone your wife uses for her knives. Anything that has grit for metal. Even sandpaper.
Omg is this video in slow motion
Veee Zeee 2X speed?
