Hi there, I too am looking into getting into this hobby. I was wondering what pencils you use exactly? From what I can tell they look like Faber Castell but what type exactly? I am having a hard time trying to figure out what ones I am needing to buy. Nice custom by the way, I hope my own will turn out half as good as yours.

I know that I need Water colour pencils I just have been doing lots of looking around and different places give different water colour pencils Derwent etc. But when I search for these brands I get different packings and the like. If I get Faber Castel pencils do I get the regular ones in the red cardboard packaging or do I buy the ones in the tin packaging. If I buy Derwent pencils do I buy the ones with the white packaging with the fish on it or the one with the dark blue packaging. And then with the Derwent there are also inktense versions. I'm really at a loss on what is fine to use and what it not. I don't have a tone of money to go trying different brands. I just want to buy one brand that I know will be good, you know what I mean?
The styling of your dolls are amazing. What size eye ships did you use on your Frankie custom (from your other vid)? And what did you use to cover up the hairplug holes with, to get a smoote skalp?
A lot of customizers do this, but there's no mention of you doing it - do you seal your dolls before/after doing the faces? I, myself, am trying to customize my own dolls, but I'm too young for work, and the most commonly used spray is expensive from where I can get it. I have blank dolls and watercolors, but I'm afraid of the colors smudging without at least an on-top sealant.
Seal before, during the process and after, several times, otherwise it just won't work. Maybe try with acrylics, there's no need to use sealant. Hope this helps!
Very gorgeous work! Its a shame people pay a arm and a leg for the original goofy versions when they should be buying your remakes! Think the creators need to learn from you

I usually don't like when ppl put lashes on the dolls. To me it just takes away from the faceup but, the way you did it was nice.

Hello, thank you ! The eyes are 12*8 , The holes on the scalp I filled with hot glue.
