Yay! You just helped me save a bunch of money. I really wanted to try the YouthBomb serum and I went to the website today during the "Early Black Friday" sale. Everything was 50% off, but that was still really expensive. Then I watched your video about BeautyPie. IDK, I'm not sure how to react to this video. While I may not always agree with all Cassandra's opinions on things, I normally trust her motives in giving them. This is the first time I have found myself doubting. Let me explain. After reading quite a lot of comments below (like I normally do on her videos) I was rather surprised by the amount of comments who had bad things to say about Beauty Pie, and in what way. It wasn't just the usual "I had a bad experience" that unfortunately there will be there for any product, but instead comments about being highly fragranced, dust actives, poor sunscreen, etc. In all, the negative and positive comments from those who had actually tried/looked into the products balanced out. And that gave me pause. Usually the products Cassandra reviews most people have favorable experiences, with a few who unfortunately had those bad experiences. The ratio seemed off. So, maybe the negative comments were some sort of coordinated campaign against Beauty Pie since it competes with luxury brands (less likely as often they seemed to be recommending sticking to cheaper drugstore etc. alternatives), or maybe this sponsored video was a bit more biased in favor of Beauty Pie , essentially an add, highlighting anything good to be said, and avoiding any issues. Because there was logically a lot of things that reasonably could and should have been said. Like that Beauty Pie is copying the RD of those luxury brands- so of course they can do it a lot cheaper- BP didn't invest all the money to develop it in the first place. Further if some are right about that sunscreen being subpar, then Cassandra would seem to be slightly more than hypocritical in endorsing it, considering her strong stance on SPF. She could still have had all positive experiences she had, but not mentioning ANY of the obvious criticisms or possible critiques of products, really made this feel less like her "own uninfluenced opinion" but one long sponsored add she was paid to promote. How and why she may have ended up doing that, IDK. It doesn't seem like her at all. But I can also see how so many people who trust her so highly are now rushing to buy Beauty Pie on the basis of video. I think I might be a bit angry.

