Trying a 2nd time around. 1st time....the diamonds were various sizes. Just wanted to say....your step by step instructions are straight forward .... including the measuriing. Will keep you posted.
Thanks for your comment, I appreciate both your kind words, and sharing your experience too. I've actually been thinking of making another one myself. Yes please keep me updated on your progress, I admire your spirit of trying again to perfect your work. Thanks for your writing about your experience, have a wonderful joyful day. I have found part of a tree root on the beach that has a really interesting design and nice color from being sun bleached and I am wanting to carve some designs into it. This video is exactly what I needed. Can't wait to get started. 😁
Thank you for your kind comment, I wish you all the best with your project, and if you have questions, leave them in the comments and I will do my best to explain anything
I don't like the "MACHINE" look either. there are walking sticks made in Waco, Texas that for the most part, are nice but, they have the factory look so, I don't buy one from them . What you are doing is not as easy as it may seem and takes time!
Ridiculous!! I wish I had that much time on my hands to do absolutely nothing and explain nothing, good Lord. I wanted to learn a little something about walking sticks but after just hearing this n the background i want to throw up.
Thank you for your comment, can you explain what you mean by ridiculous and nothing explained? This is a 6 part video series which is very detailed, what was missing that you wanted to learn? I show how to carve the stick using a chisel and dremel. Which bit made you want to throw up and why?
The dude is making a walking stick and it's a fucking six part series. Explain how a 6 part series explains nothing? If you seriously never learnt anything from this, then you are seriously stupid, like seriously. If you are gonna chat shit and slam someone for spending time to show you something that you cant comprehend, atleast answer the mans questions about how you thought it was ridiculous.
How to make a wood Celtic Walking stick detailed videos using chisels and a dremel. Great project to make for hiking for yourself or as a gift.

You are welcome, I am so pleased you enjoyed the tutorial, all the best with making a stick, I'm sure you will have fun. Thank you for your comment.
I would suggest using two pieces of tape that are side by side. this will keep your spacing. Remove one piece and mark the wood.
What is the multiple for a dowel of 1.5 diameter? How do you determine multiple for different diameter dowels?.
Great job
This is so relaxing to watch and can not wait to try my hand at making something similar! Thanks for tips 👍🏼🙂

How and/or why did you know, or how did you know that "x3.5" part?
a^2+b^2=c^2
You're not really explaining how you get the angle to keep yours Diamond straight down the staff instead of becoming off center
Do these support heavy people? Reason I ask because I have a friend who is heavy set and he aaked make him one.
Use a thick enough stick and don't carve too deeply into it should be fine
I knew this was going to be a long video when it took over 20 minutes to put tape on a stick.
Where did you get the oak dowel rod?
i bought it from the hardware store. They have many thicknesses, some people use the thick ones like i am using for curtain rods.
