I own this REH BS4 and and here are my takes on it ... It has both +ves as well as -ves.
+ Best riding comfort in this segment.
Very good mid range power due to it's torque.
Very good suspension.
Long stroke engine

GearBox is really screwed.
Overheating (Expected in all such high end bikes. I felt more heat when I was riding a 2016 Triumph Bonneville StreetTwin)
Pressure in Fuel tank after riding some KMs.

Its a long stroke engine, thats why its power rating is too low compared to other 400cc bikes. But Long stroke bikes are better for long touring and cruising. In the case of himalayan, it delivers both low end and high end torque very effectively on roads, അത്കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ ഓഫ്‌റോഡിൽ വണ്ടി കയറ്റം കയറാൻ low end torque മാത്രം മതി...its good for an explorer, who finds very tuff routes to travel.... 500cc below ബൈക്കുകളിൽ suspension best ഹിമാലയൻ തന്നെ....

Using Himalayan from 7 months. Didn’t had any kind of issues . I did maintained break in period upto 3.2k kms . Used in highways ,off-road ,and in extreme traffics. Now i can say my motorcycle is 💯 % healthy ❤️it’s sounds good(no other engine noises) good performance,overall i got 30 kmpl of mileage.in love with suspensions⚡️enjoying rides

⚫Service interval is at 5000kms
And oil change is at every 10000kms.
⚫Free service with Oil change is around rs 1150rs.
⚫Mileage can vary around 25kmpl-35kmpl.
Normal road use with proper gearshift anu enkil you will get 31-33kmpl.
⚫ Engine heating is a big problem. You can feel the heat getting into your legs. 😬 Even while cruising for 20mins in highways or in 2mins of city ride.
⚫and bike nalla heavy aanu and can feel the weight because of it's height. Off road okkea pookumbol bike Oru side.illot charinal it's hard to keep the balance. Off road Steep climbing okkea bike ninnal.. brake pidichal nilkulla..front tyre skid aayi thare ethum!.
⚫It have a CEAT dual purpose tyre with has larger grips, but the tyre lacks braking efficiency on road. It tends to lock up quickly. Rear brakes have good bite while front brakes are not that good in emergency situations.
⚫Change the stock dual purpose tyres to street tyres. You will get the confidence to corner and brake effectively.

A friend of mine who owns the 'first version' of Himalayan told me, conebolt gets damaged very frequently and rear tyre(stock) is not worth it, coz it wears out within 10k kms.
Bro ഞാനും ഒരു Himalayan owner ആണ് വണ്ടി എടുത്തു ഒരു 7-8 മാസം കഴിഞ്ഞ് ആണ് ഈ വീഡിയോ ഞാൻ കാണുന്നത് . പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന കര്യങ്ങൾ ഒക്കെ പക്കാ ആണ് ഒരു രക്ഷേം ഇല്ല. ഓരോ Himalayan owner um പറയാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന കര്യങ്ങൾ തന്നെ ആണ്. എന്റെ വണ്ടി abs ആണ് അതോണ്ട് വെല്യ കുഴപ്പം ബ്രകിങ്ങിൽ feel ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല but not always the best there are many drawbacks.
കാട്ടിൽ പോകുമ്പോൾ കുതിര പുറത്ത് പോകണം എന്നാൽ അല്ലെ ഒരു ഇത് ഒള്ളു....

Himalayan is cheapest off roader at present but still they have issues like gear box ,chasi paint coating is poor ..Except this issues Himalayan is good for south indian roads..