You pay either $10/month or $59/year in order to buy their products at membership prices-like a sunscreen that would ordinarily cost $40 is $16 for members. Etc, etc.
What a shame that they arent available in Germany right now - let´s hope for the future 🙂 You have introduced me a lot into skincare as I always had huge issues with my skin in my teens, than it was quite nice and got quite bad again when living abroad - not knowing what to use with my oily-mixed-acne prone skin. I reeeeeally hope this "Costco" style subscription doesn't become the norm. I already feel overwhelmed by the amount of companies and products that require subscription services. I will not be trying this out of principle honestly. I'm absolutely sick of subscriptions. My brain can't keep track of it all and it makes it so much harder at the beginning of the year or the mobth when all the subscription services come to collect especially if I forget to cancel. Ugh, I'm just done. Their business model really turned me off from the whole thing. I have too much going and not enough money to be subscribing to a skincare line I don't even know I like yet, maybe this is great for someone who would even consider spending 80$ on a skincare item, but for me this is not affordable skincare, sorry 😭
Take it from an ex bp subscriber, their products are simply not worth the subscription and price rise. Very substandard formulas, DECIEM for example is far better. This is clearly a bias, sponsored video. ☹️
It's not a monthly subscription. It's just a pay a fee once a year or one time ($10) for 24 hours of use (that's the one I just tried). You don't have any obligation or repeat automatic orders like subscriptions.
Totally understandable, and I feel the same way generally but I have to say, theirs is a non-predatory one. You get a lot of notifications before charging, and they will immediately reverse charges if you forget to cancel; customer service is great. You can also pay 10.00 for a one time use that gets you the same discounts. The products are so good that I make an exception. Totally understand avoiding on principle though.
Interesting and informative video. Meaning to sign up to Beauty Pie soon. Been following you for a while. Very informative, educational, fun, and honest videos - thank you.
Love BP and so happy I found it! My favorites are the ceramide capsules and the japan fusion line. Everyone I have given the capsules are now addicted. Vitamin C is not my friend but glad to hear its working for you. Great video!
I've been using Beauty Pie for years. I tried to quit a couple years ago, but I couldn't. I love the One Powder Wonder and their lip shine balms. I've repurchased the pink tube cleanser too many times to count. Their scrub in the white container is amazing. I won't be quitting any time soon. Oh, they also sell silk hair accessories, pillow cases and sleeping masks :)
Just here to thank you for educating the world and myself with your knowledge that you had to work lonf and hard for. I do have a skin care notebook now that I take to the drugstore and keep record of all the products and ingredients that do or don't work for me. I'd love to learn more from you about body wash / lotion and hair/scalp care if possible 😅🙌🏻
I just order the night capsules and eye cream. I just came upon Beauty pie on the web and now its 60 days free trail going on in May 2022. I was looking for a night cream but the beauty pie capsules have a lot of expensive ingredients and also the Swiss made eye cream. Great video
First of all, I have to say that you introduced me to so many great products and started my skincare adventure, but isn't it a bit bold to claim that a certain SPONSORED brand has changed your skin while trying so many products? I know you make money from TH-cam and of course it's your right to get sponsored but I'd be happy to hear your real and unpaid opinion on products.
She’s a hypocritical virtue signaling liberal with no logic or morals. Beauty pie has good and bad products, with the usual non sense marketing and pointless perfume.
How do you guarantee you like a product and it has the intended effects when you're trying so many products at the same time? I love your recommendations, but I was just wondering if there's more depth to the info you collect that we, not having been taught as professionals in the field, fail to grasp. Like, say, you know what an ingredient does and you know the names of the other ingredients, can you immediately tell whether it will work for your skin or not? Do you make recommendations based on that?
In some previous videos, she’s mentioned just adding one or two new things at a time, test for a ~4 weeks and see how your skin turns over with it. If there’s no negatives, keep it and add more. This will give you the knowledge if an ingredient works for you and ur skin wants.
She did this over a year. The orange radians that you learn to like I know that work for your skin or not work for your skin so it’s always good to start there. You should try a new product one at a time, at least for two weeks If not longer
I ordered from Beauty Pie once. A few months ago they had a Free Trial for a free month. I made 1 purchase of makeup. Like 4 different products and I found some new favorites. Definitely Luxury quality and the packaging is actually still really nice too. I am looking to order again - more makeup & some skincare too. I am a believer! I hope they make even more makeup ♡ since I'm a makeup junkie. I would love more eyeshadows from them.
As a MUA I found their makeup to be very lacking. As I was looking to give clients a good lipstick to keep as they pay me £35 to do makeup so I give them a set of very high quality fake lashes if they want those. And I wanted to give them a lipstick to keep which they can use for the rest of their night out etc... I bought the beautiful purple colour called To the Beet and it was off my lips within 10 minutes leaving a horrible edge around my lips. I was so upset. I was using beauty Pie before I discovered K-Beauty and I have to say I've not gone back. K-Beauty beats it every time for skincare. The small all in one eyeshadow blush and contour packs are the best part of their makeup. It isn't as pigmented as I'd want but it is buildable. Morphe is still better value and a better formula than BP in my opinion and I don't buy from Morphe anymore as their formulations went downhill. They used to be great for new MUAs as you could build a good sized kit at a reasonable price that was really good quality. And as they've become more well known, it's gone shareholders more important than customer so just give us whatever and we'll still buy it... Check out the different pallets from Ciaté, esp when they have a sale as they're so pigmented and well curated.
@@irestar6 The only Lip product I've tried from Beauty Pie is the Liquid Lip Balm/Lip Oil & I really love it. L'oreal just came out with a similar type of product and I may actually like it a little more. Roen has a similar formula that I love. So I definitely think for $7.50 the Beauty Pie ones are worth it. I have the liquid highlighter that dupes the Charlotte Tilbury and it is honestly amazing. It blends in seamlessly with the skin and looks plump almost. It has a very smoothing appearance. I also have the highlight/blush/bronzer palette that reminds me of a Charlotte Tilbury palette that came out last year. They're baked formulas and are really smoothing on the skin. Lightly pigmented - so probably not good for deeper skintones. But I've been loving formulas like this lately. I actually just got the lighter Blush/highlight palette from Pat Mcgrath's Holiday collection and find the blushes to have a similar thing going on. They are both very smoothing and have a sort of satin-matte appearance on the skin. Really enjoying these products. But I am definitely careful to do research before buying anything from them so I know what I'm getting more. I was wanting to try some of the lip liners. Possibly an eyeshadow stick. Do you have any experience with these?
I love, love, love Beauty Pie! I've been a member for about 3 years, and maybe only order a couple of times a year but then order a lot of product. Love JapanFusion, and if you're an old lady, the JapanFusion moisturizer is a dream and works especially well if you dry up from tretinoin so I like to keep 2 or 3 on hand. Yes, the Retinols are pretty fabulous and cheap. I love the Super Retinol for Eyes, too. Just as you were talking about the Retinol with C, I was slathering it on my neck. I don't like sunscreen but the sunscreen you mentioned has such a wonderful feel and look on the skin that I actually use it. The whole Triple HA line is pretty fabulous. I bought the ABC challenge products for my daughter and the Niacinamide has really helped her melasma. Lovely stuff. I always order 4 or 5 different moisturizers because they're all so fun and really work for my dry skin, and if one doesn't, I just layer the Triple HA moisturizer on over it and voila!!! Haven't tried the Resveratrol Capsules but will add them to my next order. Have you tried the lip oils? Love them, too. Some of their candles have a lot of scent and some I just can't smell so that's hit and miss for me. I notice they're offering vitamins now. All in all, Beauty Pie is pretty fun and fabulous.
wait I'm confused same ingredients as luxury items - but not the actual same ones, right? ie not the same chemist working on the formulations. I thought what's more important is the combination, how these are prepared not the ingredient itself? Also, do they use the ingredients from the same sources? This doesn't make a lot of sense. This is like saying we are teaching at Harvard University - but without the professors/teaching staff; it's just the same faculty. I think this is a stretch saying it's the same as luxury brand - anyone else agree...
If it's cassandra approved then... More seriously I really adore your content and your ethics when it comes to skincare. I'm really looking into beautypie after this video and it does look fab 😍 it's grea that they come with a one day pass. UVA2 as in 2 stars? Sorry I'm not really well versed in uva rating systems, don't know how that compares to the ppd system (like my spf has ppd rating 42 which is considered pretty high).

