I am trying to find someone to make a video about this slideshow published on the London Telegraph's website back in 2009. There is some truly bizarre factors and coincidence in the story including a hidden message in hexadecimal and the fact that there was no author credited with it's creation. Thanks for the video 😊, awesome as always.

Considering he started doing this in the Nederlands right after WWII: the dreams, interest in spiritualism, and self harm might have had a lot to do with trauma from what he saw and experienced during the war. Actually, there would be much more to tell about him. For example, the autopsy report shows that many of his organs, including the heart, were totally scarred.
Moreover, the needle was surgically removed after Mirin Dajo failed to dematerialize it. However, the doctors could not sew up the wound as quickly as it closed on its own.
I met an old woman who often traveled with him at that time. She administered his estate, including the film recordings.
He was a real star at that time because of his shows in Switzerland and many newspapers reported about him. If you are interested, I have many more stories about him, which would certainly fit your wacky way of telling ;)

You ever hear of "Iron Mike" Malloy? He was a homeless man during the great depression. A small group of bar owners tricked him into signing a life insurance agreement that made them the beneficiaries. They tried poisoning him with free alcohol. Unfortunately for the poor bar owners, Mike was Irish.
They gave him enough alcohol to kill several men every day to the point they wouldn't be able to pay back the costs.
They got him intoxicated and doused his clothes in cold water to kill him via hypothermia. He lived.
They gave him wood alcohol. He lived.
They gave him a sandwich with metal shavings. He lived.
They gave him antifreeze to drink. He thought it tasted better than anything he'd ever had.
They hit him with a f*cking car. He walked into their bar a few days later and could use a drink.
Unfortunately, the bar owners were eventually able to kill him with gas fumes and gunshots. This led to everyone involved being arrested and convicted.
They never got the life insurance from the company. It was actually publicly known who he was and how he couldn't die. Some reports claim he had pneumonia. If this was true, it's irrelevant.
Pff. As though some petty mortal disease can kill "Iron Mike"

About four days ago I stepped on a sewing needle and it stuck so completely inside my heel that I couldn't see it anymore. It hurt pretty bad but I didn't know anything was still stuck in there because I couldn't see it at all and unless I put all my weight on the heel it didn't hurt too bad.
There was no blood at all
I limped around for a few days in pain until last night after I got out of the shower and inspected it. The tip had worked it's way to the surface and I used tweezers, to my surprise, to pull out an entire sewing needle!
Props to this guy, puncture wounds hurt! Also, I guess now I know I can repeat the trick without as much pain.

Has anyone seen the David Blaine special where he stabs an ice pick through his hand? If you haven't you should take a look. Made Kanye West sick to his stomach. Pretty funny. Anyways, as you might expect, David doesn't just prepare for his stunts alone! He has a team of incredible helpers who aid him in safely preparing for a stunt such as stabbing himself through the hand. It just so happens that I worked with the person who taught David how to push an ice pick through his hand! Pretty crazy right? Basically what happens is you begin with a very small needle such as an acupuncture needle. You push the needle safely through your hand every day for years on end in order to build up scar tissue at that exact spot. Over the years, you move up to larger needles as your scar tissue is built up. The scar tissue allows you to puncture your skin without bleeding (it's a bit more in depth than just finding a fine point like QXIR states. It takes years of building up scar tissue.). When I used to perform often (before COVID), I had so much scar tissue on my hand, that I could see and point out the exact spot where I had to puncture my skin. Super cool stuff! It's traditionally called geek magic within the community. Why? I have no idea.

Wait a minute... so the reason why he was able to survive being stabbed was because he was stabbed carefully a number of times before and built up an immunity to it? My guy literally did "ingest small amounts of poison to build up a resistance" trick, but with goddamn swords? That's insane.

It was fantastic! I recommend this for anyone because its much better than the terrible jokes your friends and in-laws will be telling in their speeches. Two people in lingerie eating leaches will always top your drunken relatives remembrances of how stupid you where in grade school.

When he went to the bathroom, several solid "clink" sounds could be heard through the door. I guess the moral of the story is that popping bullets like they're Tylenol is fine, but swallowing needles is not.

I had to find the video of him being pierced. To my ancient eyes, I was born in 1958 when dinosaurs still roamed the Earth, the videos didn't seem all that graphic, but then the nightly news of the Vietnam War might have jaded me to impalements. The Xray that I found of him definitely showed the sword going through his body. The theory has it that he had to have lived for some time with a rod being slowly inserted into his body, deeper every few days until it formed a fistula, the same thing as the hole created by an ear piercing, and left there until shortly before a performance to keep the hole from closing up, just like a pierced ear, tongue, nipple, navel, labia, glans(OUCH) or any other part of the body.

He was showing some footage of some asian dudes doing this exact stuff and it did indeed traumatize her a little, and of course Daniel Tosh being the inconsiderate prick he is, never bothered to explain wtf was going on. Now that she's seen your explanation for how this shit works, she finally has some closure on the whole affair.
