I've just finished 600m of fencing and 6 H braces. And the satisfaction of knowing its all finished is amazing. The only help I had was a machine to clear the land. So i also feel proud that as a 60+ year old woman...i acheived this on my own. I made it extra tall and several electric strands as well. Now i just have to bring my goats over and test it out lol ❤
Seriously your videos have recently made me want to go and get my farmstead. Your family is so motivating and it's been amazing to watch your daughter grow up. I'm currently 8 months pregnant and can't do much but believe me when I can, I hope I can be as inspiring as ya'll have been
The words you spoke while doing the basement shelving “ I’m only one man” play over and over in my mind. When I feel so overwhelmed and alone I just recall your words in your voice
You should be very proud! That was a LOT of fencing & clearing in a short amount of time. That brush/tree/branch clearing machine is a monster! BTW, rolling out the fence with the mini truck and the Spinning Jenny were brilliant!
With 2025 coming up soon you and Lorraine achieved so much on top of the house you worked outdoors you put so much into your property and it looks great.

This is a wonderfully done video. Loved ALL the positive “out loud thinking” to encourage yourself. The fences look great. God designed our bodies for hard work. It makes us stronger, healthier & more flexible. Outdoor work is hard, but 10x more beneficial for a long life - minus smoking, no junk food, staying hydrated, vitamin D & real sweat equity! Bravo 👏 Great job 💪
When I see all that ‘BACKBREAKING WORK’ you have done and all the ‘Barn’ work you have done you deserve a Medal🥉🥈🥇 it is just so much. You are ‘Achiever’. What a sense of achievement. You go for any reward you can. That is a huge victory. Well done !!!!
Wow, I've watched every single episode you've made since your time doing the farm tour bus for the Rhodes. I love your recap videos... What I love the most is "you're real, down to earth and honest", same as The Hollars and The Lumnahs. That's how you all seem anyway lol.
from experience i know fencing is a big job but its so rewarding.. its a statement of intent and a clarification of being there on the land.. and of actively mindfully doing your thing.. well done guys.. much love and god bless xxx

IT WAS SO RELAXING TO WATCH. SORRY FOR THE CAPITALS I HAVE ONLY ONE EYE MAKES IT EASYER TO COMMENT.THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU. BYE
To my mind you have more than doubled the value of that property between fencing, barn repairs, greenhouse, water catchment/picnic area, designer kitchen upgrade and floorplan updated . . . Amazing work from a tiny family all while raising a good daughter who works with you and running two successful podcasts and notary.
Jason, WOW !! JUST WOW!! You, your father in law, Lorraine and your daughter did 7 acres !! Love how organized you are, your property definitely shows that too !! You sweet man, definitely need a tractor ! GOD BLESS YOU & HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU & YOUR FAMILY ! ❤
Good job on fencing! Nothing makes as good a neighbor as good fences. A trick to help you standing up that field fence wire in a long stretch by yourself, is to hang it in several spots down your line with 18" or so wire hooked to the top of your post with a crook in it and hang your top wire on it. That should give you enough slack as you stretch to keep helping it stand. Someone down the line walking and shaking the fence as you pull it also makes it stand up faster. Very satisfying to get your fence up! Getting it done is a huge accomplishment!
I enjoyed watching you put up that fence . It brought back memories of my dad whe he put up a fence for the neighbor . They had a little girl who liked to play outside. There yard wasn't fenced nether was ours .It wasn't ever fenced I played outside with no fence . We had a black lab that wouldn't let me out of the yard . He always followed me all over the yard . Prayers 🙏 and Love From Oklahoma
Thanks for the amazing video showing your hard work. What a feat! I'm sure it brings you a lot of relief and great satisfaction. I have to say the work truck brings a smile to my face every time I see it. It's the cutest truck ever.
I was never so happy as when you hired that forestry mulcher to clear that perimeter!!! I will forever be impressed with your fortitude to get that HUMONGOUS project done and MOSTLY by yourself with MINIMAL fancy equipment!! What an amazing accomplishment!
Don't ever get discouraged! Love your land. Hard working and step by step! Love the helper you had. ' Homeschooling outside', yes you can learn a lot. Love watching your homestead. Learning a lot myself!
Enjoyed All the fencing videos and I have two words; ingenuity and tenacity! Having done fencing I understand how hard it can be, and what a workout it is. Amazing job, (sorry you lost that gate though ☹)
I always wonder why a fence isn't the first thing people do on a new to them property. Just seems like fencing eliminates a lot of problems. You are great at the "teaching" aspect if it all.
