It is so cool to see such authentic sailing showing all ups and downs without sugarcoating anything. Keep up the great work! :) Have you thought about making a boat tour video?
Hey great series of videos. I did a couple of Atlantic crossings back in my 30's in my ketch Saorsa with a crew of friends. Your videos really brought back a lot the feelings I had in those passages. Like catching a fish and enjoying something fresh to eat. Also the feeling of waiting for wind, keeping a small reserve of diesel, and knowing we weren't going anywhere if the wind didn't pick up. Not a great feeling. The annoyance of boats not responding to VHF calls and thinking: "Here is this huge ocean and now I have to alter course because somebody is not paying attention". Fishing boats were the worst culprits. Finally, the joy and exhilaration of landfall. The joy at pulling it off and the immensely attractive idea of a hot shower then a long, solid sleep. I lived on Saorsa for 7 years and enjoyed the hell out of it till I met a girl in Spain. Then it was time to "swallow the anchor" and raise a family. Thank you for bringing back some great memories and congratulations on your passage.
Wow! I binge-watched the whole 3 series. Your adventure diary was just so authentic. There were parts of the videos that got me worried about you. I know it took for you real mental focus not to panic. This is by far the best vblog of authenticity without all the crazy edits, filters, loops & hoops. Keep it real! I appreciate your sailing adventure. I did a solo 2 months, during covid shutdown, of traveling, camping, & hiking adventures to places I've never been to in the middle of nowhere. Speak for yourself lol
Congratulations Garrett! Thanks so much for taking us along with you on your amazing journey. You did such a fantastic job that I felt like I was on that boat with you! One of the best TH-cam videos I've ever seen!
You are such a strong minded man at such a young age, that journey was epic I couldn’t stop watching it, thanks for sharing🤙🏻
I love to camp and understand what it's like to be alone, surviving off what you brought for a couple days. This is a whole other level! Astounding series in my eyes.
Very impressive. Watched them all without skipping a beat. I would have loved to see you docking the sailboat and reflecting on the journey.
Glad you made it across safely! You’re a legend ! Enjoy Tahiti 🤙🏾
Is this Bronson the mechanic?
You're an inspiration to all of us. Good job man!
Dude you’re an absolute legend for this. I enjoyed watching this a lot. So glad you made it safely. Cheers
Doldrums must suck, totally understand the reasoning behind engine use. Wont last long. Good luck, you’re an amazing young man. Wow.
Simply put, epic. You have the balls to do what most of us only dream about.
Garrett your living the best life ever. I'm proud of you. Enjoy the cultures and spend as much time as you can with these great people.
what a great series! so raw and real...I definitely felt like I was on the boat with you and could feel that tiredness & joy through it...kudos for making the long journey man! cant wait to see more of it...
Watched these all in the same night, excellent series !
This looks so fun but scary as hell at the same time
I really enjoyed these and was amped once you saw land for the first time in damn near a month. Truly a grand adventure, thanks for bringing us along with!
Damn you weren't lying about the doldrums being calm. Water was like glass!
Congratulations! These will be memories you’ll have to share with your kids and grandkids someday. Cool
It will always be on TH-cam. You’re a special kid, keep up the good work and spread the love of adventurous spirit to all. Love Chris Duvall. Pe teacher. Oregon
Anyone else gonna mention how this dude fearlessly just jumps off his boat into the middle of the ocean?
I was absolutely ENTHRALLED by your trip and attitude. Truly built different. Wish I had the drive and determination you showed here.
Wow man this is incredible. I’m the same age as you and wouldn’t dare to do this. I usually can’t watch long videos with multiple parts like this but this had me watching every second. Mad respect bro.
I just watched all 3 parts in one sitting, halfway through this last one and I was SOOO ready for you to make land. I can't even imagine how glad you were. Congrats man, this was truly amazing. 👏
What a dream. Thanks for sharing your adventure.
Great adventure by a real brave young man. I'm impressed with his skill and coolness. Only disappointment was we didn't see the first person greeting him when he stepped foot on Tahiti!
My boyfriend saw this and immediately clicked on it, we watched all three- gotta say man this is an amazing journey to watch and feel a part of! 🤙🏼
Yay! Part 3 is finally here.
Love from Japan!
Hey Garrett buddy, glad you checked in with us !!
Good to see the wind 💨 picked up .
God be with you Garrett and thanks for sharing your killer journey 🤙💪🌺⛵️
This serie was amazing, I just had a couple of drinks watched the whole thing without skipping and you're amazing. Incredibly genuine, inspiring and humble. You should be proud of all the hard work you put into making this happen! Oh, and eat better next time! You need all the neutriants you can get out in the sea, especially at your age. :)
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the series.
Hey garrett! I love your videos! I'm a sailor myself and did an ocean crossing on onw of those training vessels and cince then i started maritime school and now im on a big commercial anchor handling/fire fighting vessel and i absolutely love it. In every video i just keep gaining more respect for you, not just the sailing part but especially the mental part. I understand how hard it must be not seeing a human being for suck a long time and just you and your toughts! Youve been a big inspiration to me! Thank you for your beautiful video's
Congratulations on getting to Tahiti. What an achievement. To be at sea crossing the ocean for 30 days all by yourself. You're brave man, really courageous.
Seeing you keep your confidence and not buckling under being stressed is really inspiring.
amazing feat at 19 yo no less, massive respect I've just binged your whole sailing passage, please consider continuing creating TH-cam content of your adventures! Subscribed
Takes alot of guts to travel across the ocean by yourself. Massive respect. Great Job!
This series was so good! I am 33 and feel so under-accomplished after watching this! 😂
Fascinating! Congratulations on this feat! You should be so proud of yourself. 👏🏻
Keep it up man! These adventures are awesome and I really appreciate the more raw, unfiltered, realistic footage rather than campy, supercut, clickbaity nonsense. Makes it feel much more real and like I'm there. Good stuff man! Looking forward to more sailing adventures from you. Catch more fish out there!
I totally agree! Such a pleasure to watch. And yes at one moment I had a feeling
there was a storm coming in my direction 😊
I'm not sure why this was recommended to me but I watched all 3 parts. Good stuff man 👍
Congratulations Garrett! You are one fine sailor. Anchors away!
Babe wake up, Garrett’s new adventure just dropped…
Loved this series. Can’t wait to live vicariously through you. Life is an adventure, keep going! Bev
