I just wanted to let you know that in August we have planned our 2nd and last cruise. I don’t have much time left on this earth and I accept it. Your wonderful family have unknowingly let me see so many things and I thank you for it. I will continue watching you wonderful people until I won’t be able to any more. I pray your lives will be filled with love and happiness. You will always be a special part of my life even when I’m gone. You’ve touched my heart and I thank you so much.
Angela- we're so sorry to hear that, and hope that somehow it won't be the case and you'd be able to go on many more cruises! We're touched to hear that our videos have helped you in such a way, and if you have requests for any particular videos please let us know! Thank you so much for watching and sharing your comments on them. We will keep you in our thoughts! 💖🤗
It's been great watching your son grow up all these years in your videos, and seeing how he can now eat without getting food all over his face :) It looks like he's now taller than Mom! Thank you for sharing your lives with us with your great videos. Keep up the good work!
Our pleasure! Yup we're amazed ourselves at how much he's grown- he sure enjoys the food on cruises lol. Thank you very much for watching our videos & commenting! 😊
@@TravelTouristVideos We love Joan's dance too, SO CUTE!!! ❤❤❤❤❤ Loved these 4 MDR dinners!! We are going on Harmony OTS, but it looks like your Allure OTS menus have been exactly the same, except they have taken away our Royal Night and put in a Taste of the UK. 😢 Thank you for the videos!! We'll be sailing Oct 27-Nov 3, 2024 out of Galveston, Texas.
Thank you for this very in-depth review. I had one RCL cruise to celebrate my wife’s birthday and wondered if the same menu was on the cruise ships. This was so helpful.
Great bunch of videos , no one covers the dining experience like you guys , been watching alot of cruise videos lately and you guys crush them and make them look like the little ants that they are!!!!!!!!!
Love your Tasty food presentation bravo 👏🏼 can't wait to take all of your top chef's food on the royal Caribbean cruise trip October 😊🌞 thank you for sharing this ❤️
Chicken Marsala is one of my all-time favorites, and I know Royal Caribbean will do a nice job on that. I'm super intrigued by the Chilled Banana-Cocoa Custard with tahini, maple syrup, and dates! Can't wait to try that. And the Braised lamb looks very very inviting. And *winner winner, Autumn Turkey Dinner!!* That one I know I'll love. Of course, I know I will enjoy lobster night, but it will be bittersweet for me. I will be eating my *one* single, tiny lobster tail with many tears, as I say goodbye to all-you-can-eat lobster tails. $17 + gratuity is absolutely INSANE to ask for a single lobster tail. There was something so special about being able to have as many lobster tails as you wish. It felt so magical to be able to eat as many as I could stuff myself with!!! But that's okay. I know there are plenty of food offerings I will enjoy on my cruises! Another great video! Thank you!!!
Our pleasure- thank you so much for the comment! 😊 And yup the lobster was pretty small, and agree with you that $17 is too much. We certainly didn't see any other guests order additional lobster tails lol. But yeah they did a great job cooking up that turkey dinner 😋
Thank you so much! 😊 We did like the new menu overall, which was similar to to the old but pared down, plus a few new dishes. It was a bit of a bummer that many items (which they called "classics") are not longer available every night. Still enjoyable though. 15 nights on the Explorer- have a great cruise! 🙂
@@TravelTouristVideos Exactly, was on Radiance with the classics and you could have Salmon every night if you wanted to. Still looks like a good menu, but the last night will be a bit sparse for me as I do not eat Lamb or Samon! My Mom would order Salmon every night. My Explorer cruise is from Miami to Rome! It is a re-book of the same cruise Royal cancelled last year, so I’ve waited for it. It’s on sale now, btw! Thanks for your kind reply! Do you guys have a Patreon channel yet?
That's going to be interesting on a 15 night cruise how the extra theme nights will be like. Would love to hear a little about them when you get back! Those Transatlantic cruises are nice- we've been on several. But now because our son's school schedule it's tough to find one that sails in June or later. You guys have a wonderful time on your adventure! For now we don't have Patreon just the TH-cam "super thanks" and a curated Amazon storefront at www.amazon.com/shop/traveltouristvideos where we share some our recommended items for travel.
@@TravelTouristVideos I will check those out. There are only six new menus, plus the Welcome Aboard and Bon Voyage so we will get at least one menu three times. There is always the Buffet! I actually booked another 15 nights in Oct on Anthem, but had a date conflict with my parish and just switched it to 14 nights in Nov on Rhapsody. Looking at Anthem for a Spring 2024 transatlantic. Yes, would love to bring my sisters family and her children along, but the transatlantic spring/fall cruises are usually outside school holidays.
