Solid list. I agree with most all of the placements. I’ve been really pleasantly surprised by Tamayura. The deck feels crazy good with just 1 wave of support plus older stealth units.
would be funny if the next vanguard tier list started with a very long explanation of bavsargra regardless of her tier placement to please the comment section

Good video Monkey. Thank you for giving in-depth explanations for most of the decks on the list as a lot of people approach tier lists with the wrong mind set and are just looking for confirmation bias.
To anyone else reading this, a little advice, when looking at tier lists, take everything with a grain of salt. You should go into tier lists with the intention of gathering info and varying perspectives to gain a more fundamental understanding of the decks and more importantly the game's mechanics and with that knowledge you can make your own informed decisions.
Also consider the importance of a local, region's, etc's meta. In JP for example, it is more common to go up against rush decks so a turn 4 deck might be too slow for the format there.
Representation is also important for the same reason. When there is a clear best deck, it is more likely to be played as tournaments become more competitive which means that playing a strategy that counters that deck is not a bad meta choice, for example if Tamayura was the best deck, then playing a deck that remove the cards they want to put back in the soul by effect like drajeweled could be a good pick whereas a strategy that allowed them to constantly replenish the twins in the soul by guarding with them would perform more poorly.

Herminia is a bad joke, I also got her and I wish she gets a better beater for her restand than the awkward on hit draw give "other" unit 5k power boost. (Really appreciate the content you do for our community as well best of luck on your channel growth)
this game is pretty underated tbh
man honestly when Alestiel first got revealed in set 1 i thought she would be terrible, she wasn't the best but not as bad as i expected. And when set 2 dropped she got a whole lot better and consistent but yeah your right it needs to see pieces, so here's to hoping she would either get draw power or superior callers for black wings.
Flagburg seriously needs that promo.
Though the way how I pilot the deck, low numbers are not usually a problem for me.
Damn that sucks. I've been thinking of getting into overdress, but seeing that in Top level is basically just 2 decks being fiends and 3 other decks trying to barely dance with them. Having a decent amount of B tier is nice since they might get to A tier or S tier given the support.
I"ll just see how the meta shifts in a set or two. Or when Revol Dress appears.

Disagree with Baro being B tier. It’s A tier for sure. It very strong and has been performing very well.

wonder how will they support the dual nations decks, i think rorowa got an order promo in the japanese livestream but still hoping they get good generic stuff in the main sets to challenge upcoming decks. (would be a shame to leave them in the dust since they are pretty swell)
I just hope that they will still get support. All of the ridelines have so much potential and it would be a shame for it to go to waste.
Greedon support is also verryy cb heavy. Kinda hard to do combo with bubetsu and the other gr2 that call from soul when placed hand to create more possible attacks

Eugene benefits a lot from the rr Raptor in set 5, giving him an insane early game rush (talking about 35k+ atacks from turn 1 g1 onwards)
You have to run so many g1s that it's going to make a Luard/Claret player jealous, though
Never played Vanguard but these designs are really starting to sell me on it, I feel like I'd have a hard time finding anywhere to play it locally so are there any online communities or simulators? (like YGOPro/EDOPro) Also, are there any tutorials regarding the game and it's mechanics?
There's a new online game comming out for it. And there's an online simulator called cardfight area, but I'd just wait for the new game. Oh also you can play the mobile game cardfight zero

Hey man, on your wixsite website, that article you made for "which overdress deck is for you", it's wonderfully made, and gave a lot of good advice and recommendations....
Question: Would it be possible to update it with the new decks that just recently came out in D-BT05?
I would love to but bushiroad is adding in new decks at such an insane pace it's just not worth it for me to do. At least for the next few sets
@@MonkeyFightTCG gotcha.... Nah all good, I understand. I think Bushiroad may have realised that the reason that V-premium stuff is still good is because literally hundreds of decks, while standard still has pretty small number, not enough space for unique deck building....
Off-course that is also due to the fact that most decks they created have a very rigid deck structure of cards that must be in there for the deck to work ... Which I kinda find stale as a result.
I mean, for example, when you play against a Bavsargra or Tamayura or even Bruce or Kairi and etc. player, you know exactly how their deck is built, plus minus a few tech options like 5-6 cards, but that's it.
In V-premium I kinda feel that there's A LOT OF FLEXIBILITY.
But that's just my thoughts. Yeah, a lot of new decks kinda feel like half finished instead of thought through.... But that just may be me 😅
As someone who never played Overdress before Dear Days came out now I understand why my starter deck just shits on the CPU (Seraph Snow) and apparently just shits on everyone except Magnolia users in competitive.
Also I was unhappy with the lack of Hexorb and Eugene support. I hopping set six give these deck some needed cards.

Hey is Vanguard a good fun card game? I saw some decks at my local card shop but didn't get it. Looks interesting but holy shit some cards are just walls of texts i've never seen. But i wanna know if it's worth it. I love collecting and playing many card games.
It's onen of the best casual card games. I love the diverse playsyles in the game. Also it doesn't hurt that the game is cheap as well.

