  • A narrated walking tour thru the National Harbor's Waterfront District in Maryland. Located just a 20 minute drive from the center of Washington DC, the National Harbor is a really neat entertainment district with 160 shops, 40 restaurants and eight hotels, as well as multiple entertainment venues and options for water-focused adventures. The most notable attractions are the Capital Wheel Ferris wheel, the MGM Casino, and the Gaylord Hotel and convention center.

    The Metro Bus NH2 runs from the King Street Train station in Alexandria to the Harbor and the MGM Resort. Its on a 1hr schedule.

    I used to live in Alexandria, VA before moving to OC, CA. I came back to visit National Harbor during MGM construction and this great video brings back lot of memories to my old hometown. Thanks Chris.

    I’ve been to DC on a number of occasions, mostly on job assignments. Once I even lived in the Georgetown neighborhood for 6 months, but I’ve never been to the National Harbor area. What a cool place to visit! It just went into my bucket list of things to do, during my upcoming trip to DC.
    Thanks for sharing, Chris.

    I stayed at the Gaylord a few years ago and it's unique in a way that the room balconies face the inside of the hotel, into the grand courtyard - really cool! Also the Air Force one museum is there, it's a full size version of Air Force one you can go into and look around in, but it was closed when I was there

    Much better than the wharf; easily spend over an hour just walking and gazing without noticing earlier today !

    Hi Chris. Thank you for the wonderful walking tour of the National Harbor area. How lovely to have the middle path lined with the beautiful trees to break up all that concrete buildings. I also love the statues around the area, but I especially ;love the statues honoring the personnel of the various military branches.This is a very nice place to relax. Thanks again and take care.

    This is amazing and cool! Yesterday it was independence day 🇺🇸 and I wished this country a better place. I do watch videos about the capital and it's epic.

    Thanks for this video. I noticed Mahogany Books. That's on my list to visit when we're there. Nice to know exactly where it is. Also thanks for the Collab with TripHacks DC. I've become obsessed with the info he provides. Great stuff.

    Chris I love watching your videos about places I don't get to visit very often like Vegas and Japan, but it's also nice to see you cover some familiar sights in a place in my neighborhood 😂

    I didn't visit the naitonal harbour when I was in DC but this place looks really cool, also very clean and well organised (noticeably no homeless as I've noted a lot over on the West Coast).

    I've been to National Harbor quite a few times! It is great to see that there are still a lot of restaurants and stores which are still there (I was last there in late December 2019). Although I never went inside it, I see that the Peeps store is no longer there. I've stayed at the Gaylord a few times. It is quite a nice hotel especially when attending conventions held there, but the resort fees make it expensive!

      @YellowProductions  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah. I've never been inside the Peeps store either. It is kind of a bummer that it's gone because it looked cool for sure 😎

    I was a little perplexed for the first minute or so because I initially thought (for some odd reason) that you were visiting the Inner Harbor in Baltimore! I actually wasn’t aware there even WAS a National Harbor in DC!

    • @YellowProductions
      @YellowProductions  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're not the only one that thinks that way :)

  • @mullerrich
    @mullerrich 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Many people thought of the Inner Harbor as the national harbor because of the National Aquarium in Baltimore, although there at least used to be a National Aquarium in DC.

    At 2:28 you went past the 'frustated gardener' on his big tortouse. The origional is in the Boboli gardens i Firenze (Florence) Italy, and it will give you years of luck if you rub his belly...
    I'm still waiting for my luck!