As soon as I finish my differin I am totally using the beauty pie stuff. But for now I use the cleansing balm. sunscreen for body, and use the candles. So nice.
I’m not a fan of Beauty Pie purely because so many of their products contain dust amounts of the ingredients that are meant to do the job they say the products will do. For instance, I asked them how much Cica is in their cica cream and they said that “this product contains 0.01% of Madecassoside and 0.003% of Madecassic Acid.” (Both are cica extracts) This amount is so tiny it wouldn’t do anything anyway so I might as well purchase Korean or drugstore products that’ll do the job for the same price. The idea is there but the execution ain’t ✌️
Comparing this product to A’pieu, another madecassoside cream dubbed 2X, the 2x version has .2%. What kind of formulations are you comparing this against?
Gemma from Pampered Wolf got me so excited about this company some time ago. As I was then, I continue to be shattered that they don't sell to Aussie's!! Pooo!
Okay. I have to comment about how you talked about how their products don’t ball up. That’s something I love (but drives me a little bit nuts in a good way) their stuff is so silky and decently thick that they feel like they will be goopy and ball up but then somehow they don’t.
@@irestar6 I guess products balling up can vary based on individuals and/or their skincare routines. Because also products that many like sometimes ball up for me, like the cosrx sunscreen does it for me but many seem to love it
@@moniquevapnik3005 sunscreens can be a right pain in the rear when using with other products. @@irestar6 if I am wearing making I like to use the unseen sunscreen by supergoop because it feels like a primer. But ya, on a day to day I started mainly using tinted and pigmented sunscreens to keep it looking nice.

