Hi Scott! You could get the breakup tone at any volume with the pedal and there is our Sweet Honey Overdrive as a boost too, so lots of tone variation possibilities for sure, thanks!
These clips were all in front of the amp, thanks! Works well both ways. If you have an amp with a very different front-end from a Fender, but are looking for more fender tone. Then hook the Super Black in the loop return. This will bypass your amps preamp.
Super Black is a Fender blackface tone in a box, the whole amp circuit is replicated inside. Plus it has the Sweet Honey Overdrive circuit as a boost. Thanks!
Why is it that every video for a pedal that delivers classic Fender sounds begins with plugging said pedal into a Fender amp?!? OF COURSE IT'S GOING TO SOUND LIKE A FENDER!!!! Give me a video with one of these plugged into a clean Marshall.
Hi, Fender amps are here only as a background decoration. We used our Old School 51 RT, which sounds very different from Fender, on purpose. This is mentioned in the description and also you can see there is no light on Fender amps, but you can see our amp being "ON" in the middle. Also the other demo we have made uses a Two Rock Bloomfield Drive amp, that again does not sound like a black panel Fender amp. OS 51 RT and the Two Rock both sound much more in the British vein as you are hoping than a Fender amp. We do not know about other de videos, but our official demo videos do not have Fender amps on them. On purpose.
If it replicates the whole circuit of an amp, why do you plug it into an amp and then attach a Torpedo to the amp? Aren't you duplicating the power stage that way? I'd like to find a demo of this one and the Loud'n Proud directly connected to a cab sim.
Hi, it works either way and it does no matter if the power stage is duplicated or preamp. As you can connect the pedal into loop return as well. We should come up with a demo playing it straight into cab sim. Thanks!
Thank you for your response. I finally got my Super Black and, as I expected, it sounds great with just an IR loader after the pedal. That’s the way many of us could use it to play at home and that’s why you should demo it that way in my opinion. It’s so good that I’m thinking in getting a Loud n Proud and an A/B switch to have the perfect combination. So tired of digital modeling…🙃
