The city of Washington DC was encouraging people to not come see the cherry blossoms and most all of the events related to the Cherry Blossom Festival were canceled. So hopefully next year is the year we will finally get to see the cherry blossoms in person. I really want to try out a hydro-bike. They look fun. Thanks for the full watch!
Thanks for this video! I grew up in this area. The National Harbor is just across Alexandria VA over to Oxon Hill MD side. It offers various restaurants, stores, shops, and unique experiences like the Capital Wheel and water taxi. The Awakening used to be located in DC before it was moved here. Gaylord Hotel has a beautiful inner courtyard you can visit and offers a walking trail by the Potomac River. The National Harbor is also close to another landmark Tanger Outlets. Enjoy exploring the area. Only caveat is the parking fee is pricey.
You grew up in a lovely area. The parking is pretty pricey - you are right. But we still haven't checked out the Gaylord Hotel or Tanger Outlets so I guess we will prioritize those the next time we visit. We are glad you found our video. Thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment!

That is very cool! We have a tour of the MGM National Harbor video coming up. It was a really nice resort/casino. We would love to stay there sometime. But our main focus was all the stuff about a mile away on the harbor so most of our energies were focused in that area. But it looked like a nice casino with some cool dining options. We were very happy to have nice weather when we visited. We have had several overnight trips in recent months where we were just in town somewhere for a day or two and had bad weather so we were happy it was clear weather this trip. I love "The Awakening" Sculpture. Great merchandise. Great resorts. Nice MGM Lion. Great Wheel, you are pretty safe. One doesn't feel so exposed, unlike an air balloon. The Awakening sculpture was cool. The number of sculptures they had was cool too. It seemed like every time you turned a corner, you found another sculpture or mural. I really didn't used to be scared of heights. It is something that came on in recent years. So I think I will skip ferris wheels from now on. Yeah, they were basically asking people not to come see the cherry blossoms this year and put all the festival events online. We also want to check out some of the museums in DC that we haven't been to yet but all of them were closed. We had a good time walking through National Harbor though. The military statues were so realistic looking. Loved the historical statues too. Quite the array of characters. What a beautiful resort town. Love the awakening. Giant CoVid. LOL! That candy store-YUM!! Love the America and team store. That is a lot of alcohol. Those breakfast sandwiches looked good. Love a good boardwalk. Nice ferris wheel with the gaungala style carriages and carousel. Love dueling pianos. So much fun!!

National Harbor was so beautiful. There is a lot to see and do there and it is close to Washington DC. We highly recommend a trip there. We have also been to Baltimore's inner harbor area and we loved that area of Maryland as well. We are planning a trip to Ocean City, Maryland to see the beach sometime in the next few months. Yes! Everything we have seen about the Gaylord Palms brand looks amazing. They are apparently pretty awesome when decorated for Christmas from what we hear. So we want to try to come back through this area to stay at the Gaylord around that time. This was a neat area. We were there for a weekend and I think that was the perfect amount of time to see everything National Harbor has to offer. However, it is so close to Washington DC and Alexandria, VA that if we were to include sightseeing in those areas on the same trip, I could see spending a week here sometime. We enjoyed it. The Candy kitchen is my favorite with all the yummy chocolates, praline , candies! The souvenir shop has a lot of options and memorabilia! The visit to the National Harbor is beautiful!

Haha, I, Seth am actually not at all afraid of heights but for some weird reason I'm super uneasy on the enclosed ferris wheels. :D Lauren loves them though. Fun video guys!
National Harbor really was a fun place to explore. You should definitely check it out one day. I don't even know how my problems with heights started. I have been to the top of the Eiffel Tower. I have hiked up mountains. But a few years ago, I just started getting feelings of vertigo whenever I am high up and then that leads to a panic attack. It is no fun. I will admire large ferris wheels from ground level. LOL. Thanks for watching!