Well, you did it. Got me to try Beauty Pie. And I love it ❤️❤️ I have dry mature skin and love the whole JapanFusion line. Also got one do-it-all retinol product, Overnight Skin Perfector 2.0. After 6 months, my skin looks great (and maybe a bit younger). Also tried their makeup palette, nice but they no longer carry.
I LOVE LOVE Beauty pie ❤❤❤ and yes I'm obsessed with the V-C capsules!!! A few years ago (when I very vulnerable and in a dark spot in my self-esteem life) I got sucked into buying Cindy Crawford's Meaningful Beauty line and I paid over $50 for some purple capsules that I loved but didn't do that much! So happy and thankful for Cassandra and Beauty pie❤❤❤
I’ve been a member for about 6 months. I like the whole idea and love some of the products, but I HATE how heavily scented most the skincare is. Everything I’ve tried (aside from those cute little capsules) has this very artificial/perfumey smell, which ruins the experience for me (not bc it bothers my skin-I just hate it). I guess they’re trying to replicate the “luxury” experience, but ugh. On the other hand, the makeup is terrific and I’m anxious to try the haircare. 🤷🏻♀️❤️
What cleanser would you recommend thats really light and not stripping on the skin?, I also have acne so a cleanser that could help against that would be great
I really wish I could use a retinol, but we're trying to get pregnant. Looking forward to that after I'm done breastfeeding. For now, making sure I'm using other ingredients well. Thanks Cassandra for all of your amazing knowledge! 💙💜💚
BasicLab also has retinol with vitamin C :) I highly recommend you check out that brand. Also Bielenda Supremelab are great and affordable. The best ceramides I've ever used!
Why do some commenters keep saying their products come in tiny packages? They come in the same size you would buy elsewhere. The bottles are in boxes but they do use recyclable materials, no foils. Also, they aren’t “dupes”. They work with the same labs many of the luxury brands do but the labs do the R&D. My understanding is that many brands don’t do their own research, they buy from labs who have done all of the work. The reason it’s less expensive is no expensive marketing, etc. Their business model is explained on their website blog.

Hi! I discovered you on Facebook and love how informative you’re videos are. Are there any ingredients you would suggest looking for to help with eczema? I get flare ups a few times a year, and this one is worse than usual. I know you’ve suggested ingredients to look for to help with acne, so I figured it couldn’t hurt to ask.
Hi, I know you are asking Cass for advice about this. But I keep seeing commercials on TV for Dupixent, and I wonder if that would help you and other eczema patients.
I think with eczema you'll want to keep skincare minimal. Typically, colloïdal oatmeal is recommended (it's soothing), petrolatum is the best occlusive ingredient to create a shield for your skin. Fragrance-free products. Eucerin makes great and simple products for eczema

It irritates me that the prices of beauty pie productcts slowly increase every time I shop. I've been buying less and I'm not likely to try new products for this reason.
I tried Beauty Pie products. The foaming face wash dried out my skin, the night cream caused my face to turn red and it burned and the under eye cream did nothing. Maybe it's just me, but at least I tried it.
I wonder if it's normal to have almost no visible retinization at all, no redness or peeling. Because I've been using Retin-A for about a month and a week, and I've noticed next to no side effect other than very mild flaking on the chin and eye orbit. Though I haven't graduated to 0.05 yet, I'm still on 0.025.
Highly recommend retinoids. There can be a purging process for a few weeks when starting, but, start slow and gently in the evening. Hope it works out for you.

Is there a video that explains her skincare routine? I ask because there are a few products that are the same step in a routine or have similar ingredients in them.

I definitely don’t like the concept of…pay us a fee to buy our products. I’m sick of the greed.
Dang, I just told myself no skin care products for the year! (I over buy and over spend)
If you use up what you have, you can get stuff for Christmas . ;)
Omg the retinol hand cream is AMAZING and so are the capsules! So addicted now! 💜💜💜💜
Oh, they also sell silk hair accessories, pillow cases and sleeping masks :)
if you want the silk pillowcases or sleeping masks, jump soon. they have said there is no space for them in their 2022 holiday lineup...
Wish there was a beauty pie for Australian viewers. Currenlty is only USA and UK.
Yeah, disappointing. I have been getting a lot of Nourished Life, there are a few marketplaces like it though, anything you've liked?
To be honest iv seen her sponsored by a brand and she said she doesn't like every thing they make so I do trust her
She’s a hypocritical virtue signaling liberal with no logic or morals.
@@mmason330 Yeah, Im asking how she does her recommendations considering she doesn't have the time to try them all.
She did this over a year. The orange radians that you learn to like I know that work for your skin or not work for your skin so it’s always good to start there. You should try a new product one at a time, at least for two weeks If not longer
@@poweredman I know exactly what you mean, this is why I take reviews with a grain of salt when it’s coming from skin care influencers

You are my go to when I’m looking for the straight goods. 😻🐶🐰🐷🐥🐝
wait I'm confused same ingredients as luxury items - but not the actual same ones, right? ie not the same chemist working on the formulations.

