Dave your genuine honest and truthful kind loving intention motivation and purpose for creating this Vervet Monkey Foundation is the rewarding moment when the babies have been left for dead who have lost their mums their troupes and they have lost hope terrified or near death completely given up you created this miraculous method of adoption reintroduction and breathe new life back into these precious babies and witnessing this moment when their fear turns into realization that they have their missing part of their heart replaced they regain their belonging and get a new beginning to happy fulfilled life. There is no doubt why you created this place of healing Anyone who watches your staff and the lengths you all go to begin comforting rehabilitating and reintroducing theee babies to new moms new entire troupes we all see the indescribably pure love moment when a foster mom and baby bond...the moment the baby looks at the new mom as her own is the most beautiful thing anyone can witness...clearly you are rewarded and have so sweetly shared this lovely event with others. Anyone auth abandonment issues should wutness this. Thank you

I love watching them all snuggled to eacother when they're watching the older ones play through the fence. Do you try and keep them in the same area when they leave Neverland? Or does it just depend on which foster mom they get?

Another wonderful episode! Even though we are on the sidelines, it's still so gratifying to see the babies- from entering the Foundation... all the way to walking out with a Mom into the enclosure. It's truly amazing that this system that Dave has devised really and truly works. I still can't get over how everyone at VMF knows every single monkey by face. When you come to the Foundation, is there a quiz? I was just wondering, because everyone seems to know everybody and their respective personalties Plus, you all know which monkeys do/don't get along with each other- multiply that times the troops (with how many per troop? 50-100?) You know which monkeys to let in and which ones you can't (into the enclosures). It's just amazing- I don't think I have the memory chops to volunteer, although that is on my 5 year plan (I can always cut up vegetables if I can't remember anything, right?) Anyhow, thanks for letting us all be a small part of what you do. We did receive the email expressing your gratitude, but we are the ones who are truly grateful. Thank YOU all for letting us tag along on your amazing journey with the monkeys at VMF.

Hi Lynn, I have been watching & enjoying "The Vervet Forest" for about 4 1/2 years and the following is from what I have noticed: The Bandits are not all boys, they are wild males & females. They call them "Bandits" because they are always eager to take something they shouldn't. The adoptive "Moms" are adult & they usually Foster a baby or two and sometimes 3 each season. There are "Mom Monkeys" like "Mrs. Gold" that can be considered Professional Moms. They are AMAZING! It makes my heart happy to see the Babies get over their trauma and find a Forever Mom.
I hope you enjoy this program; I SURE DO! Thank you, Vervet Forest, Catt B.

Does the step mother ever rejected the baby if they are a certain age? How young do you start the girls off to being step mums?