I am sooo looking forward to the yummy food! I am mostly looking forward to the Prime Rib, Turkey and Caribbean Chicken and Jerk Pork Chop and that brownie I might get 2 of those!!😂
Love this series of the new RCC MDR menus! Great reviews, and can't wait to try the brownie! 😄 Question: If we order multiple appetizers/entrées/deserts, do they bring out the different selections of each category at the same time, or do we have to wait for each separate/extra selection, thus making our dining time take longer (and making the others in our party wait to eat too)? We're on Wonder in May and already know we'd like to try out at least two selections from a couple of the menus, but don't want to super-lengthen our dining time. 🤔🙂
They do have this new rule where the server will only bring one item at a time to the table for each guest. But the wait staff is usually attentive and will remove e.g. your empty soup bowl and then bring the salad shortly. It is a legitimate concern that it could take longer, though it helps a lot if you show up 5-10 minutes before the dining room opens, and order soon after sitting. If you need to make a show, letting your server know when ordering helps as well. Thanks for the question and have a great time on the Wonder! 🙂
I always love your videos, but one question..... who finishes everything your wife tries? 😄 Maybe someday we will see you doing the sampling in a video. Happy cruising!
Thank you very much- happy cruising to you too! 😊 We share the dishes between the 3 of us- she will cut and sample a few bites. I'm the designated camera guy 😁
So what are your thoughts on the changes in the MDR offerings and has the caliber of the food changed since your pre-pandemic cruises? Also they don't allow off menu requests but are they still allowing for requests of multiple servings of an item?
There weren't as many selections, and some of the go-to dishes that were available daily are no longer, so yeah not as good, but still good enough. But yes feel free to order multiple dishes, though their new rule is that they only bring out one at a time.
Excellent video. The photos are very clear & sharp and well labelled. This video helps others plan on what to order then they go on a Royal Caribbean cruise. Which ship was this? It seems that the food on the newer ships look better than the food on the older ships. I was watching some videos from other people posting photos of their food from Serenade of the Seas - it is supposed to be the same menu as the other RC ships but somehow the food on Serenade of the Seas does not look as good as in this video. If you have photos of the food from Serenade of the Seas, please make a video. I would love to see it. Thank-you.❤
Glad the video is helpful- thanks for the comment! 🙂 This was from the Allure of the Seas, and from our experience, Royal keeps the menu pretty consistent across the different ships. So for the Serenade you shouldn't see a huge difference, but there probably will be some differences for the same dishes based on the chefs on the particular ship and ingredients available.
Another great 🛥️🍽️ video. I'd have immediately chosen the 'Mediterranean Tapas Medley, "Vegetarian Greek Moussaka," and the 🤗 "Warm Apple Cobbler." #delish 🤤
We were recently on the Quantum of the Seas. The food that we were served on the ship, was very similar to what you’re served in the hospital. Quite disappointing.
@@TravelTouristVideos sure! The food was either bland or over-salted and it was served at temperatures that weren’t suitable = meals that should have been hot or cold, was most often room temperature. We honestly didn’t care for the Quantum, at all. I was also baffled by the art on this particular ship. The scribbles on the walls in the stairwells were so unappealing.
@@TravelTouristVideos All dining venues were consistently inconsistent. We ordered a Reuben at Cafe 270 and it was honestly inedible. We were able to eat what we selected, but none of it was memorable. We’ve never experienced this on a cruise before, so imagine our surprise.
All this looks so yummy! I can’t wait to try some of the items featured in your videos! Let’s be honest though, sometimes cruisers can over indulge 🫣 what’s your best remedy? Tums, Alka Seltzer?
Usually we try not to get too full. For us that means not eating too much carbs- for instance most of the time we won't eat the bread that's provided at the beginning of dinner. Eating lots of fiber (i.e. fruits & veggies) and having a stroll after dinner help us as well. Thanks for the question & have a great cruise! 🙂
I used to work on a lobster boat and they hold no fascination for me. To be fair I have seen most of these main meals at Hotel Bistros in Australia. The menus are designed for North Americans who want to enjoy a treat on the cheap..

Did you try any of the buffet food or specialty restaurants or only the main dining room?
Only the mdr this time but we've tried the sushi and teppenyaki on other Royal Caribbean cruises.
Cruise newbie here. So on lobster night is the lobster included or is it still an extra fee? Thanks
It is included on lobster night, though you can order on the other nights for an extra fee.
Would have liked to see other sides other than rice.
In our next episode...joanna shows us her exercise routine to eat so much and never gain a pound in all these videos!! 😂
Thank you! Lol yeah it's mainly get 10K+ steps daily and take the stairs when possible 😁
There was no complimentary lobster entrees on my Wonder of the Seas Cruise 4-11 June 2023. It was on the menu…but $16.99.
Did you go to the main dining every evening? Lobster night is usually on the second to the last night of the cruise.
I found that the food, in general, in the main dining was almost always under seasoned; especially the steak.
That's disappointing to hear- and that's their newest ship as well.
I liked this night the best...Joann was really liking the food. I was impressed. I know she wasn't shown eating it
But the onion soup..oh my beautiful.
😋
I have heard that. you can only order 1 main now, Is that true?
You can order more, though they will only bring one main out at a time. Once you're done then they'll bring the second main
tnx, I've heard that.@@TravelTouristVideos
The new menu on RCL really sucks. My lobster was about half that size.
