I have a 13 (3.5L SEL)Taurus the wrench light would come on and the car would stop accelerating, and when I try to rev it won’t. I have to turn off and then n the car it would do it whenever i accelerate too fast or try to gain too much speed
I got a 2016 Ford flex AWD non Ecoboost. When it's cold after sitting overnight. The engine revs but won't move then the RPM jumps and the car slams into gear and runs. Only happens when cold and the transmission works fine when warm. Also has a shutter at 40 mph. What should I check to fix this?
Hi. If the fluid isn't burnt smelling, you can try replacing the solenoid pack, the TSS and OSS sensors (behind the valve body) and when refiling the transmission afterwards, add a tube of lubegard shudder fix. Once again only try this if the fluid doesn't smell burnt and isn't deep black in color
I have a 13 (3.5L limited) explorer and it has a issue shifting from second to third gear, every other gear is fine. When accelerating really slow it does not do it but when normal accelerating it does it, do you think it can be the throttle body? I was reading that it might be the throttle position sensor that is built into the throttle body.
You can clear the code and may not come back for a while. Up to you. It usually means theres an issue which will come back again eventually. Maybe a day. Maybe a month
@@BigBensCarsAndCycles thanks for the response! I was able to disconnect the sensor and the negative from the battery and i think it reset the system. The code went away at least. Ill keep an eye on it

It may be a shift solenoid but it's hard to say without driving it myself
Does it help to reset it or does it usually mean its toast when you get that error message?
