Hey everyone, I know it’s been awhile so I thought what better topic to cover than the legendary 80 series since I had a poll going since the start of lockdown during march 2020. So why not fulfill the promise by doing a topic which can last a few weeks. This is Part 1 of 7 video’s I will be uploading to TH-cam on a weekly basis for the next week detailing the 80 series in a very detailed walkthru from history (like this video)to drivetrain video 2, 80 series market variants and specs in video 3, 80 series generations in video 4, JDM special editions in video 5, 80 series racing in video 6 and finally optional accessories in video 7 the final part.
This video covers video 1 which entails the story of the development of the 80 series land cruiser.

We have two third generation 4Runners with over 300,000 mile on them. They are daily drivers and they are just like new. A SUPER dear friend of ours gifted us their 80 series Lexus LX450 with the triple lock option. She has over 500,000 miles on her and she is absolute ROYALTY. This is how all trucks should have been built. She is not just a vehicle but rather she is an adventure and an emotional experience. Mechanical class, character and personality. Tough, dependable, reliable and continuously going up in value.

I've had FJ40's and 80's, and they're both the best at what they do, but I can't believe any story about the development of the FJ80 that doesn't begin with the contemporary Range Rover as a target.