Overlord is better than the friends deck. I play both. With the friends deck you have a full field to use her restand skill. With overlord you get 1 free pg and 1 free grade 2 rear guard. You don't need a full field to restand him so that means your field and Hand is more flexible. The rear guards of overlord have strong power and 1 can search your overlord and if you don't find a overlord then you get your counterblast back. If you ride on the end you have 4 drive checks and thats a lot.
Most of the decks will get stronger by next sets.

Seems like the insanity of the mega tier list of another card game made you make a couple mistakes in this video. Don't worry, more sets are on the way so this video will be outdated anyway, not to mention we probably will get the same restrictions like in Japan too.
Keep up the good work, hopefully Zorga gets more order cards in the upcoming set that can take advantage of his retrain form.
They really have to give Feltyrosa a grade 4 in the next set. She just feels like a worse Kairi but if Kairi was locked into running ghosts, had to pay a heavier cost, and had to depend on stacking the top of deck/RNGing units off the top of deck.
I feel that. I love the decks concept but she needs more to really show up in the competitive scene. At least she's super fun to play casually.

Baro's higher, I will prove this on Saturday when I go spring fest London, Baro yeah it's slightly inconsistent but defence checks don't kill the deck as bad as mag for example, it's actually good on defence late game if the player is smart, times I have gone first grade 3 turn with 5 damage, not ideal but I can work with it and add pg's or fronts to hand, I'll come back with my London wins to loses. I will say it has the best use of the best counter charger in D being selfish engraver, that card is godly same with the card that puts units back to deck
with the new decks Kheos is the worst in my opinion, by the time you hit 13 if you are lucky to hit it first grade 3 turn it only gives 4 units 10k, now yes it says all rear guards aka five but you boost the vanguard and by order of effects your booster doesn't the 10k, and the pressure isn't good enough even with a restander you lose at the end of the turn, Eugene is good if the player is good, powerful is bad maybe it's worse than kheos, MLB i'm not too sure to be honest
D - i mostly agree but overlord should be C, now we have 4 players at locals who are doing very well, it's over the top drive checks hit's the ot more than you'd think and it's good skill to shuffle bad cards out of hand for other cards is good, Orfist can go C as the restander can be deadly with a crit, Willista is much better buuut yeah maybe it's still D.
c - Flagburg defo is C-B, it's topped consistently. Sucks Bav has dropped but I agree
S - i'd put prison in A because it's inconsistent, you don't hit purelight, you lose, you get rushed, you probably lose. Now mag is the best deck in the game, I have done locals with Mag and I have come first every time, now I cannot prove this but mag is stupidly consistent, yeah you miss grade 4 you lose buuuut i's draw power is amazing
When you boost the booster's power is consistently added to the boosted unit. So with Kheios skill the 10k power boost to the vg booster will also be applied to Kheios. Now Mikani on the other hand is the one I just dont get at all because he only stands after vg attack, meaning his first attack will definitely not get the power boost. This is puzzling because kheios is still a bad deck even if mikani synergies well with it, but bushi decides that kheios isnt being screwed hard enough.

@@SparkShadow212 ahhhh, springfest London I actually got top 8, only lost 2 games, one to overlord over triggering me and another to Loro who just had all their pg's in hand. Then top 8 I lost to magnolia because mag went first and they were broken at the time.
Now Leeds bcs I have to admit I was melted. Went 2-0 then fought gravidea twice and got ot'd by them both

Dropping 2 tiers? She has replacements for Inlet pulse including Prized Trident and the g2 dragon. Her match up against Prison will be harder, but she won't drop below tier 2 tbh

I'd say Baro is A tier. Also Baro doesn't lose to defense check that much like you think, unless they get about 3 Triggers or higher.
Well thats not the issue. The issue everyone just has more guard in general. And now every deck can hit baro a lot harder than before. Baro is still a solid deck just not as overwhelming.
Okay but we all know Bavsargra is SSS tier
The pressure isn't just okay, it's great, 4 attacks that are at least 30k power and the crit pressure from PBO himself, not to mention the toolbox you use
Also retire 1 essentially ain't too bad
If retiire one ain't to bad then eugene is meta. But honestly 4 attacks isn't enough to keep up with overdress's top end.
@@MonkeyFightTCG I meant you retiring 1 from your own board. Also as for how it deals with top meta, with magnolia and bastion, you wanna rush it before it reaches elder and prime respectively. With prison also the same thing but you also can go for a minimal resource usage build (which is what I myself am going for) and use the prison to your advantage so you have a leway against prison.
Disagree with Prison being any good actually, not even S tier. The only region it showed up is NA, nowhere else really. The G4 on its own is the best G4, but only if you consider it in a vacuum. The crit pressure can be played around, the deck doesnt really do anything, good players just plan ahead with their resources and go 5 dmg as soon as they can. Top 3 should obviously be Mags-Gravs/Kairi-Baromagnes. Putting Barom so low is a bit silly.
