    I got a 1974 Lakewood County air box fan, it is more powerful than Lasko and has metal blades. My Lakewood is in avocado green and is quite quiet on low speed and becomes noisy on high speed. It also scares my dog because of the crazy air flow but in summer it is the second thing you want next to air conditioning.

      What a beautiful fan the Lakewood in avocado is. Great buy!

      +RIZKNOWS. Thanks Jeff, I wish! Maybe someday. This video is gonna have a long SEO tail. Hopefully Lasko sells this exact fan for 20 more years. 🙋

    Got a lasko box fan marked down to $8.97 last week. Have it in the window to pull hot hair out. Also have a high velocity lasko fan with a blower motor that really pushes air.

    I accidentally drop my 20" Lasso fan and one of the blade/leaf was/?broken. Where can I buy a replacement for the fan blades?

    • @OneCheapEric
      @OneCheapEric  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@NiloSantaAgueda I did the same thing. I couldn't find one online that was cheaper than buying a new fan. It's the way of the world. If you can source it, you do have the option to take a blade off an old broken (not the blade) fan.

    The worst part about Seattle is that swamp-cooling doesn't work there due to the high relative humidity. I use a twenty-inch box fan to vent air and a Windcurve to help bring in more fresh air from a window that currently has two large frozen bottles of water sitting in a hotel pan of tap water. Barely helps. I dream of the day I have 135USD to blow on a shitty little window air conditioner.

    • @OneCheapEric
      @OneCheapEric  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +panedrop Seattle-bros. I hear that man. I want one of those R2D2 looking ACs that you drape the hose out the window, but can't rationalize it. Talk to me again in late August though :)

    • @JessicaLZ
      @JessicaLZ 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dude. The window AC units are boss. I haven’t had as good of an experience with portable AC units. They are a pain to clean and move around, and don’t make the room as cool for how bog they are.

    Hi; as a window mounted fan, would it pull air from an opposing window that is 30 feet away? I'm thinking no. Thanks

    • @OneCheapEric
      @OneCheapEric  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's pretty strong. I think it'd get some cross breeze going. I just stood 15 feet away with it on full blast and could feel it. I can't test 30 feet unfortunately, my apartment is too small. Best of luck in your search for the perfect vortex.

    • @ahuruglica
      @ahuruglica 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you pull out air from one window with this fan and you have another window open, even if it’s in another room, it will pull air in.
      Because the pulling out air will create lower pressure in your house, air has to be pulled in from somewhere else.

    Just get 3 of them, put air filters on 2 of them and set them to take in air, then put the 3rd of the other side of the house blowing air outside. Who needs AC when you have a cool summers breeze, and dust free at that.

    • @OneCheapEric

      @OneCheapEric I’m actually dealing a housing that holds a lasko fan, 2 20x20x4 merv 13 filters, and a thin washable pre filter to extend the life of the more expensive merv 13s, it should provide lots of airflow while also forking the air to a near HEPA level. You definitely wouldn’t have to worry about smog or pollen.

      Crystone I think so. This fan runs off a 120 volts at 60 Hz. Doesn't Germany do something like 220 volts at 50 Hz. I'm just guessing though. Lasko customer support would know for sure: 800-233-0268.

      Well, Mostly i have a ceiling fan collection.
      I have a 2009 Galaxy Bix fan surprisingly running to this day fine. but my much better get was a 1990s Lasco Box Fan, Older cabinet and badge etc. $2 at habitat.
      i do want to get a lasco new box fan to try it out, and if it dies, roof food.
      i also have a couple antique/vintage desk fans, including a Zero, Super Electric, GE, Robbins and myers, etc.

    Ok , you Lasko fan peeps . Do you situate your fans in the window to pull cool air into your house OR , do you set it to push the warm/hot air OUT of your house ?? I want to hear some input . I've tried both but want to hear your experiences.

    • @OneCheapEric
      @OneCheapEric  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      If you have a house I say one pushing air in and one pushing air out is the way to go. Opposite sides of the house. You're in breeze city.

    But an old Lakewood box fan from the 1980's or 1990's would be better, I see some that comes with the original box go for $50 minimum and $130 max.