You have your ATV the truck and it’s a step above. The truck with a farm use license plate can go to town. And it’s helping. Keep your eyes open for a farm tractor and field equipment. You have done quite a bit of work and are doing great things. Thumbs up 👍
No more neighborly dogs, because they got ⚡️ ⚡️ ⚡️ and yelped all the way back home. 🐈 🐈⬛ rule and 🐕 🐩 drool. 😂. Always a good time to watch your videos Jason, along with Al and Ben. You keep putting in all the hours and I’ll keep watching all the hours. 👍
Man, alive!!! You are a real ROCK! It was fun watching you go through this whole process back when you were doing it every day...then, this video makes for quite interesting watching, just to see how diligent you have been. You could be a consultant on building fences, my friend! Oh, yeah..."Jason, the Professional Fencing Consultant--and Notary!" Yeah, man! ~Dr. Larry S. Anderson • Tupelo, MS (birthplace of Elvis)
So much work and WOW does it look amazing! You are very clever, Jason. I liked your analogy of playing a video game. You and your family and friends did an exceptional job. Well done.
Fantastic job! I wasn’t sure that I would watch this whole video when I first saw the length of it but couldn’t stop watching! Your tenacity and resourcefulness were impressive to watch! You’re lucky to have friends and family members to help when they can! You’re a blessed person, I can see that! Thanks for taking us along!!
Great compilation of your fencing Jason! I remember every video and since you're one of my favorite homestead homies I can't miss any of your videos! You did an amazing job!💖👍💖
You mean we could have just waited for this video and watch all the fencing at once? haha watching it all at once puts into perspective how hard it was. You all did a great job on it.
I confess, even though this is a terrific project that you've completed, , my favorite part was the agricultural mulcher. Enjoyed at the first time and in this overview as well.
Great recap of that fencing adventure. What a change to the farm and what a impressive skill you have learnt. Great job. Now let's some new beefy boys Jason
A lesson in persistence and discipline, well done! And reminds me of t😢quote: we overestimate what we can do in the short term, but underestimate what we can do in the long term.
There's an old saying that goes like this: Good fences make for good neighbors. And isn't it the truth! Watching y'alls journey is easily one of the highlights of my day, and gets me dreaming about my own homestead one day. 😊
Jason...I agree that you are a mighy man! Your strength absolutely amazes me! The one thing that I know anot those logs... They are HEAVY.! AND LORD KNOWSyou are moving them around single handedly... You go do you Brother sending ❤and 🙏for your mission in life! Wishing you all the best and maygod continue to bless you and yorfamily❤
I've so enjoyed watching this video!I I watched you put this fence in earlier in short increments but this was very enjoyable watching you to get it done and stick with it to the end. A very good work ethic. Being from a farmer generation, this is what is the ethic for being a farmer. It's always sticking with it and eventually it gets done. Every job is going to be that way. Your being from So. Calif (as I have been also), the mindset is working a 5 day work week, get days off for holidays, get a 2 week vacation, and even take a day off if you don't feel like going in to work if you feel you can do that. Farming is so not like that at all. Dad always worked alone on our large farm but so did all the other farmers in the area. When there were real large projects like barn building etc, some other farmers came to help and you went and helped them when they needed it as well. But watching you do the fencing and butcher your own pig brings back so many memories for me. Thank you for the extra work it took to film this for me to enjoy. Keep it coming!!!
You remind me of my cousin, Eddie Wayne. If you put on cowboy boots, a cowboy hat and a pair of wranglers...I'm not sure I could tell you two apart at a distance. same voice and mannerisms, too!! I put up a fence once and it was the most difficult thing I ever had to do. Drilling and pounding those holes into the ground was so difficult for me. Your daughter is learning wonderful lessons in homeschooling.
Hello Sir and to your family, I have watched all your videos, some several times, I want to congratulate you for all this work that you have accomplished often alone. I think that your medical past and especially your gerison have given you a rage to make up for lost time. Good luck for what you want to undertake in the future. Regards Henri (France)
Do we really need to rewatch old content mashed together? Same as your water tank rehashed video, it's like watching the friends clip show, skip to next week. 🤣
Being able to apply the 'right' tools to the task helps tremendously. But, we don't always have them. Your video shows how you apply what's available and then adapt as you can. Pure homesteading. Good on you.
You did a great job, Jason!! I love to see your humble pride. It's just beautiful. Anything worth something is hard! But, the accomplishment makes it so worth it. I remember when that forestry mulcher came in. I had heard of them. I had never seen one in action. What a wonder thing that was. It all looks great!!!
Was glad to see you hired the forestry mulcher to clear the very overgrown property line. Clearing brush, small, over grown & dead trees by hand is very time consuming as you found out. Fencing is very labor intensive & time consuming especially when installing non climb or field fence as you did. High tensile is much easier to string, attach & stretch. Your perimeter fencing looks good & will be there for years to come. Great job! I have about 5 acres of brush to clear after it dries up in the spring & 1400 feet of fencing & gates to do to finish my perimeter & not particularly looking forward to it..
pretty accurate for most jobs, doing fence posts in better condition and locations then concreted in with great securing using right tools. totally understand. preparation and analysis before doing the job competently equals long time success.
What a blessing to have a father in-law, who is willing to help out so often!👍👍
