This is the best new year re-cap that I have seen. Your family has accomplished so much this year. It's wonderful you have your in-laws close, they have been a big help. Bless you all in the new year.

We moved from a nice house in California, pool, 1600sq ft shop,etc... bought 30 acre farm in Arkansas. Everything needs work. I don't think we realized how hard moving and cleaning and remodeling and getting animals would be. We are exhausted when we hit the bed at night. Bodies beat and sore... Its so worth it! We basically live on what looks like a park. Take chances, get dirty, start living. Thanks for sharing your story, it's amazing 😍

Growing up on the farm, the cows came to the water. Our collie would bring them twice a day, and then take them back to their pasture area. Fencing was a huge area but the cows stayed in their smaller area without the need for fencing. They go where the food is. They are highly trainable.

I just found you, this is the first video I’ve watched on your channel. I’m so impressed! Your family has a down-to-earth genuine quality that many of the other channel seem to lack. There’s no boasting, no bragging, no making it look easy, like you know everything. It’s more of a day by day learning experience, and growing confidence in your abilities as you achieve each goal. Your family and videos feel comfortable, like people you would enjoy having as neighbors and friends. I look forward to catching up on your older videos, and can’t wait for the new ones. Congratulations on making your dreams come true, I’m excited for you, and inspired by you. Thank you for allowing us to walk this journey with you.

I found FREE wood chips from two separate places around me…1. small little towns with a developing sanitation department and park and recreation depts have wood chips from city projects or 2. they have landscaping people they know who have worked city projects and the chips from the projects and need to be gotten rid of and they will give the chips for you…THEY EVEN LOADED THE CHIPS ON THE TRAILER FOR FREE! I have followed you for a while and so happen you have moved toward your homesteading life. My mantra is KEEP LEARNING! Keep growing! Keep living the Life! Y’all have had one successful year!

I enjoy them so much because y’all weren’t born in this lifestyle but you chose it and you are learning and you don’t try to pretend you know everything about but are real about learning (I didn’t know cows lie down to sleep either). Dear Family, happy new 2023 on your new land. Just an idea for the severely depleted areas- meadow flowers love such type of poor soil and they do not have to compete with grass. So if you like to have bees and some beauty - meadow flowers will bring insects , birds, wild life and so much beauty - there are so many varieties from early spring to late autumn. Enjoy your plot❤❤❤

I love your philosophy of buy ugly. With all the clearing and pasture improvements you made this year, do you have a flyover video you made of your new property early on that could be copied with all your changes? We the viewers would love to see the before and after of an entire year. It will be fun to see a before and after video of your fence line improvements.

This was a wonderful video for the new year. 😁❤👍 I subscribed in the last year so this was very informative. You & family are such hard workers. I love the way you just jump in & make something if you don't have it instead of just purchasing it. It's not just the finances but, the experience & knowledge you gain by DYI & the feeling of self accomplishment. My son purchased his first home last year with 4 acres; he's just getting started. ❤🚜🐤🐥🐔🐓🦃🦃🐷🐖🐖🐮🐄🐄🐂
