One of the reasons why I subscribed to your channel is your philosophy of getting your kids involved. I have three daughters and love getting them involved in my motorcycle and truck hobbies. Keep up the adventures man, your kids will be grateful for it all of their lives!
Glad to see the truck held up and gave you guys an awesome trip. I love how new damage only gives you an opportunity to improve the build even more!
That is what has got me this far!
Awesome video! Your truck did great out there. Glad to see you got right on fixing what needs it. After this year safety equipment is on the top of my list, to include a fuel cell!
Yea fuel cell, more reinforcements to the cage and suspension seats up front
The film work and quality is always so on point. Love it.
Thanks man. I do put extra effort into making them nice to look at. Lot more work but it makes for something that I wanna watch (despite my face and hair)
Oh, and my son shot a ton of the footage for this trip!
Wow that jeep ate it hard, look like you had a great time with you son. Really awesome build man! Amazing!!
Such an awesome trip. The wheeling was secondary to watching my son get excited about four wheeling!
Awesome post! Can't wait to see more Moab footage and the rest of good times with Stephen Watson of Offroad Design. Stoked about that front end you found!
Yea it is super clean!
it is great nobody got hurt. now you make some more awesome videos of you fixing your rig. it looks like you guys had a great time.
these videos are great! keep posting!
Thanks man! I have about three or four videos from the Moab trip. Awesome time! Great people!
I cant wait to finish my house so I can put some of your teachings to use on my blazer
Wow! That looked scary, nice work keeping it right side up
Do what you do Merrick, Drive On!!
If in doubt, throttle out
Great recovery on High Dive brother. That was almost way worse. Good work buddy.
I have watched it a bunch of times and still can’t figure if it was on its way over or was gonna settle. Either way I wasn’t hanging around to find out!
You never disappoint my man. Keep it rolling
I missed you coming down the High Dive but was really close when you flopped later.. The high dive video definitely looks like more impact than the latter (especially with the sand and body panels absorbing more of the impact). It was great meeting you and your boy out there!
I had no idea so many of the FSI participants had channels, btw!
(
Holy Cow! High dive looks gnar.
Nice wheeling!
There is a decent line down high dive. You will see in later videos I just missed it and created some challenges for myself!
Thanks again James for a inspiring video I just got my 88 k5 back on the road it's no where near what yours is but I'm taking it out and using it
Much love from orange county keep it up!
Dude. 5 years ago I could never imagine my truck progressing to this point. I guess this is what happens when you never stop wrenching on it! Ha ha
@@MerricksGarage truck goals for sure well thanks again, just wanted to throw this out there in case your open to it in driving home to orange county from San Francisco and I'm wondering if you have any parts you'd like to sell or even just to check out the build let me know I'll be briving through your area on Monday 5/6 in the evening!!DM me
You definitely almost did a Indo in the Ole K5 GREAT SAVE!!
Nice find on the front end. Only thing better looking than that would be the front likes on the Suburban with the two small square lights in my opinion.
Agreed. That might be in the future
Solid piece of driving on High Dive. Its can be so counter -intuitive to hit the skinny pedal when you are up on your nose like that. High Dive is IMO the most dangerous obstacle im Moab . To complicate it , the run out at the bottom isn't very smooth so, even if you gas it , as you should.. you still could wind up on your lid. liked and subd ... cheers
Great content as always, got big plans for my k5 just gotta sort out this oil leak haha
I would look at building a x cage to mount your fuel cell and give the back the support you are looking for. I wish I had some pics of what I did for my radiator support on my full size bronco
1 great work thanks
Is a fuel cell going to be on the list of upgrades or are you going to stay with a stock tank?
Yea I am definitely going to a fuel cell. Bashed my stock tank, slipped fuel everywhere and had starting issues due to pressure leaks.
Whered you get that lil hatch for the fuel pump I need one in mine hate the plate just being bolted over it
Go check my amazon store. There is a link for it. I also did a video on it a few weeks back
It didn't hold up because it wasn't built right. You have to have support bars on the opposite side also. Make everything work against each other
did you buy that front clip from the speed shop in ventura???
No, Craigslist score. Oh and where is the speed shop in Ventura? Ha ha
Lol guy who thought was gonna say iron man and catch the red jeep from rolling on side then was like whoooooop nope I outta here!!
Yea serious, let me support this Jeep as it rolls ha ha. Get the heck outta the way!
No video of the flop in the dunes????
Trail at 1:37? I'm heading to Moab soon.
That was just a little access road we found outside of St George. We drove down it and camped for the night. Was dark when we arrived but in the morning we were blown away. So beautiful
@@MerricksGarage thanks, I can't wait to hit the trails
Build, wheel, break, repeat.
I sure hope that photographer @ 7:50 isn't a friend of yours or something, because what I'm about to say.... Darwin Award Most Narrowly Averted of 2019.
Where's the suburban
In front of my house!
A good wheelman Doesn't Beat ur rig fact !! When u have a Child with U , U Don't do anything Stupid fact ! Be Wise be safe and show ur kid how to be a man and not to do Stupid thing's ! And a Real man Doesn't Blame his mistake's on other thing's !! Have a good day and keep wrenching , ur doing good
My Frnd I like your video we go off roading to we r going this weekend to Johnson Valley do you have an email
Had to unsubscribe. Was here for the truck but there’s far too much video of your face and hair product.
Not sure if serious, but either way this comment is awesome.