Cadillac Ranch is a great value and atmosphere If you have a big family I highly recommend staying at the "Wyndham National Harbor". You can choose between 1,2 and 4 bedroom suites. I've stayed there several times

Thank God those statues survived the riot nonsense. That candy would not survive long though. The guys have a sweet tooth. I think Orlando has a Gaylord hotel? Seems I've been past it but I might be wrong on that. The huge Ferris Wheels are cool but I might not be that brave. Glass bottom floor! 😳 Nope! 🤣 I would panic on that too. My panic usually includes colorful language. I've never seen the dueling pianos in person before. Looks like it was a great trip.
Orlando does have a Gaylord hotel! We have driven past that one before and it looks wonderful. We want to stay there too one day. I really did think I would be ok on that wheel but I freaked out big time. I guess that will be my last ferris wheel. Dueling piano bars are a lot of fun. Yeah, we thought it was weird that this resort area has been around 12 years or so and we hadn't ever heard of it. We are always on the lookout for places to visit and this place seems to have just come out of nowhere. But we really enjoyed our visit. Haven't been back to the National Harbor in a few years. Love the statues. I love the Savannah's Candy Kitchen. Lots of cool stores Oh boy, that ferris wheel was high. That carousel was pretty expensive. So much to do here. May have to stop next time we're driving past. 👍#21
It is a lovely area. We were there just a couple nights and felt like we saw most everything we wanted to see (except that the Gaylord resort hotel was closed - and there were plenty of other restaurants we could have tried). But if you take the water taxi to visit DC and Alexandria, VA, I can see how this could make a nice weeklong trip. Definitely worth checking out this area for at least a day or so if you can work it into your itinerary. Thanks for watching!

We were there for a weekend and I think that was the perfect amount of time to see everything National Harbor has to offer. However, it is so close to Washington DC and Alexandria, VA that if we were to include sightseeing in those areas on the same trip, I could see spending a week here sometime. We enjoyed it. I love traveling Maryland! Great state. Haven't been to National Harbor yet but looks like a fun place, we're adding it to the list. Haha, I, Seth am actually not at all afraid of heights but for some weird reason I'm super uneasy on the enclosed ferris wheels. :D Lauren loves them though. Fun video guys!
National Harbor really was a fun place to explore. You should definitely check it out one day. I don't even know how my problems with heights started. I have been to the top of the Eiffel Tower. I have hiked up mountains. But a few years ago, I just started getting feelings of vertigo whenever I am high up and then that leads to a panic attack. It is no fun. I will admire large ferris wheels from ground level. LOL. Thanks for watching!

Grace's Mandarin restaurant has a great atmosphere and very good happy hour. Cadillac Ranch is a great value and atmosphere
If you have a big family I highly recommend staying at the "Wyndham National Harbor". You can choose between 1,2 and 4 bedroom suites. I've stayed there several times

The art work was really cool. It seemed like every time you turned a corner in this town, you would find another piece of art. I am not even sure we saw all of it. Thank God those statues survived the riot nonsense. That candy would not survive long though. The guys have a sweet tooth. I think Orlando has a Gaylord hotel? Seems I've been past it but I might be wrong on that. The huge Ferris Wheels are cool but I might not be that brave. Glass bottom floor! 😳 Nope! 🤣 I would panic on that too. My panic usually includes colorful language. I've never seen the dueling pianos in person before. Looks like it was a great trip.
Orlando does have a Gaylord hotel! We have driven past that one before and it looks wonderful. We want to stay there too one day. I really did think I would be ok on that wheel but I freaked out big time. I guess that will be my last ferris wheel. Dueling piano bars are a lot of fun. I wish we could include the audio but they were performing popular songs that I think would result in copyright strikes. We really enjoyed this trip. Thanks for watching!

Yeah, we thought it was weird that this resort area has been around 12 years or so and we hadn't ever heard of it. We are always on the lookout for places to visit and this place seems to have just come out of nowhere. But we really enjoyed our visit. I suppose you are right - the food probably isn't anyone's prioity at Dueling Piano bars. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!

Haven't been back to the National Harbor in a few years. Love the statues. I love the Savannah's Candy Kitchen. Lots of cool stores Oh boy, that ferris wheel was high. That carousel was pretty expensive. So much to do here. May have to stop next time we're driving past. 👍#21
It is a lovely area. We were there just a couple nights and felt like we saw most everything we wanted to see (except that the Gaylord resort hotel was closed - and there were plenty of other restaurants we could have tried). But if you take the water taxi to visit DC and Alexandria, VA, I can see how this could make a nice weeklong trip. Definitely worth checking out this area for at least a day or so if you can work it into your itinerary. Thanks for watching!