Hi , 1st I love your videos. I am 51 years old, dry and sensitive, I need more was looking at beauty pie so thank you for video. I am looking for something to help firm and make my skin look less dull and more youthful. I know i can not turn back the clock, but was want to age gracefully I guess.
I’ve used the BP SPF a lot and then discovered it’s only rated as UVA 2, UVA4 being the gold standard. They may have changed the formula since though!
I love BP but I don't trust the suncream
@@elliebates4942 the same. I emailed them asking for a refund because I bought four tubes and I stated the reason why I wanted a refund and they didn’t comment!
UVA2 as in 2 stars? Sorry I'm not really well versed in uva rating systems, don't know how that compares to the ppd system (like my spf has ppd rating 42 which is considered pretty high).
@@morgianasartre6709 yes I believe it’s the star rating
I'll have to see if this is available in Australia, I wonder how the products would be for my super dry skin.
sadly they only ship to uk and usa atm. but it cant hurt to email them and ask them to ship to AUS! they always say they want feedback. [and there are forwarding services....but ofcits not cheap =\ ]
For instance, I asked them how much Cica is in their cica cream and they said that “this product contains 0.01% of Madecassoside and 0.003% of Madecassic Acid.” (Both are cica extracts)
This amount is so tiny it wouldn’t do anything anyway so I might as well purchase Korean or drugstore products that’ll do the job for the same price.
The idea is there but the execution ain’t ✌️
Exactly! I wish more people had the sense to acknowledge this! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Comparing this product to A’pieu, another madecassoside cream dubbed 2X, the 2x version has .2%. What kind of formulations are you comparing this against?
I absolutely love beauty pie. That’s all I’ve been using for over a year

Okay. I have to comment about how you talked about how their products don’t ball up. That’s something I love (but drives me a little bit nuts in a good way) their stuff is so silky and decently thick that they feel like they will be goopy and ball up but then somehow they don’t.
I've found that they do ball up on me :(
@@irestar6 I guess products balling up can vary based on individuals and/or their skincare routines. Because also products that many like sometimes ball up for me, like the cosrx sunscreen does it for me but many seem to love it
@@moniquevapnik3005 sunscreens can be a right pain in the rear when using with other products. If I'm not wearing makeup then I just use whatever is around but if wearing makeup I use makeup with SPF in it and then use a powder with SPF to top up during the day.
I've just not found any products from BP that work for me. Not a single one.
@@irestar6 if I am wearing making I like to use the unseen sunscreen by supergoop because it feels like a primer. But ya, on a day to day I started mainly using tinted and pigmented sunscreens to keep it looking nice.

Got me to try Beauty Pie. And I love it ❤️❤️
I have dry mature skin and love the whole JapanFusion line.
Can I ask what makeup you have tried that’s good?🙂
Hi Cassandra! Hope you are doing well ❤️

BasicLab also has retinol with vitamin C :) I highly recommend you check out that brand. Also Bielenda Supremelab are great and affordable. The best ceramides I've ever used!
Looks like a Polish brand though- they may not ship to the US 😞
Why do some commenters keep saying their products come in tiny packages? They come in the same size you would buy elsewhere. The bottles are in boxes but they do use recyclable materials, no foils. Also, they aren’t “dupes”. They work with the same labs many of the luxury brands do but the labs do the R&D. My understanding is that many brands don’t do their own research, they buy from labs who have done all of the work. The reason it’s less expensive is no expensive marketing, etc. Their business model is explained on their website blog.
Hey Cassandra! I absolutely love you and your channel. Can you please review the Revision skin care line? Like the Revision Retinol Complete 1.0 and lmk if it really works? Also the Revox 7 and DEJ cream? Thanks so much!
Eucerin makes great and simple products for eczema
she recently put out a video on recommendations for over-the-counter eczema products if you’re still wondering!

It irritates me that the prices of beauty pie productcts slowly increase every time I shop. I've been buying less and I'm not likely to try new products for this reason.
